I live in Reading, you can hear the helicopters circling still. Very worried and sad for our town. Forbury is a lovely place to meet and hang out with your family. People are connecting it to a BLM march but that had ended over an hour before it happened.

I looked on Twitter and saw the video. I wish I hadn't. Reading born and back there today. I hope it's not as bad as it seems.

I really hope they catch whoever did this, have a feeling theres more than one.

I'm going to try and avoid seeing that video. I have no idea whether any friends have been hurt or worse. Helicopters still in the air. 😢

Oh no! I grew up in Reading and used to hang out with the goths/metal heads in the Forbury :(

I can just about understand someone filming an incident underway, with intent of giving footage to police to assist investigations

What I cannot understand is why some utter twat films the people giving first aid to victims and then posts it on social media.

If you cannot give practical assistance to injured people, at least you can give them privacy

Yes @AuntieStella completely agree! There was no need for that footage of the first aid.

I usually have a censor on twitter regarding graphic media and for some reason this wasn’t covered so please be careful when scrolling through Twitter.

None of the news websites should be even mentioning black lives matter in the headline, this happened at a park where innocent people were sitting in the sunshine. The Reading organisers of the blw demonstration today have stated that the whole thing had ended way before the knifings started.

One of my favourite parts of town. Oddly I live not far away at all, but havent heard anything all day.
