Updated list

Jobs to do today

  • Put down ant spray in kitchen after a 10 o'clock visit to supermarket last night Done
  • Look up about food testing. Really enjoyed the nutritional talk last night and he made alot of sense but he also gave us a questionnaire about gluton intolerance if you think you may be and if you ticked over 9 then it was likely you were intolerant - I ticked 17 . So i'm going to look into getting tested as its previously been mentioned that I may have intolerances Done - Emailed a company for information
  • DD to nursery Done
  • Me to school Done
  • Hoover the stairs Done
  • Complete my enrolement forms for my PGCE
  • Start the reading for the assignment due in at end of week. I think i'm about 2 weeks behind
  • Meeting tonight. DH is out late with work so need to take DD with me Done
  • Make birthday card for DD's friends birthday at the weekend Agreed to do this on Thursday morning with DD
  • Take back library books - Argggghhh forgot these

DH rang and felt he was too tired for the drive home from meeting tonight so had a night on my own. He was only up an hour early so don't know why he would be. I think he just fancied a night with the lads who are down there on a training course. DD been upset cos she is under the weather anyway with a cold and she was "really missing Daddy" He really needs to make an effort to spend some time with her.

Right need to do leg exercises before bed then off to read in bed. (Not allowed to do that usually as DH likes lights out straight away)

Back tomorrow

swanriver · 09/03/2010 22:17

MC the occasional night by myself can be v.restful I find.
Anyway dcs are expert at tuggng of the old heartstrings. Better for him to be rested than driving v. late.

My Dh is away till Friday night now, off to Italy to a trade fair.

swanriver · 09/03/2010 22:19

Star Scatty has the gymnastic dcs not me! I think her dcs are in year 2 and reception.
Hope littlebear better tomorrow - you did well to take a conservative view.

grouchyoscar · 09/03/2010 22:25

Hello ALL I'm still around and will catch up soon. Love to all

Makingchanges · 09/03/2010 23:30

Swan - Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed it. PC and TV to myself all night been great. But it wouldn't have been late. I would rather he stay if he is too tired to drive, I just get the feeling that he wanted to stay with the lads but didn't think I'd like that.

Whilst i've been idly wasting my time on the PC tonight I looked up colour analysing. Quite fancy finding out what colours suit me cos I'mn gonna need some new clothes for when I start my teacher training. May need to talk nicely to DH

scattyspice · 10/03/2010 08:03

Morning . I like this new weekly thread, I can have week long to do lists rather than daily (and put everything off until Friday LOL).

MC I tried to work out my colours via a website. Found it very confusing. I have been stuck in a rut of shades of grey and blue for several years now. .

star DS does gymnastics he is 6 (yr 2) DD stopped as she didn't like jumping off things . She is nearly 5 (reception). But she is going to try cheerleading on Thurs .

Hi Grouchy.

To do:
sort out holiday club dates for Easter
Tel Mum
DS to Beavers
Buy jam etc
banking

BBL

EVye · 10/03/2010 08:03

Morning all. Busy day today.

ruby - biscuits good

swanriver · 10/03/2010 08:22

Scatty I do hope you have not been letting her watch GLEE

uniformed, breakfasted, music practiced dcs are sitting politely in front of telly (treat) Dh has gone at 7.30. Most disturbed night ended with both dts in our bed, and I kept waking thinking "I'm charge I must get up" (only to find it was still 6.00am, 6.30am etc etc)

Just need to do about ten last minute things but am doing well for a school morning

Starbear · 10/03/2010 08:35

Morning All Sorry Swan & Scatty for the mix up must have been the lack of sleep.
Scatty DH likes Little bear to do gymnastics but not sure about after school. As a PE teacher I think he wants to keep an eye on his progress and coach him a little He does suffer from pushy-dad syndrome. Thank god I'm lazy, makes it a more balance upbringing What time does your little one get to bed after gynmastics?
MC Yep! They do pull at heartstrings LB wanted to see Dad yesterday but he went to football. I don't think my DH really plays with little bear I think its all training!!! or am I being too harsh.
Little bear still asleep which is very odd.
Going to make another cuppa. Feeling very guilty about not being at work today!!!
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all

I tend to get swan and Star mixed up. I don't know why but when I read the thread I always think its the other person when I reply.

