Let the debate continue.....

OP posts:
WomanWithAltitude · 02/02/2016 13:41

Britt - "many girls were corrupted" Hmm

Since when does being sexual exploited = becoming corrupted?

WomanWithAltitude · 02/02/2016 13:43

Helena - I totally agree. If the girls in Rotherham had been white middle class girls attending private schools they'd have been seen as a priority. As it was, they were from troubled backgrounds, so they were dismissed as being not worth protecting. Classism and misgoyny were the key issues.

BrittEkland · 02/02/2016 13:46

Somali rape case.
Muhyadeen Osman, Bilal Ahmed and Mowled Yussuf, all 20, guilty of rape

Those Somali female relatives should be ashamed of themselves - but, you have to remember they also are of the opinion that the rape victim is (i) valueless, and (ii) knew what she was agreeing to.

The court should never have allowed so many relatives of the accused to be present, especially after they showed their colours on the first day. Somalia is a lawless country, but in the capital this sort of protest would never have been allowed.

Surely, the Prosecution could have asked the judge to restrict the numbers? This is another piece of daftness in Britain that I do not understand. If people in the gallery are intimidating to "the other side" then why allow it?

WomanWithAltitude · 02/02/2016 13:47

Did you miss my post about the female relatives of my white rapist?

They clearly thought the same about me.

BrittEkland · 02/02/2016 13:49

WomenwithAltitude You misunderstood the full meaning of "corrupted."

WomanWithAltitude · 02/02/2016 13:52

No, I didn't. Corrupted means to make something impure, to taint, to debase, to make something/someone go from morally good to morally bad.

Those girls are not debased or tainted and it is pretty misogynist to imply they are. They are victims / survivors.

claig · 02/02/2016 13:54

'Somebody either wants or doesn't mind this inward flow of economic migrants. '

You have to understand the objectives of the globalists and globalisation. The elites want a united one world governance system where national sovereignty is diminished and nation states disappear and the world is governed at the global level by s supranational elite a bit like the UN.

Karl Popper was at the LSE and developed the Open Society philosophy. George Soris was at the LSE and was a pupil of Popper and promotes Open Society and funds lots of NGOs that help that objective. He also funds the Democrats in the United States.

The EU is part of the removal of sovereignty of nation states. Anyone who opposes the EU is termed a "Little Englander" or xenpohobe like Farage or Le Pen or the Hungarian Orban etc because they are in favour of national sobbereignty and control of borders.

The rise of populism in Europe threatens the elite's EU integration project and the people are unhappy with that project to a large extent.

There has been a destabilisation of the Middle East which is leading to a destabilisation of Europe with the elite saying that the answer is "more Europe", "closer integration", new European border force etc. But Orban in Hungary and Poland etc are pulling Europe in a different direction.

The rise of populism and nationalism threatens the Open Society. John McDonnell said on the Andrew Marr Show that it is inevitable that by the end of the century that national borders will no longer exist.

"Inevitably in this century we will have open borders," he said.

"We are seeing it in Europe already.

"The movement of peoples across the globe will mean that borders are almost going to become irrelevant by the end of this century so we should be preparing for that and explaining why people move."

www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/national/14242971.UK_must_act_on_migrants_as_borders_become__irrelevant___argues_John_McDonnell/

This is the socialist one world dream, which is exactly what the super rich globalisation elites also want.

They know it is not popular and that people like Trump will oppose it.

BrittEkland · 02/02/2016 13:56

PETITION. I cannot help thinking that it would have been better to put it on Change.org rather than the govt one. I signed a petition 2 months ago regarding something entirely different, and already it has 97,000 signatures.

I think once you are Change's database, a new petition gets circularised to everyone and therefore reaches more people.

BrittEkland · 02/02/2016 14:06

WomanWithaltitude ..... OMG, now I am a misogynist! A rape is an attempt to debase the woman. With some men that appears to be foremost in their minds. When I worked as a psychologist with abused women, their accounts would confirm this was a strong driver in some men.

BillSykesDog · 02/02/2016 14:09

There was a slight rise dotty, an insignificant one. And this was after a long period of falling figures for non-EU since 2004.

BrittEkland · 02/02/2016 14:10

claig ...... What do you think of my land grab theory (at 12:36:57)? It sparked me thinking along different lines after seeing - on here I think - what some American General is saying.

fourmummy · 02/02/2016 14:20

Ooh, lots going on here (and I've only been to the shop and back!). Have to rush to work but am looking froward to digesting with pleasure (if that's the right terminology).

Britt I agree - there's probably something of what you speak going on - but could also be a red herring.
Claig Popper took his ideas from a variety of perspectives, but he was definitely more left-leaning than anything else. However, we can see how the Left are embroiled in the paradox of tolerance, which he warned against.

Catch up later.

claig · 02/02/2016 14:22

'What do you think of my land grab theory'

That is one theory. I am not sure that that is the reason though. Some elites definitely want to reshape the Middle East and scrap Sykes-Picot and the Sunni caliphate etc iams to detach large chunks of Syria for that reason.

