I can't help but feel sorry for her but if I am honest, I also think "well you should have expected it". He has a talent for moving on to someone younger/richer etc....what a cad!

I feel sorry for Bovey's dds. They were clearly very keen on AT and apparently convinced her to give him another chance.

I once met AT at Legoland, during an event for Downs Syndrome UK. She gave a load of her time free gratis, and I don't think there was any publicity about it outside of the DSUK community. I've always remembered that about her and liked her for it.

That was before flakegate.

I believe she had a sister who possibly had Downs, or something similar, but who died. I would imagine that helping such charities is particularly close to her heart.

I'm not her biggest fan, and he looks an absolute arse, but I did feel for her when I read that she'd been trying her hardest in recent months to be the perfect wife for him.

Well, to be fair, Peter Powell might also have been an arse to live with. But I agree, he seemed to conduct himself with dignity and refrain from slagging her off in public.
