I felt rather tearful when I saw an Aussie account of the official announcement, as the police officer giving the briefing ended it by saying "Welcome home, Cleo"

Oh that is such good news.
I hope she has been well treated and is able to recover from this.
Imagine being reunited with your child after all that time and worry. How wonderful for her mum. I still remember the relief I felt after losing ds for just half an hour.
I hope they are all okay and well looked after.

I can’t believe this amazing news. Thank goodness. She hasn’t had to go to hospital, so hopefully is ok.

So it’s a local person…. They will no doubt have seen the news etc, how could someone do that. So happy for her and her family. It’s been a long 16 days.

This is unbelievable news! So unusual for such a young child to be found alive, odds were against her. I wonder what the motive was/what she has experienced during this period though.

I never cry at news stories but I cried when my DH told me the news. I cant imagine how her parents must be feeling!
