Absolutely shocking. A 26 year old man named as Kyle Clifford, believed to be armed with a crossbow, is being sought by police.
The dead women are aged 61, 28 and 25.

It depends in what way.

The most physically damaging and brutal gender is male.

I would say that the most cruellest and emotionally damaging gender is female.

I work in a company. I'm in one team with a female boss. The other team had a male boss. The male boss is always so kind amy nice. My female boss is a tyrant, cruel and abusive. Everyone on her team including myself is applying for other jobs as we can't take her abuse

Every female boss I've ever had has been like this. I would have enjoyed so many jobs if it wasn't for the women who worked there

I bet you're not like all those other women, are you?

Seriously, on what planet do women routinely do things that are more emotionally damaging and cruel than, for example, rape?

Hmmm yes, the sexual assault of women and children by men certainly isn’t cruel nor emotionally damaging…having a bully boss is so much worse, you’re right.

Women should be nothing more than placid and meek obviously. Silly us forgetting our place.

Murders and rapes and battery versus a bit of snark and cattiness?

I'll take the snark every time, thanks.

My PTSD was caused by men and boys being violent and molesting me, not by the "mean girls". PTSD is emotional damage at clinically significant and diagnosable levels. It trumps any harm women do.

You know you're on the wrong site to be a pick me?

It's mostly women here.

Maybe try reddit or something, I'm sure they will all tell you they would choose you over the tree or whatever shit they are spouting now, because we can't have anything at all to ourselves.

I'm honestly embarrassed for you.

"ThE MosT EmOtioNalLy DAmagInG GeNder isS FeMalE" listen to yourself, honestly.

Read all that poster's posts on this thread. Emotional intelligence isn't her strong suit.

ExpatAl · 11/07/2024 18:31

What is it with these people? This man who murdered THREE people because he was dumped. The kid who murdered the girl when she got off a bus for jilting him, the guy who murdered tiny Olivia in the doorway because he couldn’t back down. And on and on.

TakeOnFlea · 11/07/2024 18:43

@Kellyanne555 maybe your bosses have just always been extremely frustrated with you because of your complete and utter lack of social awareness and your habit of saying wildly inappropriate things at sensitive moments.

RazzaRazza · 11/07/2024 18:45

While this has descended into “men are awful/mean/brutal” etc, let’s take a moment to realise again that women do not really have any power in the real world (not internet land where we pretend). Men rule, and if men in the western world underwent a social change like the Taliban and decided to kick out feminism, equality etc, there is nothing women will be able to do, who’s going to fight and beat men up in the streets, you? The laws we have in this country are only upheld because men make them, uphold them and certain men (police[men], soldiers) are on standby to enact penalties and violence on lawbreaking [men]. When the rule of law goes in any country, women become fair game, we’ve seen this in conflicts over and over – and then women are left praying for other men to come in and stop the aggressor men.

CharlotteRumpling · 11/07/2024 18:48

Ah put up with being murdered by men in the UK because otherwise you will be murdered by men from other countries, or men influenced by other countries. That's a new step in the pick me dance I did not anticipate!

I am trying not to be rude.

Three women were brutally murdered, suffered and died a ‘not-quick’ death at the hands of an ex partner of one of the young women. This post could not be less appropriate. Please stop. The emotional pain this piece of filth has caused to John Hunt and his remaining daughter is beyond imagination.

Are you actually suggesting that we are not allowed to say anything bad about women.

Wow. That's controlling of you. You don't control me. And you are in fact proving my point.

I stand by my opinion

I said women can be cruel.

And there you go being cruel to me by insulting me and saying I'm not emotionally intelligent.

Thanks for proving my point.

Women are on here saying "women are not cruel" and then viciously attack other women on here.

You show yourself as you are

If you go back and actually read the thread. We had moved on from talking about that murder, into a more general discussion. Threads evolve.

i was replying to a poster who wrote

"It is true that a female does not stop a person from being bad."

Why didn't you attack her out of interest? Why attack just me? You're not being consistent

TorturedPoetsDepartmentAnthology · 11/07/2024 19:07

@Kellyanne555

This really isn’t the thread.

Please bear in mind this happened less than 2 days ago and it impacts upon local people and those who knew the family who are reading this. Have a tiny shred of compassion and consider if this is the right place and time.

Doubling down isn’t helping you.

I didn’t attack you. If you think that was an attack, I don’t know what to say. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️. I have been affected by this incident very much. There are other threads about women being violent or whatever. Just try to have some compassion.

The thread had moved on to gender and talked about gender and violence.

We were having a general discussion.

What on earth has that got to do with not having empathy for the victims.

Youre not making any sense.

I think it best to ignore goady trolls, not talking about anyone in particular, obviously…

I'm so sorry, @MaidOfAle. I have the same condition (cPTSD) and it has the same cause. It's one of the reasons why I find stories like this so affecting, and it devastates me (not too strong a word) when so few people care that yet another woman's life has been taken by a man who thought he had the ultimate right to control her. At least threads like these are ones in which women can unanimously express our rage and helplessness in the face of these situations.

For me it took 18 months' work in EMDR therapy to unpick it all, but it's been a game-changer. It really has changed my life.

I hope you're doing okay.

I don't think that few people care.

A lot of people have been talking about it today.

Kellyanne555 · 11/07/2024 19:21

It's extremely sad that he was so destructive and cruel, when they had their whole lives ahead of them. Not one but three lives gone.

I saw that the boyfriend of the other sister , talked about his love for her today

A general discussion about male violence, not the mean girls in the high school cheer squad, alright?