There is clearly a destabilisation agenda going on with Iraq and then Libya and then the failed attempt to sponsor the Free Syrian Army to topple Assad which then led to the birth of Isis, ho were funded, to try and topple him instead. Presumably after the destabilisation comes the redrawing of maps and the end of Sykes-Picot.

But I am beginning to think that there is opposition to this destabilisation within America itself in the form of Trump who has openly said that the world would have been a much safer place if Saddam and Gadaffi were still in power. Trump also backs Putin sorting Isis out. All of this goes against the entire destabilisation policy.

My guess is that different factions have different objectives and that we may see huge changes in Saudi Arabai and Turkey which were not foreseen with the creation of an independent Kurdistan down the line, but I don't know. I think the destabilisation is being opposed by Trump.

'we can see how the Left are embroiled in the paradox of tolerance'

Yes but the parodox of tolerance i.e. "we must be tolerant of intolerance" means different things to different people. What it meanst to Big Brother in Orwell's 1984 is different to what it means to Donald J Trump.

What does it mean to the left wing elite? Does it mean that anyone who questions open borders and the end of national sovereignty is intolerant because as John McDonnell, that socialist brain, believes that it is "inevitable" that we will see the end of national borders by the end of the century.

Why were the reports of what happened in Cologne hushed up for a few days before social media made them appear in the open? Were authorities intolerant of the truth and criticism because it didn't suit their open border Schengen type policies of European integration and according to them the "inevitability" of no national borders?

claig · 02/02/2016 14:35

Sorry that should have been

the parodox of tolerance i.e. "we must not be tolerant of intolerance"

MrWriter · 02/02/2016 14:39

Slightly off topic, but has anyone seen the Militant pro-rape pick up artist Roosh V is trying to come to Glasgow? It seems to be all over my facebook at the moment.

januarybrown1998 · 02/02/2016 14:45

also catching up in a rush, just wanted to highlight this:

Misogyny is not a religion by the way - that's the wool pulled over our eyes. It's men choosing to see women as second class citizens

Beautifully put.

ItsJustaUsername · 02/02/2016 14:46

Yep, and here's the petition if any Scottish mumsnetters want to sign you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/no-to-rooshv-in-scotland?bucket=fbads&source=facebook-share-button&time=1454351100

Totally agree with your posts claig. I can only see things getting much worse in the future in the face of climate change. Lots of interesting articles available online, this one touches on the issue www.independent.co.uk/news/world/refugee-crisis-is-climate-change-affecting-mass-migration-10490434.html.

Moreshabbythanchic · 02/02/2016 14:48

I don't know what it will take to wake women up to the threat we are facing but it seems to me that not many are taking this seriously. After posting a link to the petition on my fb page I had only one like and no one commented on it or said they had signed the petition, and most of my friends are my family!

I know that most women are busy with jobs, families etc but it only takes a couple of minutes to sign. Whenever I talk about things in the news, they all agree with me but I'm sure they think it wont affect them, they just think Mum's off again. The area I live in is very quiet with not many immigrants but the town that has been called the murder capital of Britain is only 30 miles away and our nearest city has a huge immigrant population. I never visit either of them.

Moreshabbythanchic · 02/02/2016 14:54

Sorry, that was meant to say 20 miles away.

BrittEkland · 02/02/2016 15:18

claig .... "You have to understand the objectives of the globalists and globalisation. The elites want a united one world governance system where national sovereignty is diminished and nation states disappear and the world is governed at the global level by s supranational elite a bit like the UN."

Okay, so it's Globalisation/One World Order/New World Order. But if there is overpopulation in, say, Europe and the quality of life decreases, green belt land is used up, surely this would also affect the Rich Bastards and their quality of life. If the roads are choc-a-bloc because of overpopulation, then they are jammed for everyone. Where would the elite govern us from?

Palebluedotty · 02/02/2016 15:20

ONS Nov 15: The net migration figure was a statistically significant increase from 254,000 in YE June 2014 and remains the highest net migration on record. This is a result of a statistically significant increase in immigration (from 574,000 in YE June 2014) and a decrease in emigration (from 320,000 in YE June 2014 (not statistically significant)).
Net migration of EU citizens showed a statistically significant increase to 180,000 (up 42,000 from YE June 2014). Non-EU net migration also had a statistically significant increase, to 201,000 (up 36,000).
The increase in long-term international immigration included a statistically significant increase for EU citizens to 265,000 (up 42,000), and an increase for non-EU citizens to 286,000 (up 17,000) (not statistically significant).

Agreed non-EU figure well down from peak but none of the figures are insignificant in absolute terms.

BillSykesDog · 02/02/2016 15:22

I like the idea of dealing with Roosh V by exposing him to public ridicule.

WomanWithAltitude · 02/02/2016 15:27

Britt - saying that a rape victim has been 'corrupted' is unpleasant and untrue, and you know it. It buys into the old idea of a woman 'losing her virtue' etc. I don't need to hear about your experience of working with rape victims to understand what rape us about, because I am one myself.

Anyway, it is clear that no one on this thread is interested in debate so I'll step out.
