Re police NOT being on the ball, There were Three young men who were found dead in the same London graveyard a few years back.
Supposedly drug overdosed.
Another found very close outside the murderer’s flat.

One of the victim’s friends did some sleuthing and thought Strange that so many young men died in same area- Raised concerns.

He though that the Met didn’t care, as it was just young “Druggy” lads dying.

When in fact they had been killed.

Met failings probably a factor in death of Stephen Port victims, says inquest
Jury found that serial killer could have been caught earlier if met had not missed opportunities

These young men were murdered by Port using a GHB.

Young gay men I think.

What’s the river like after the weir? Could she have gone in after the weir? Sorry if this has already been asked

Tidal but quite shallow at the moment
It's a possibility though yes

You are free to hide it if you find it too painful 😉

Whilst on one level that’s true, it’s a good job not everyone turns away when they think the wrong thing is being done.

For example, if I was the woman who found the dog, I’d be really grateful for people challenging people who posted, publicly, things like ‘how odd’ ‘has anyone checked this woman out?’ ‘Is she the same person who owns the caravan park?’ ‘has the caravan lake park been checked?’

I leave my keys in the car but live in a rural area. With juggling dogs, kids it's one less thing to think about. I don't think that's unusual.

Blimey I live in a rural area and I’m always delighted to find my catalytic converter still attached when I return to my car, if I left it unlocked and keys around it would be a miracle to find the car still there .

crocusfocus · 09/02/2023 09:18

There are a few things (amongst many) I do not understand. Very puzzling.
I am sure the police are all over it.

1.)If someone abducted her and she was on a teams call then the they are running a huge risk about being identified . I doubt any time to check the victim are muted and camera hidden on a teams call

2.) if in the water surely an air pod, a hat or a small bag would be found , in the water or the bank or as she fell. To tumble without losing an airpod or a hat on the bank doesn't seem likely

3.) the fit bit data - perhaps they police have this and this is why they are convinced poor Nicola was in the water. The fitbit should be able to tell temperature and heart rate etc But then the family would not say there is no evidence?

@Bluebellwood129 @ofwarren thanks
I don’t know if this has already been shared but it seems relevant www.lep.co.uk/news/nicola-bulley-we-know-her-familys-pain-say-preston-family-who-lost-a-son-in-the-same-stretch-of-river-on-the-same-day-45-years-ago-4019028
Very sad.

Leaving keys in a car is plain stupid period.

It still could have been locked, we don't know. It can be opened with your phone for that car.

And just leave the information there uncorrected?
I've reported it to mumnet, the only other thing I can do is inform others that it's bollocks. Leaving no comment on it helps nobody.

I’ve misunderstood. Apologies.

And if she loses her phone she has no transport.

No, nothing has been mentioned about the teams meeting

Yes it has, her manager has confirmed publicly , it was a normal team meeting where she dials in and listens. He has also confirmed the email was routine. I can’t recall subject of team meeting, but it was standard dull routine stuff

Poor lady.

a village local to me had a man go missing taking his car for a service. He took the car to garage, then walked to a near by shop for a coffee and planned to pick car up later. Only he never made it to the shop. It was a 10 minute walk, through housing estates and fields. There was only so many places he could be.

the police searched for ages. We even had large groups of volunteers searching. We had helicopters etc too. Dogs searching.

3 months later he was found in the field, he had a medical emergency and died of natural causes. The field was between the shop and garage. And used frequently by kids and dog Walkers.

a dog walker discovered him.

if doesn’t make sense given the field and housing estate we’re checked multiple times by multiple people. Sniffer dogs etc.

but my point was he was missed by all the searchers. It does happen.

Unfortunately it’s not relevant, technology was very different back then. For example thermal imaging didn’t start till the mid nineties.

Not read all the threads. But has No one considered that her dog, a Springer Spaniel I believe, one of the most intelligent of dogs in UK and a water loving dog would have leapt into the river after her had she gone in? He wasn't tied up at the time she disappeared. Just a thought.

That was my husband's thought. It wouldn't be the first time it has happened. But you'd think they would have found her by now. That said we've had a couple of people go missing near us while out running - one was found within about 3 days but it was months in the case of the other two.

That's horrendous, what happened to the runners?

Does a Fitbit upload data to Strava?

And this is the big issue for apparently strong people. No one really gets it or sees it or even believes it flagged.

She can be strong, appearing strong , super woman, super mum and be suicidal

PF said “We've cleared completely the area where the bench is and about a mile up from the bench, where the phone was initially found”.

So the phone was found a mile from the bench?

Oh come on! You know why.

I had an ex colleague who was 'strong', married, 2 kids, all happy family etc. He went home one lunch time and killed himself.

You don't know what's going on in anyone's head.

Take out the comma after bench.
