Its more of a leap to think you know better than the police.

Did your first post getting deleted not make you re-evaluate posting shitty speculation and hints about a family suffering hell right now?

If you really think that it's beyond belief that someone can stalk another person and abduct them then you must live in a bubble.

Itsnotover · 23/10/2021 17:32

@HeartsAndClubs

The most logical answer is usually the correct one.

It’s a bit of a leap to think that a sex offender in the area will have been watching the house and then followed them to the camp sight where they knew exactly where in the tent she would be, and then abducted her from there

It's possible that Cleo knew her abductor and she may have inadvertently told them where she and her family were going.

ItsAllComingBackToMe · 23/10/2021 17:49

There were people there that the family knew al the campsite.

Oh really? I didn’t know this.
GrandmasNightgown · 23/10/2021 18:07

I suppose it's a case of whether

  • it was a planned but random bductiin from the campsite (perpetrator there, with plan, just waiting for the right circumstances to fall in to place)
  • her family had been stalked (hence police activity at their home and some (contradictory) press reports that there had been another recent (unspecified) crime there. But why, if casing the house, wouid you try to move scene of crime to a campsite with limited access and where other family/friends would be present
  • a member of wider family or close friend is the perpetrator, had planned a range of options and was waiting for the moment when one could be carried out.

It's just horrible, and it seems impossible on each of those scenarios. But somehow, it happened

ItsAllComingBackToMe · 23/10/2021 19:19

“ Oh really? I didn’t know this.”

Yes, the police said this quite early on.

WA is 7 hours ahead of UK

A new police appeal has been issued, following a witness sighting on a car

Yes, I'm in Oz...it's been reported someone saw a car leaving the site between 3 and 3.30 but didn't get the make.

But the car headed towards Carnarvon which is a town (where Cleo lives with her parents) and there may be CCTV of it...so that's what I'm hoping...

FortunesFave · 24/10/2021 10:06

Also, WA has a hard border closure...though it's absolutely massive, it means they wouldn't easily leave WA.

Itsnotover · 24/10/2021 10:58

I'm thinking that the police are considering the possibility that a neighbour could have taken Cleo.

GrandmasNightgown · 24/10/2021 11:12

Well, it's been reported that the neighbours have been interviewed, but no word at all on whether that's as potential witnesses to happenings around the house or if they might be in the frame to become suspects

I don't think police have mentioned make/colour of the car. It was before daybreak, and I think I saw a report that said it had its headlights on. So the witnesses might not have got much other than size/type and whether it was light or dark coloured.

I heard it was driving towards Carnarvon...if so, they'll be going through all CCTV at that time. They'll find it.

I hope she is found safe and well. Or at least that her family get answers and aren't left wondering where she is and what happened to her for the rest of their lives.💔

Sadly that seems unlikely after such a long time but I agree about answers. It would be awful to end up as the Australian equivalent of the family who it is better not to name on here.
EmmaMaya · 26/10/2021 19:35

It is so troubling. I really hope they get answers or hope soon. Unthinkable!

SeasonalNamechange · 26/10/2021 19:48

after 7 hours searching the family home today the police have left with evidence bags

MyLifeNow20 · 26/10/2021 20:33

I am still checking in with this several times a day... It's so heartbreaking

WaltzingToWalsingham · 26/10/2021 20:57

Me too. Somehow, Cleo has touched my heart from 12, 000 miles away and I'm constantly thinking of her and hoping that she's alive and being treated well.

Yes I saw that. They were forensic detectives....they took two evidence bags and a big duffel bag. It doesn't look good does it? :(
EmmaMaya · 26/10/2021 21:40

I keep checking in too and find myself thinking of Cleo.

Sadly that doesn't sound positive.

Oh no. This doesn't sound good. Feel for that poor little child. Hopefully some answers are known soon.

Why would it implicate the parents though?

I should have updated that the detectives have returned to the home for the third time today.
