Absolutely shocking. A 26 year old man named as Kyle Clifford, believed to be armed with a crossbow, is being sought by police.
The dead women are aged 61, 28 and 25.

I’m expecting these posts to be deleted. But. Did you hear his neighbour say his family are a lovely family and wouldn’t do this

She didn't??? Oh my fucking god 😡

I actually don’t think they do have wonderful husbands/sons/dads as these comments must come from a place of insecurity to immediately rush to remind us NAMALT.

I’m as secure as can be that my husband is a good person, but I still think there’s a large proportion of men who are absolutely vile and men undeniably inflict more violence on women than vice versa. The number of female killers is vanishingly small and tends to make headline news each time. As we all sadly know, 3 women a week are murdered by a current or former partner.

my DH isn't like this. I have been nearby (not even close) when he has remonstrated with football fans not to paw at, lear at and make sexual comments and gestures to two young women who happened to get in the train after a match.
He collected his sister and took her to a place of safety when her husband turned out to be a physical abuser.

And i am going to guess that a LOT of DHs (and men in our lives) are like that. If they are not - what are we doing about i t?

again (this is addressed to the NAMALT brigade): take it and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. Or start your own NAMALT thread. You. Are. Not. Wanted. Here.

Neighbours are probably terrified them

well just say nothing then, no need for any comment

AnonymousBleep · 10/07/2024 14:47

Hopefully the murderer has offed himself already. I bet he has.

Cadela · 10/07/2024 14:47

I can’t imagine how terrified they must have been. How many more women need to lose their lives to men for pointless reasons. Everything gone in a moment and for what?

May they be at peace.

RisingSunn · 10/07/2024 14:48

Just shocking. His brother is in prison for life for murder too apparently.

I really hope’s caught soon as I heard they had to lockdown some local schools.

crowgift · 10/07/2024 14:49

A few years ago a neighbour of mine was murdered by a "nice man". Her husband. Her murder barely made a couple of lines in the local newspaper. The day before he was on social media talking about their upcoming holiday.

In this current situation do the police know if he is in a vehicle or on foot? Would be good to know so we can all keep an eye out for him/vehicle. He could be anywhere by now.

Brefugee · 10/07/2024 14:49

i have called the police at least a dozen times, and an ambulance once when my first aid wasn't up to the challenge, on my neighbour who beats his wife. I make my DH stay behind when i go and ring their bell because i know that if he came with me he'd go in swinging and i don't want that.

And should neighbour ever end up killing her and the press asked me? i would say that he had always been violent scum and i hope he gets life. Not "oh they're so nice how could this happen"

CharlotteRumpling · 10/07/2024 14:50

I had to leave the room the other day when Dh and DS started having a convo about male violence and women's safety. Even being "good guys", they have no idea. Not a clue as to how unsafe women feel. DD and I just rolled our eyes.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 10/07/2024 14:50

We're in Herts. What area plz

crowgift · 10/07/2024 14:52

It's Bushey and they're also searching Enfield

Yes.

I 100% guarantee that when DH and I talk about this later, and we will, the very first thing he is goign to say is "men are such fuckers". Because good men ALSO don't feel the need to say NAMALT.

SemperIdem · 10/07/2024 14:52

Those poor women, the terror they must have felt.

Another rage-driven male killing an ex-partner and every other female in the vicinity. I'm so angry. I hope the police get to him before he takes the coward's way out like they usually do.

This is bloody horrific, but sadly all too common. Man kills women. Will we ever be rid of the scourge of male violence?
I'm opposed to the death penalty for many reasons but after 50 years on this planet and reading of women and girls raped, abused, terrorised and murdered on a daily basis by men i'm reaching my 'just string the bastard up and be done' point.
May these women rest in peace, and may he rot in hell.

Vikina · 10/07/2024 14:52

Among the hatred here for men there is a man who has lost his wife and 2 daughters in horrific circumstances. I can't believe the animosity being shown on here for men. It's just not appropriate.

TennisLady · 10/07/2024 14:52

Women are most at danger when they leave a relationship. Yet again another day where we have a story of male violence on women.
Utterly horrifying, those poor women.

This. I am sick to death of bloody NAMALT on today of all days. Please, usual suspects, don't come on here telling us how nice your husband and son are. I have those too.

Personally I’m sick of people trying to tell others what they can and can’t post. It’s up to mumsnet admin to decide that not Uber posters leaping on someone else’s tragedy like it’s their own. I’m just as sickened that yet another ex boyfriend appears to have been able to do this but I can still be respectful to others and disagree without resorting to swearing unlike some posters. I’m more pissed off with the courts and police forces that are still failing to take stalking and harassment seriously.

It took place in Bushey, but the perpetrator is from Enfield, so the search is focused around that area. But he could be anywhere.

Theremedy · 10/07/2024 14:54

I’ll be be shocked if he’s found alive.

Rarely do these men face the consequences of their actions.

Just a guess but as they have released a photo and named him etc I would expect that if he was known to be in a vehicle and had the license plate they probably would have released it then?

I think they will live. Unlike many women.

3luckystars · 10/07/2024 14:55

I wouldn’t think badly of anyone saying they are his daughters, as he is well known. It’s like ‘Kate Garroways husband’ when he was in the news.

May they rest in peace. That poor man left behind. What a tragedy, God help them all.

Silly wimmen, it’s not “appropriate” to show animosity towards men that murder other women don’t you know.

@vikina Get. A. Grip.

We are allowed to be angry that yet again an angry ex/partner has unleashed his pathetic rage in a fatal way towards women.

Filletsteak · 10/07/2024 14:55

Please excuse my ignorance but what is NAMALT?

The story is sickening, those poor, poor women.
