'How bloody embarrassing Claig. That clip.'

I like them and many other people do too.

'Claig - you have admitted that you admire Farage, Le Pen and Trump'

I like Farage and Trump. I do not admire Le Pen and have not said that.

'You have never said you are not a fascist '

Of course I am not a fascist and I reported you once for saying it and MNHQ deleted it. I don't want to have to keep reporting for that smear so show some coutesy and stop saying it. What kind of Owen Smth supporter are you to use smears like that?

Lweji · 10/08/2016 19:07

Katie Hopkins is English and is also for Trump.

So, you're trying to convince us against Trump, right? Grin

Ailicece · 10/08/2016 19:11

Coming in late, but this NY Times article is worth a read.

"And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin got assassinated."

And further down: “Benjamin Netanyahu, the opposition leader at the time, is shown in now-infamous historical footage addressing a feverish right-wing rally from a balcony in Jerusalem’s Zion Square, as protesters below shouted for the death of Rabin — the ‘traitor’ — and held up photomontage posters of him dressed in an SS uniform.”
Incidentally, Netanyahu is the current PM of Israel.

Of course Trump and his whole camp will hold their hands up in astonishment, should the unthinkable happen (some loner extremist hearing a sinister message in Trump's words). Just like Netanyahu did. Scary, scary stuff.

Roussette · 10/08/2016 19:11

I like them and many other people do too

That says more about you than you can ever imagine. What inspires you about them? What is their attraction? What message do they bring to the party? Intrigued.

Ailicece · 10/08/2016 19:13

I think claig is Katie Hopkins. Please let's not give it more airtime...

Showmethewaytogohome · 10/08/2016 19:14

Whoever I support does not stop me seeing fascism (unless I supported Trump I guess)

You didn't see that as a smear before - strange it is now upsetting you. Let me put it this way if someone supports, actually extols fascists such as Farage, Le Pen, Trump what on earth can they be?

Please explain - am all ears

claig · 10/08/2016 19:14

'What inspires you about them? What is their attraction? What message do they bring to the party? Intrigued.'

The Stump for Trump Sisters are hilariously funny which is why two ordinary people have become internet sensations and have been interviewed on CNN, ABC, Fox and all the other major news networks and have been invited to speak at major Trump rallies. They are brilliant and very funny. If Trump wins, my guess is that their fame will spread and they may even get offered a show because they are hilarious.

claig · 10/08/2016 19:18

'I think claig is Katie Hopkins'

I'm not.

Showme, I already reported you. I thought your smears were beneath contempt and therefore didn't even respond. However, they seem to be the only point you are capable of making so I have asked you to stop spreading the smears as you seem to lack decency.

Trump and Farage are not fascists, and I do not admire Le Pen.

This is thet type of infantile politics that accuses Brexiteers of being racist. As an Owen Smith supporter, I would have thought you were above such lows.

MiriamKarlin · 10/08/2016 19:19

Showmetheway You talk like an old-style Stalinist. Are you a supporter of Stalinism?

Roussette · 10/08/2016 19:20

But the way you talked upthread was as if they were a force to be reckoned with, a reason to be voting Trump, some people who were viable and informed about the political situation in the US. I imagined - from your posts about them - that they were an organisation with a voice to be listened to. As if!

Instead we have two "internet sensations" bellowing "we gonna build dat wall" again and again at a Trump rally. Amateruish and pathetic.

Showmethewaytogohome · 10/08/2016 19:21

Yes you do admire Le Pen - I can find the post if you wish. Happy to supply MN HQ with it. Sad attempt to smear Owen Smith supporters as what? Anti-fascists?

Trump and Farage ARE facists. |See below
fascist

Happy also to discuss the above with MN.

claig · 10/08/2016 19:22

'some people who were viable and informed about the political situation in the US'

They are just two very funny, ordinary voters. I prefer them to the political class. I would rather they were in office than the cronies receiving money from the lobbyists. They vote Trump because they want to end that stuff.

Showmethewaytogohome · 10/08/2016 19:22

Miriam that made me laugh - good attempt. Is this a tag team? Nope sorry about that not Stalinist - are you?

Showmethewaytogohome · 10/08/2016 19:23

Oh and I know black Leavers btw - I have never called Brexiters racist

claig · 10/08/2016 19:24

'Yes you do admire Le Pen - I can find the post if you wish.'

I quoted Le Pen when she said that "Brexit is the biggest political event in Europe since the fall of the Berlin Wall". I think she is right about that.

TwoLeftSocks · 10/08/2016 19:24

Still not sure whether I'm part of The Establishment or not. (I'm not a or journalist if that's part of the criteria)

elgol · 10/08/2016 19:24

Part of me (a very small part) would love to be a fly on the wall if Trump ever gets to be President and tells Mexico to pay for the wall. I'd love to hear his case and their response.

Roussette · 10/08/2016 19:28

Yep claig I agree with you, they are just two ordinary voters. Yet you mention them again and again and hold them up as something to be admired. Two (to me, unfunny) comedians who you say want to end "that stuff". You really haven't a clue.. That and the Katrina woman and you're sold on Trump. Blimey.

claig · 10/08/2016 19:30

'Yet you mention them again and again and hold them up as something to be admired. '

Because I like funny people, they are hilarious which is why they are an internet sensation. I don't admire the political class, I admire funny people.

Roussette · 10/08/2016 19:32

I thought we were on a thread discussing what Trump stands for, not the Comedy club's latest offerings. They are nothing and should have no bearing on whether you think Trump is the most suitable President of the USA.

TheDowagerCuntess · 10/08/2016 19:33

claig - you're on the other thread saying that Trump has a massively high IQ.

And yet here you are saying he's always making stupid gaffes.

So what is it?

Trump and Farage are not fascists

I beg to disagree. Read your history please. Every single one of Trump's arguments echoes Hitler in the early 1930s. Farage is more nuanced, but he deliberately appealed to the same nationalistic instincts. Rather telling that he legged it as soon as he'd achieved his goal, leaving the country to fend for itself in the mess that he was instrumental in creating!

Always remember that
"Fascism arrives as your friend.
It will restore your honour,
make you feel proud,
protect your house,
give you a job,
clean up the neighbourhood,
remind you of how great you once were,
clear out the venal and the corrupt,
remove anything you feel is unlike you..."

That's both Trump and Farage down to a "T", wouldn't you agree?

claig · 10/08/2016 19:34

'claig - you're on the other thread saying that Trump has a massively high IQ.

And yet here you are saying he's always making stupid gaffes.

So what is it?'

Good question. This is a conundrum. Trump says he has " a very high IQ", I don't know, I haven't seen the certificate, but he does make lots of elementary gaffes and has holes in his knowledge, so I can't explain the conundrum.

TheDowagerCuntess · 10/08/2016 19:35

Besides, people don't campaign on the fascist ticket. It's not something you go shouting about!
