'I wasn't thinking about trade so much, more things like the ongoing tricky situation in the Middle East.'

The Middle East is one of the main issues on which Trump will probably win the election when he says what has been really going on there. There are 90 days left and I think Trump is going to reveal a lot of stuff about the real situation there and who profited.

Trump is for sorting Isis out (probably in conjunction with Putin) but is not for interfering anywhere else or toppling dictators etc, so America won't get too involved apart from sorting Isis out.

claig · 10/08/2016 17:28

'So, what's the point of him? Which bits does he mean?'

Trump's key thing is what the world Establishment are so afraod of - America First.

He intends to end globalism, scrap the free trade deals, bring jobs back to America and not involve America in pointless wars, as well as sorting out the crooks who have ripped the American people off.

TwoLeftSocks · 10/08/2016 17:31

Right. Well I'll look forward to that. In the meantime I'll be measuring up the garden for the bunker and stockpiling beans.

'I'll be measuring up the garden for the bunker and stockpiling beans'

There is no need. The war hawk is Hillary, not Trump, which is why many Democrat delegates were shouting "no more wars" at the Democratic Convention. There is no need to shout that to Trump because he was against the Iraq War and the Libya intervention and is even against the current Syria policy.

claig · 10/08/2016 17:38

The left wing Salon Magazine reporting on what the left wing New York Times said about Hillary

"Democrats, this is why you need to fear Hillary Clinton: The NY Times is absolutely right — she’s a bigger hawk than the Republicans

"Clinton is the last true hawk left in the" race, more belligerent than Cruz and Trump, the New York Times says"

If Trump wins, all this stuff is over.

TwoLeftSocks · 10/08/2016 17:44

Ah no, you misunderstand me, it's more for the nuclear fallout. I plan to have a crystal wireless receiver setup so I can listen to him saying 'only joking' from the shelter of 30ft underground. Just for the record, I'd sooner trust the big red button to an elderly incontinent chimp than Trump.

claig · 10/08/2016 17:53

But nuclear war is only likely to happen if there is a world war or war with Russia or China. Who is more likely to bring that about - Trump or war hawk Clinton?

claig · 10/08/2016 17:56

The whole reason the Establishment is so scared of Trump is because they can't control him, same as for Corbyn here. He won't do what the bankers and Wall Street tell him to do. That is why Hillary is Wall Street's candidate of choice.

No one can tell Trump to go to war, he is going to slash the US deficit, rebuild America, bring jobs back to Detroit and put America First.

'How do you know?'

Because that is what he is running on and that is what Jeb Bish and the Republican Establishment opposed him over and that is why he beat them and has such popularity.

Soon he will reveal what is really going on, and then I think he will win despite the media and Establishment being all against him.

Honestly, Trump, by accident, for implying something akin to 'you could always shoot the president if she appointed judges you don't like'.

NotYoda · 10/08/2016 18:03

"He will reveal what is really going on"

What's going on then?

TwoLeftSocks · 10/08/2016 18:03

By the way, how do I know if I'm part of The Establishment?

claig · 10/08/2016 18:06

'What's going on then?'

We will have to wait and see how far Trump is prepared to go. There are 90 days left. I think lots will come out.

he is going to slash the US deficit, rebuild America, bring jobs back to Detroit and put America First.

It's a nice idea. Except he has no idea how.
Anyone can claim the same.

I also like the specificity of Detroit. :)

Lweji · 10/08/2016 18:13

Who is more likely to bring that about - Trump or war hawk Clinton?

Quite frankly, Trump.

Lweji · 10/08/2016 18:16

But the fact that the entire world political class is against Trump makes it look like he is for real and intends to change the cronyism.

or it makes it look like he is a dangerous individual.
Look at who isn't against Trump and you should be worried.

SwedishEdith · 10/08/2016 18:20

Who is more likely to bring that about - Trump or war hawk Clinton?

Trump will make America at war with itself.

BossWitch · 10/08/2016 18:20

I'm confused - Trump isn't going to take America into foreign wars but he is going to sort isis out? How's that going to work then?

claig · 10/08/2016 18:22

'Trump isn't going to take America into foreign wars but he is going to sort isis out?'

Sorting Isis out will take a matter of weeks. It will be over very quickly.
