Absolutely shocking. A 26 year old man named as Kyle Clifford, believed to be armed with a crossbow, is being sought by police.
The dead women are aged 61, 28 and 25.

Interested as to why you've read about the horrific murder of 3 women, yet your main concern is the animosity being shown towards men?

It's absolutely appropriate to show animosity towards the sex that commits 98% of violent crime.
No one is being unkind (God forbid women are unkind!) towards individual men, but if you can't name and identify something, you can't deal with it. And MALE violence against women and girls is frequent and horrific. It's terrorism.
And i would hope decent men will understand the fury women feel when events like this happen.

Of course. I think we all knew that immediately because it always is. I hope he is locked up for the rest of his life. I also hope that he hadn't been reported to the police already for threatening behaviour, but I wouldn't be surprised.

He had worked as a security guard. I should think that his violence was never far from the surface. I can’t say just how angry I am. This happens over and over and over and people still say “Not all men””

But it is all men. They all benefit from women and girls living under siege.

there's a NAMALT thread for you in AIBU. Take it there.
We are talking about 3 (more) murdered women.

Please don't tell people what views they can and cannot express. The OP simply stated the facts of what happened. We are all free to post our views on the thread.

Cocothecoconut · 10/07/2024 15:07

Wtf
that is awful

I think most would agree your NAMALT views are not welcome on this thread about three murdered women. HTH.

Among the hatred here for men there is a man who has lost his wife and 2 daughters in horrific circumstances. I can't believe the animosity being shown on here for men. It's just not appropriate.

That's funny, because I can't believe you'd exploit a triple murder to push your shitty NAMALT agenda and prioritise men's PR.

Well actually I can, because you lot always do. But it's no less transparent and foul for that.

Brefugee · 10/07/2024 15:07

pack it in. You know exactly what i mean. We are mourning the loss of 3 women at the hands of a man.

NAMALT is not appropriate here and it isn't "telling people what to do" to ask them to take it elsewhere at this time.

YellowAsteroid · 10/07/2024 15:07

Have a little respect

My respect is reserved for the average of 2 women a week murdered by men, mostly by men they knew.

MotherFeministWoman · 10/07/2024 14:19

Fucking hell, men are awful

THIS murderer is awful, not all men.

So sorry for the family.

BaronessEllarawrosaurus · 10/07/2024 15:11

CyanideShake · 10/07/2024 14:57

Horrifying.

Cannot begin to imagine what their husband/father is going through at this moment.

What is it about some men that they can’t take, or refuse to accept, normal rejection? Getting dumped sucks but you wallow in your feelings for a few months and get over it. You don’t decide to murder your ex, her mother and her sister. Such a pathetic little ego, such gross violence.

Edited

This post is an example of the battle we have to get vawg taken seriously.

My sympathy lies with the victims, the 3 women who have lost their lives in what must have been an absolutely terrifying attack.

needtonamechangeforthis1 · 10/07/2024 15:11

You know what guys get a fucking grip!! Why does it always have to descend into a slinging match!!

There is room for both recognising that make violence is a huge problem. Not only towards women but towards other men too. It's a huge problem and one we are allowed to be angry about.

But there is also room to recognise that a man has had his life destroyed by this too. It sounds like he found them as well. It is unspeakably awful for Carol, Louise and Hannah. It is also for their husband/ father John and their wider family and friends.

TallulahBetty · 10/07/2024 15:11

Poor poor man, his whole family wiped out.

No doubt the daughter had the 'audacity' to dump this scumbag and he reacted that only 'men' know how.

GiveMeThePurpleOne · 10/07/2024 15:11

3luckystars · 10/07/2024 14:55

I wouldn’t think badly of anyone saying they are his daughters, as he is well known. It’s like ‘Kate Garroways husband’ when he was in the news.

May they rest in peace. That poor man left behind. What a tragedy, God help them all.

Agree with this, feel sorry for everyone involved dreadful to think of what happened to them in their final moments.
Also I hope John has a solid support system he has just lost everything..

Please don't turn this into an all men are the same post
Remember, a MAN has lost his wife and two daughters
Have a little respect

Please don't turn this into a man-centric thread
Remember, THREE WOMEN have lost their lives.

This statistic deserves to be repeated again and again, because most people are unaware.

And no, "Not All Men".

But "All Of Them Are Men".

Another rage-driven male killing an ex-partner and every other female in the vicinity. I'm so angry. I hope the police get to him before he takes the coward's way out like they usually do.

Don't they just...Michael Ryan all over again.

Let's hope he is caught before he has a chance to murder other innocent people.

Oh no! None of that crap - you remember that three WOMEN have had their lives brutally taken from them.

pilo7 · 10/07/2024 15:13

Terrible.

When I saw the headline, I thought 'Christ, that poor man, discovering that scene'. No, I did not think of what those women went through. My brain doesn't want to go there.

If it was my neighbour suspected of the murders, I would probably, in shock, tell reporters what a nice man I thought he was.

And I also thought, thank god for the kind and decent men in my family. NAMALT, if you like. It's quite obvious that it isn't all men. What stops the majority from behaving in this way? That's a question to consider, as much as we ask why it's usually men (because it is almost always men).

Something utterly dreadful has happened. I don't think the instant angry bickering about people saying the 'wrong thing' is helpful. People are and will be extremely shocked by this.

There is another daughter who was not at the house.

John Hunt was commentating at Lingfield yesterday, racing finished at 5.30 so seeing as the alarm was raised at about 7pm it fits that he is likely to have arrived home and found them.

DTisawazzock · 10/07/2024 15:14

My God, the utter evilness and madness of some men.

nommom · 10/07/2024 15:15

Those poor women, all of them with so much to look forward to its just horrific.
I do feel for their friends and family and yes the father and husband who must be in so much pain right now.

Even my "nice" sensitive boyfriend when I was a teenager and who dumped me became verbally abusive and physically when after years of us not even seeing each other and then randomly bumping into each other in a bookshop when I refused his request to get my number and start seeing each other again even though I was engaged to my now husband at that point. Somewhere in the back of his mind he thought I still belonged to him and that it was his right to swear and shout at me and grab me when I told him no, thank god it was in a public place! Then what about the women who had to ask me to walk with her because she had just broken up with her boyfriend and she was terrified he was going to hurt her.

Sadly women aren't safe from men, it isn't all men but how can we ever know?

Scorchio84 · 10/07/2024 15:15

@CaveMum I didn't know there was another daughter.. I hope she & her dad find solace in each other at this awful time

TallulahBetty · 10/07/2024 15:15

Of course it's Not All Men.

But we can never know for sure which men it is..
