To paraphrase Mandy Rice Davis - well he would say that, wouldn't he?
He's a member of a supposed elite security detail employed to protect a Prince of the UK who's just been shown to have utterly failed in his role.
He apparently was in the Secret Service and being followed by 6 paps was "the worst thing he's ever dealt with?"
They were in a convoy of 4 blacked out SUVs (presumably with at least 2 protection officers in each - unless they were remote controlled) and their security allowed them to get into a random cab driven by a non pre-screened driver in the busiest city in the world? Incompetence par excellence.
The situation was horribly intrusive and should not be allowed to happen. I'm sure all 3 found the situation highly distressing. The paps behaved appallingly.
My criticism is fully reserved for their security team who behaved shambolicly, unprepared, ill equipped, incompetent and who are now trying to save face. All security should know what to do in these situations - dealing with paps is a bread & butter issue for any celeb.
I understand why they didn't want paps to know where they were staying (but it's where they were filmed staying in the NF show). Phoning ahead and getting the doormen prepared with massive umbrellas to block photos would have been a solution. Not ideal, but at least you'd get home safely. Paps can't trespass on private property like a 5 star hotel. Any 5 star hotel would have allowed them to temporarily wait inside for 1hr, then leave quietly.
No, No one should have to deal with this, but the world is the way the world is right now and paps exist. You employ people to minimise their impact on you. H&M need to employ better people.
