I looked for a thread on this but couldn't see one.

I'm absolutely shocked and sickened at this attack on these helpless babies.

I can't imagine what the mother/minder of the baby who was stabbed multiple times in their pushchair is feeling and I so hope the two babies who are critical pull through.

Reading these kinds of stories really affect me. I have a 3.5 yr old and a 18month old and I just want to scoop them up and protect them forever.

I come from a country that has a small but prominent Syrian population. They are all Christian, specifically Catholic. Very devout.

But of course if a Christian is non-white/non-western, they're 'not real Christian's'.

Interestingly in my country they are considered 'white'.

To reiterate, the Syrian catholics in my country have Arab names. Some have more western first names, some have more biblical surnames like ‘Moses’, but they’re Christian.

Some people really have a small world view and it shows.

Why are you all so excited for him to be a Christian. Owning the racist eh that the babies being stabbed are being stabbed in the name of Jesus not allah. Or because for once the major religion killing children is not the usual one.

As I said, let’s see how things look in a couple of days. Whatever his faith, he should not have been in Europe in the first place. The man is obviously a psychopath and checks should have been made to stop him settling. We just don’t know if this is the first time he has killed.

No, I think there have been multiple attacks by people who came from parts of the world where their countries were destroyed in the name of the war or terror and make believe weapons of mass destruction. From a part of the world that has a history of western interference and dictatorships set up by western governments that made their country shit and their lives a living hell.

Yes, he was married to a Swedish national, had a child there and is a nurse. Yet neither Sweden or France wanted to grant citizenship, it does make you wonder why. Those poor babies and their families.
