Just seen that the Supreme Court have ruled that she cannot return to the UK, her Appeal has been unsuccessful.

@toocold54

I think that was a typo
That won’t stop random we from ranting deliriously in support of feather bedding Daesh or the Nazis or whoever else is indefensible.

S/he has made up a whole complicated fictional narrative about Begum being a “captive” whose television interview with British/Weatern journalists was conducted under torture or with a gun to her head, and various other inventions.

Lelophants · 26/02/2021 18:10

What on earth is going to happen to her?

NeedCoffeeToSurvive · 26/02/2021 18:14

Personally I'm thrilled, she left the UK to join a terrorist organisation which she clearly agreed with the idiology and views of, how is anyone but her to know that she sincerely regrets her decision and that her apology is real. I wouldn't trust her at all and I do believe she still holds terrorist views. She should never be allowed back into the UK. These are the consequences of her actions.

RickiTarr · 26/02/2021 18:14

Eventually she’ll be allowed back or land somewhere humane.

Meanwhile, hopefully, she’ll become the poster child for NOT deciding to be “radicalised” and fly off to participate in mass murder. Ditto Mr Letts.

Every potential terrorist they deter is an absolute good.

SendMeYourSpuds · 26/02/2021 18:17

She's only lost the battle, not the war, she may still get her UK citizenship back at some point. Not sure why the haters are celebrating, this is a set back not the final word. She likely will live long enough to exit the camp where she can't launch her appeal.

"Lord Reed said the appropriate answer was not to force the government to bring Ms Begum back to the UK - but to pause her legal fight over citizenship until she is in a safer position to take part in her appeal."

StarlightandSunlight · 26/02/2021 18:18

@Rosie2111 that's not her father though?

LindaJoh · 26/02/2021 18:18

@ChancesWhatChances

Do I get a gold star for saying Britain and British so many times?
Two gold stars Smile
ChancesWhatChances · 26/02/2021 18:18

@RickiTarr thanks Grin you’re right about it being evil this case being used to inflame racial tensions. People arguing for her return are actively harming people the same race as her too and no one seems to understand that. Every time she’s in the news there’s more hate and abuse aimed at Muslim communities (and Asian people in general, but Mosques and those using them are usually specifically targeted). I’d really hate to see what they’d go through if she were allowed to return

LindaJoh · 26/02/2021 18:19

@Lelophants

What on earth is going to happen to her?
Who cares
MrsBotibolsCruise · 26/02/2021 18:21

Personally I think she is far more dangerous stateless and left to her own devices. Make an example of her yes, but as it stands she is still out there able to be tracked down and re-recruited by IS. It would be quite a coup for them to have her back on side.

And when the shit hits the fan again (it will) it would be far better for us to have shown Syria and other affected countries some courtesy in dealing with our own. We will need their cooperation.

“Haters”?

You cheeky piece. My position is informed being part Jewish and we Jews are a bit humourless about industrialised mass murder and death cults due to an incident in Germany in the 1940s that I doubt someone like you has bothered to acquaint yourself with.

What’s your excuse for being an apologist for Daesh scum?

Bbq1 · 26/02/2021 18:24

@cuddlymunchkin

I think it's a good result.
Definitely is. She is, a threat to National Security. She made her choice.
toocold54 · 26/02/2021 18:25

Why do people think she is more of a risk to the UK if she was imprisoned here? I would have thought it was the opposite.

👏🏼 👏🏼 Absolutely.

It is so important we start inhibiting (all) terrorism and try to repair and nurture race relations instead of screaming racism every time a terrorist finds themselves facing natural consequences.

Europe can’t cope with all of the European Daesh supporters flooding in back in at once, we need to delay and deter and stagger as we can and get strategies in place (much of which will be MI5 and behind the scenes).

Eviethyme · 26/02/2021 18:26

She literally said she was only coming back for the safety of her child and for the money let's face it.

It was the right decision

Hopefully, she will get the same treatment as her two mates who defected to IS with her and were killed in coalition air strikes.

'Haters' really? Lmao.

What are you then, a fan?

Numicon · 26/02/2021 18:31

Nice how Shamima is now stomping about her refugee camp with her hair uncovered. When she was part of the ISIS morality police, did she let women walk about uncovered?? Or did she arrange for them to be viciously punished???

This is the camp she’s too scared to speak honestly in because she’s being tortured in it and held at gun point according to some on this thread? Must be a new kind of torture.

Totally agree with this. Bangladesh have also said that she does not have citizenship, never applied and would not be granted it. This means that the government is making her stateless unlike Jack Letts

randomer · 26/02/2021 18:45

So,every single image you see and every single thing you read is the truth? Critical thinking and nuance are out of the window.
How can somebody stomp in a still photograph?
Where are the remains of the 4 babies?
Was there ever even one baby?
Why is this young woman such a figurehead, when hundreds or thousands of Daesh supporters are probably running your local nail bars?

Bedforme · 26/02/2021 18:46

I tried to quote a previous post stating that she is Britain’s problem.
