These threads are to discuss the disappearance of Nicola Bulley from St Michael's on Wyre.

No speculation without evidence please.

Here are some frequently asked questions, with answers:

1.Where do Nicola and her husband work?

They both work from home which is why he was at home on the day she went missing.

2.Where was the dog harness found / the phone?

Dog harness was found near the river edge not the bench, phone was on on/near the bench.

  1. Has the river been searched?

Yes by the police and volunteers from the Specialist Search team

  1. Had the dog been in the water, and maybe Ms Bulley went in after her?

Willow appeared distressed but ‘bone dry’, according to the woman who found her. There was no sign of her having gone in the river.

  1. Why would she leave her phone on the bench?

Nicola’s phone was found on the bench, still connected to a conference call. So whatever happened, there was no time to end the call or to alert others on the call.

  1. Why was she on mute with no video for her business meeting?

This was not unusual, She used to go on work meeting calls with video off and microphone

  1. Where was her partner while she was out walking their dog?

He was at home at the time.

  1. What about this abandoned house?

Its not abandoned. Its owned by a lovely family who have lived in the village for generations and would do anything they can to help in the search for Nikki.
It has been searched, inside and outside, from top to bottom by the police. This has been clarified with the family themselves and also with the police.
They have never refused entry to the police or told them they need a warrant to search.

  1. Did Nicola have a dog ball with her?

No she didn’t she used to but stopped taking a dog ball on walks.

  1. Was she swept out to sea?

The police Seargent has said it’s now a possibility Nicola’s body could have drifted out to sea.

  1. We’re CCTV cameras working in the area:

The CCTV camera which would have captured everything unfortunately wasn’t working. But the police are actively working to identify 700 motorists travelling in the Garstang Road area on the 27TH of January.

  1. Are there any other paths she could have gone down?

Apart from the river, there are only three exits, two of which are covered by CCTV. On her way in, she was seen by several people. No one saw her leave.

Yep, my point still stands. This is sensationalism and nothing moreand the media are loving it.

Rempf · 10/02/2023 20:32

So PA is essentially calling out the Police for their apparent inadequacies....

This surely blows the theory that the family have revealed to the Police that NB was in a worrying state of mind....

So why on earth are the Police so convinced?

Surely ANYTHING they had evidence wise would be disclosed to the family?

Yes, it's click bait for online news sites like the Mail and generates advertising revenue. People are living out their detective fantasies online. Vile.

MySugarBabyLove · 10/02/2023 20:37

Surely ANYTHING they had evidence wise would be disclosed to the family? How do we know it hasn’t been?

If the family don’t want to hear what the police have had to say they may have chosen not to hear the evidence that they have been given. And the police are not in a position to say that they have evidence and have shared it with the family, they have however said that the family are being supported, which could mean the same thing.

The police aren't bloody convinced or they wouldn't be asking for dashcam footage and they wouldn't have more detectives on it than on a murder investigation. They're actively searching for a reason to elevate it from a missing person case, while also doing their utmost to do the best they could do if it was 'just' a missing person case.

Thank you for the link. I love his photography @ofwarren It looks such a nice place too.

Crumpetdisappointment · 10/02/2023 20:39

i cant imagine that she was sitting on the bench listening to her team meeting. it was far too cold, and she would have been walking with her dog

It's really pretty in spring/summer
All down that path to the bench is wild garlic with its lovely white flowers.
Even the caravan park looks nice when you walk past because it's a little farm too. There are lots of chicken coops, a few sheep and some pigs.

I can see that it grows there it reminds me of Malton .

melonraspberry · 10/02/2023 20:45

@ofwarren that video has really freaked me out , I think it’s the music on it.

It’s much less isolated looking than I thought. She would never have thought she’d be at risk there . And I can’t see it as a suicide location too, it just looks like it’s well frequented.

TokyoSushi · 10/02/2023 20:45

Just seen a clip of the programme on Channel 5 at 9, it's pretty clear that her partner isn't at all happy with the police operation.

dawngreen · 10/02/2023 20:45

She did have long socks and a warm coat on. @Crumpetdisappointment

Has anyone seen that fucking horrible Madeline McCann/ Nicola meme? What’s wrong with people?? 🤬🤬🤬

Of course he's not. He's as close as he can be to it all, they've not achieved anything yet, and he's been subjected to 'experts' telling him they're doing it all wrong.

It's the main place that everyone in the village walks their dogs.
I've never felt uncomfortable there.

The horses stood looking out over the ferry slipway.
It's a lovely place. You can get on a little ferry over to Fleetwood for a couple of pounds.
My kids love it.

Dashcam footage is the only non river related request I Know of- we've not seen any long line of officers combing local area- which you would think would be a given.

The interview tonight validates this- those closest to the case are urging a re-think

The family have been clear since the start that falling in the river was “just a theory”. PA clearly brought PF in because of that (and because his more powerful equipment would be useful).

Why were police so convinced Claudia Lawrence was a MP or Colin Stagg killed Rachel Nickell? - because people are fallible and make mistakes.

All that you know of, yes.

The police don't give minute-by-minute accounts of their investigations, nor should they.

We don't know what's been searched and what hasn't. We don't know what's going on in the background. We do know that they've not just set the underwater search team on it and left it at that. They're doing more than they probably should be doing considering the lack of evidence of any wrongdoing they've been able to find.

Do you think that with all the scrutiny they know they're under they're not actually doing more than they're required to do?

Rempf · 10/02/2023 21:02

Mirabai · 10/02/2023 20:59

To the extent that they search a river for 14 days flying in the face of expert advice?

That goes way beyond a mistake unless, as already said many times, they know something so indisputable that they are justified in their actions

NeedSomeHelp12 · 10/02/2023 21:08

Did they send up a helicopter when she first went missing, you would have thought that would of been a good way to see if there was she was lying somewhere.
