From the BBC, Dobson and Norris both found guilty of murder.

Brilliant news IMO. The verdict deserved, 18 years, a long time coming for the Lawrence family.

DontCallMeFrothyDragon · 03/01/2012 14:53

18 years late. RIP Stephen. So glad justice has finally been served.

Sevenfold · 03/01/2012 14:53

oh good, hope they don't appeal and get off.

pinkteddy · 03/01/2012 14:53

Didn't think they would get that result. Brilliant news. Justice at last for Stephen's family.

crazynanna · 03/01/2012 14:55

SquashedSquirrel · 03/01/2012 14:59

Bloody brilliant - at flaming last. How fantastic. Justice for Stephen and his family.

pixierara · 03/01/2012 14:59

Justice at last. Shame it took 18 years to reach though. I hope Stephen's family take some comfort from the verdict and that their battle for justice wasn't in vain.

MillontheFloss · 03/01/2012 14:59

YES!! Justice for the dear boy at last. Your mum and dad never stopped fighting for you.

BerryLellow · 03/01/2012 15:00

About time, RIP Stephen.

crazynanna · 03/01/2012 15:00

Racist bastards

grumpypants · 03/01/2012 15:02

Phew. Am sure that is the right outcome.

IndianOcean · 03/01/2012 15:02

At last. It doesn't sound as if the jury took long, does it?
RIP Stephen. Still no peace for his parents, I fear. Sad

nicknamenotinuse · 03/01/2012 15:02

Fantastic beginning to the new year!
My thoughts with Neville and Doreen.
Justice for Stephen ... at last!

MildlyNarkyPuffin · 03/01/2012 15:04

This is the case that justifies the abolition of double jeapardy.

Artyjools · 03/01/2012 15:05

Actually shouted out loud when I heard it on the radio. TBH I hadn't dared to think it to go that way. I too hope it stands up on appeal.

Artyjools · 03/01/2012 15:06

Just to add that I hope there isn't an appeal, but I think that there will be.

mollymole · 03/01/2012 15:06

I am so VERY pleased with this result - my thoughts are with the Lawrence family.

LOCK THE EVIL BASTARDS UP FOR EVER AND THROW AWAY THE KEY

I'm surprised - the evidence in the trial seemed weak. Fingers crossed the appeal fails. Wish we could get the others who did it too.

limitedperiodonly · 03/01/2012 15:15

I'm so pleased and sad at the same time.

Why would there be an appeal?

bemybebe · 03/01/2012 15:16

franke why would you wish for the appeal to fail if you think the evidence is weak Confused
i think there was plenty of good evidence to convict these two
