Ukraine cannot win.

I am so moved by the Ukrainians opposition to the Russian invaders.
However, without other countries assisting with troops on the ground it is inevitable that Russia will overcome Ukraine.
Europe and the USA cannot do that without starting WW3 and Putin knows that
So how much longer do we encourage Ukraine to hold out?
Should we not be making arrangements to get the president and his government out, let Russia take the country but leave all the sanctions against it in place.
They can have the land. Aid can be given to assist the refugees.
The sanctions will hit Russia hard when they get going. Let Putin then try to run Russia and Ukraine with no hard currency.
EU countries must take the hit and stop buying Russian gas which will slow money transferring in.
In an ideal world Ukraine would hold out long enough to force Russia to withdraw. In this real world thousands of civilians will be slaughtered from now and the end game will be the same

Widely reported by who

You need to show up with proper documentation and no not all countries have reciprocal agreements.
Foreign students can’t expect the same treatment. And people who look and dress different is one way to possibly pick up that their documentation needs checking.
It’s already been mentioned many Ukrainian people have polish entry cards, I presume similar to usa/canada nexus pass.
With some countries having abstained from the UN vote, you can spot Russian affiliates and maybe it’s right that people from those countries be held up, sent to cross out of Ukraine via the Russian border.

This invasion was incredibly poorly planned. The troops are poorly trained and poorly equipped, while their vehicles are knackered. They also chose the worst time of year to invade. "Rasputitsa" is the Russian word for the period during both Spring and Autumn where mud makes unpaved roads and fields difficult to cross. It probably stopped the Mongols conquering Novgorod, and slowed Hitler's tanks and cars such that they didn't make it to Moscow before the winter set in. It creates ideal defensive conditions.

I hope one of his own people poisons him.

Even some Russians are capable of learning from mistakes…(unfortunately in this instance) and I’m pretty sure they know all about the Rasputitsa.

TBF Nazi Germany was only defeated because the USA came to our aid, no one is coming to Ukraine's aid, no matter what the Russians do inc using chemical weapons, we won't help them & the news will move on to another pressing story.

It's astonishing that no one high up realised that this invasion would be Operation Barbarossa in reverse. Or maybe they did realise but were too cowardly to point it out to Putin.
