UKIP on 20% and a chicken on the loose in the House. They're desperate!

"Labour has a five-point lead over the Conservatives in the latest Opinium/Observer poll, which shows that half of voters think the prime minister is looking for excuses not to take part in live television debates ahead of the 7 May general election."

www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/jan/17/labour-takes-lead-conservatives-cameron-opinium-poll

Why don't the pollsters ask the question that the public asks themselves - Would an empty chair perform better than Cameron in the TV debates?

The Establishment promoted Russell Brand to try and stop the people and their party - UKIP. Now we hear that Cameron's sixth cousin, Oxbridge graduate, Alastair James Hay Murray, who "is in remainder both to English and Scottish peerage titles, including the barony of Strange and the dukedom of Atholl" and plays the role of "The Pub Landlord" is standing against the People's Politician, Nigel Farage.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Murray

They're desperate. Will they ask Laurel and Hardy to stand aginst the People's Party next? Oh wait, they've already got Cameron and Clegg.

And a commodities trader is not a banker.

claig · 25/01/2015 19:48

But banking is a business.

Lol, explain in one paragraph the report you've just linked to.

claig · 25/01/2015 19:49

'And a commodities trader is not a banker.'

I know that. But Farage wasn't a banker, he worked in business, in the commodity trading business.

'explain in one paragraph the report you've just linked to'

I can do better than that, I can explain it in 3 words
'business of banking'

But it isn't a business that we'd think of when we are considering the UK economy.

He doesn't understand the day to day business that we all have to deal with.

He's been a banker / trader for 20 years, he hasn't been doing the day to day transactions that run businesses in the UK.

But I know you won't want to hear this.

Dawndonnaagain · 25/01/2015 19:54

Oh, and Bermondsey was a bigger swing. And guess what, the Lib dems still didn't win an election.

claig · 25/01/2015 19:57

But a commodity trading business is a big concern. He can't do the accounts, answer the phone, create the marketing strategy and wipe the floor all on his own. Different employees take on different roles in the business. His role in the business was to work as a trader, to specialise in that role in the business. He coudn't run the whole business himself singlehandedly, although I am sure he was up for it if necessary.

You really don't have a clue do you Blush

claig · 25/01/2015 20:03

'You really don't have a clue do you'

No I haven't got a clue what you are on about. He didn't work in academe, he didn't work in government, he didn't work in the civil service, he worked in business.

OP posts:
MuttonCadet · 25/01/2015 20:05

No he didn't work in business, he was a banker.

FSS it's like talking to a UKIP supporter Hmm

claig · 25/01/2015 20:07

'No he didn't work in business, he was a banker.'

He wasn't a banker, he was a metals trader.

A commodities broker and is the worst type of banker.

Read up, you might find out what's going on in your beloved party.

claig · 25/01/2015 20:11

'Read up, you might find out what's going on in your beloved party.'

I know what is going on. The Establishment has got its people in UKIP and they will drop clangers and defect at staged intervals in order to try and stop the people.

MuttonCadet · 25/01/2015 20:17

You are so odd.

Farage has lied to you, by your own admission (but you don't understand what he saidConfused)

You accept that there are lots of members of the party that are wrong, but they are apparently not part of the party (not sure how that works).

Seriously, grow up, we need adults in politics, not fucking children that can't put together a coherent argument. Angry

WetAugust · 25/01/2015 20:39

Ignore it Claig and stop rising to the bait.

Everyone knows that banks are businesses.

Seems that Amjad was deselcted by respect when he tried to be a Councillor for them. Then he joined Ukip, and had now defected to the Tories. Very eclectic political beliefs that man seems to have Grin. I think he may well have been correct whe he said it was "self-inrerest" that led him to defect to the Tories Grin.

Did you watch that amazing car crash interview with Natalie the Green on Sunday Politics? Barking! She'll give us all 72 a week whether we need it or not, let us join Al Quada and ISIS, abolish the monarchy, unliaterally disarm, disband our armed forces and open the country to unlimited immigration.

I wonder if she's kept her Aussie passport in case it all goes tits up!

Watch their poll ratings plummet.

MuttonCadet · 25/01/2015 20:45

Lol, no-one in business thinks that banks are businesses.

You are as thick as each other.

I'm embarrassed for you. Blush

claig · 25/01/2015 20:57

Yes I saw the car crash interview with Natalie Bennett. She looked very uncomfortable and started talking at ten to the dozen at times. I don't think it will affect their polling because most people won't have seen it and lots of people think the Greens are just nice cuddly types. They don't understand the real worldwide green agenda as promoted by the super elites, the Club of Rome and the billionaires like Al Gore etc.

But the better the Greens do, the better for democracy since it will crash the two party system and lead to PR voting and a whole new politics where the voice of the people will be heard. Of course, the real beneficiary will eventually be UKIP as the Oxbridge Establishment clique lose their influence and the people are properly represented.

'You are as thick as each other.'

But at least we are not rude.

OP posts:
Dawndonnaagain · 25/01/2015 21:02

The people will never be properly represented by ukip. Farage is not some sort of Cromwellian type hero.
Claig you are living a fantasy and as I've said before, it worries me.

MuttonCadet · 25/01/2015 21:05

I'm rude out of choice......

claig · 25/01/2015 21:08

'The people will never be properly represented by ukip. Farage is not some sort of Cromwellian type hero. '

I don't think Farage will stick around. He will be gone. But be under no illusion, UKIP is a revolution because they will implement direct democracy. local referenda and PR voting. Then the people will be properly represented and their voice will be listened to. The Establishment will not be able to feed us GM food and won't be able to force through fracking.

Listening to Jim Murphy today, he said he will give communities local referenda over fracking in Scotland. labour are weak in Scotland and that is why they have to now offer people real democracy. That is good for the people. Once the two party system is busted, then people will gain real democracy and UKIP is the party that will bring the walls tumbling down just as Joshua did in Jericho.

OP posts:
Dawndonnaagain · 25/01/2015 22:04

I'm so sorry claig, I am very, very experienced in the world of politics, to the extent that I even know a considerable amount concerning the representation of the people act. Not relevant here, just pointing out that I am experienced enough to know and comprehend some of the workings.
Anyway, point being, I am under no illusions but have serious concerns about yours. I do wonder what you are going to do if ukip don't get any seats this time, or if they somehow gain only one or two.

claig · 25/01/2015 22:11

'I do wonder what you are going to do if ukip don't get any seats this time, or if they somehow gain only one or two.'

I won't do anything. I will be disappointed but I am patient. I believe in the people. I think the people will eventually win and get real change and a real democracy. The Greens will help and even though I am against most of what they believe in, I hope they do well so that our political system becomes more democratic quicker.