Well DD woke up this morning with a runny bum and very whingy and whiney so its taken ages to get her to GPs. She wanted to stay home with me which although I could cancel School, I can't cancel my sign class so i've packaged her off and she was fine when she got there. I think its because I found she had been pinching my fig rolls.

I've just finised off a small bacon sandwich, grilled so I am allowed and now I must get on with my list for today

To do

DD to GPs - Done
Fill in paperwork for PCGE
Sort out pile of paperwork on end of settee
Write letter to local schools asking for a weeks experience in May/June time (pre-requistite of course)
Find a list of headteachers of local schools to sent letters to.
Washing (been really slack on this so far this week)
Me to school this afternoon
Sign language
Sort through pile of TES - I subscribe but don't get chance to read so they pile up then I spend hours reading and cutting out important articles
Buy wrapping paper for DD's friends present

That will do for now. Hope everyone has a nice day, back this afternoon

grouchyoscar · 10/03/2010 11:04

Hello FLYchums

I've been distracted for a while and I have missed a lot. Could anyone fill me in please? Do we only do one thread a week now?

Hope all is well, peaceful and calm with you and yours. The Grouchy clan are battling on and keeping OK. House is clean but well lived in.

Love and peace to all forever Lx

Grouchy One thread a week has started this week. Jas thought it would be better cos we weren't using the daily ones as much as we used to. Seems to be going well actually

Updated list (I'm trying to stay on top of things today so giving myself regular reminders)

scattyspice · 10/03/2010 12:56

I'm sneaking on at work (shh).

star he now does gymnastics from 4.30-6.30, we have tea when he gets home then he watches TV for a bit and bedtime at 8pm. The gymnastics doesn't seem to disrupt bedtime (Beavers on the other hand does ).

swan I have been trying to watch Glee, but it is absolutely not dh's thing so not much chance . DD does watctch HSM quite alot though .

MC LOL fig rolls!

Simply · 10/03/2010 22:11

Hello again everyone. Sorry to be so irregular with my postings. I think a weekly thread instead of a daily one will help me to keep up with folks more easily.

Done today:-
~ Finally put Christmas decs from spare bedroom into the attic
~ Wrote out a number of ads to go in the local paper

I've had a bad cold since last week but I now seem to be getting better. I was in bed by 7.45pm last night and slept most of the night (except for coughing) until 6.15am. Result! I heard ds come in about 10pm. Having teenagers is handy sometimes as you can get them to lock up and see to the pets when you go to bed early. See you tomorrow!

Starbear · 10/03/2010 22:11

Scatty That quite long training 4.30pm til 6.30pm but it would work here as well. I would love Little bear to be in Beavers but very long waiting list over here. Strangley I don't think DH approves of Beavers!!!!
RR Miss marple tell me more
Little bear is now in rude health, bar the dripping nose. So off to school tomorrow
I think maybe a weekly list would be good for me too. It would also be good if I did some of the missions
I'm going to pack my gym bag today for Friday!! I need to get to that gym first thing. No list today but we have started making our own kids calender for LB to learn from. See you Friday folks

scattyspice · 11/03/2010 07:43

Morning .

star dh didn't approve of beavers either (thought it would be stuffy and over religious), but its quite relaxed, mainly just playing games, DS loves it.

simply well done on getting Xmas decs in the loft .

Ruby Miss Marple! .

To do:
Buy jam etc
banking
laundry
dd to cheerleaders.

swanriver · 11/03/2010 09:00

star there is certain amount of standing to attention, but mostly running riot! And craft activities. And they get badges for different skills - like friendship, or just joining

This afternoon is de-clutter as Dh away, and I'm been shamed into it by seeing the interior of the house next door

Simply I think I still have some Xmas cards knocking around too for reuse of course, just never quite got them into the right box in loft.

dylsmum1998 · 11/03/2010 10:37

Jas · 11/03/2010 11:04

Morning

I got an unexpected day out yesterday, as my friend was going and offered to take me to the town for shopping. With no car, I have to take any chance of a lift, so it was good to have a look around.

Today I am supposed to be back to the housework. My morning jobs are done again, but I need to book a train ticket for the weekend, and spend some time re planning my FLY routines as they are very out of date and things have changed....

Glad everyone is happy with the weekly thread. It seems to be working well, and is much easier for me to catch up when I miss a day or two.
