Absolutely shocking. A 26 year old man named as Kyle Clifford, believed to be armed with a crossbow, is being sought by police.
The dead women are aged 61, 28 and 25.

Both sexes do sexually assaulting as you well know.

Plenty of female teachers have been locked up for being paedophiles.

Men commit 98% of sexual assaults whilst making up 49% of the population. You cannot claim that women are just as bad.

Kellyanne feels more victimised by hearing women speak online or being senior at work than by multiple murders of women by men.

Oh did I say that?

No I didn't at all.
Some very strange people on here

There certainly are some strange people here...

I can't help but notice the pattern, here and elsewhere, of posters with double female names whose sole purpose seems to be to minimise male violence and magnify female crimes, or unspecified low level female behaviour, as if they were equal or worse.

I was thinking the same.

Thanks for the tip. I've never heard of EMDR and will look it up.

Of course, ideally we wouldn't need these therapies. And of course, men inflict these crimes but we end up paying 💸💸💸 for the therapy to let us face the world again.

Well, that's of course true. EMDR is available on the NHS but you have to know it exists and to push for it, otherwise they'll fob you straight back onto CBT. For various reasons, whilst this might be effective for some people isn't for me and isn't necessarily the best thing for deep-rooted trauma according to my excellent therapist.

It's proven to work. Whilst it can't remove specific memories it does strip the emotion away from them, allowing for an objectivity of vision I never thought possible.

If retraumatised you need retreatment, as the condition can't be entirely 'cured' - your mind will now always process trauma or extreme stress differently from the way other people do. But I think people underestimate how severe and truly terrifying the symptoms can be, and for long years (until another trauma/accident happened!) I never experienced any at all. It's really effective ❤

In your terminology women are not "just as bad" as men as they don't commit as many sexual assaults. Yes men commit more.

However women do commit a lot of sexual assaults.

So your comment that said "guess which gender does the sexual assaulting" was not accurate

Ah yes, a general discussion, on a thread that is about 3 defenceless women being murdered in their own home with a brutal weapon. Concluding that male violence against women is a real problem in this country and globally…

And you think it’s okay to spout the absolute nonsense of “women can be more emotionally cruel”. Like that’s a fucking helpful statement.

Read the room!

Oh you told me!

Guess what. You don't control me or anyone else, total stranger.

Are you even trying any more, Kellyanne?

Kellyanne555 · 11/07/2024 19:48

Destruction and anger are so awful.

It's very sad that he was so terribly destructive, and completely wiped out three lives and destroyed the ones left behind.

Its an extremely sad case.

Disturbia81 · 11/07/2024 19:49

I know someone who always says "women do it too" when I talk about murder, sexual abuse, paedophilia.. it drives me bonkers and I always put her right.
Yes I said "her", it's a woman!

The MRA sure do love picking hyphenated first names for their MN pseudonyms.

Too little too late, Kellyanne.

Subtlety, that's what's missing these days. Well roundedness. Nobody wants to put the effort in any more.

Do you know what a class analysis is?

When group X and group Y do something harmful, but group Y do it 49 times more often than group X, we conclude that group Y has a problem and tackle that before we even think about tackling group X. Assessing group Y as having the problem is a form of class analysis. It doesn't mean that we think group X don't do the harm, we just acknowledge that group Y do it far much more and we need to deal with group Y.

One in 50 really isn't a lot.

I also note that you replaced "sex" with "gender" when quoting me. On FWR, we might find that significant.

Yes I said "her", it's a woman!

But she is factually correct.

Women do it too.

Sounds to me from the diction as though some are only kids. There seems to have been a lot of that about on this site for the past few years.

Calls to mind that old saying about a battle of wits with unarmed opponents, but it does make you wonder about the kind of content they are likely absorbing from the www. As a mother, the thought really does make me go cold. We try to bring our kids up in the best light but we don't do it in a vacuum.

It's these kinds of forces which contribute to the simmering misogyny that leads to tragedies like these. Very worrying.

The interesting thing is that they sound exactly the same as they did in 2005. It's as if there's a particular subset that never evolves.

Come on. You know perfectly well that they do it at a fraction of the rate that men do. Please don't try to pretend it's anywhere near the same.

I agree that men do it more than women.

But if women do it too. If women sexually assault people aswell,

Doesn't that suggest that it is more down to the persons personality, than to their gender?

Disturbia81 · 11/07/2024 20:02

@Kellyanne555 Oh bore off you pedantic twit. You're getting bogged down with unimportant corrections when you should be horrified at what men do.
You are either a man or a troll.

Your very literal interpretation of statements and failure to understand how you've upset people is the kind of thing I do on days when I'm overwhelmed and struggling to mask.

TorturedPoetsDepartmentAnthology · 11/07/2024 20:03

The emotional abuse John Hunt and his other daughter (and their family) have been subject to at the hands of that man is far worse than any work place or social media forum disagreements.
