bedrooms hoovered
long tale of secondary school admission from another mother - absolutely gripping - like the best soap opera - culminating with priest denouncing the admissions policy of sought after school
also found out that I will have rewrite half the invites as dd is at a outward bound weekend the WEEKEND of her birthday party (the original date had been changed
so we can go to Nanny Mcphee after all, but that means changing all the invites which have Princess and Frog plastered all over them [sigh]
Given out ds2's invites.

don't envy you Ruby, where did you put the bed

MC glad your knee is a bit better.

The dcs are reading comics, dd is wandering around like some pathetic orphan saying I'm hungry I'm hungry despite numerous snacks. So I suppose I better go and make some pancakes....

scattyspice · 08/03/2010 17:30

Morning

Welcome back scatty

I am feeling smug,as I got all my morning routine done before the school run
I'm hoping to keep the momentum going and get more done this morning and relax in the afternoon...

EVye · 09/03/2010 10:33

Hi All, dont want to out myself on here but those who are linked to me on FB. I have sent you a link and I'd be grateful if you could have a look/play and send me a message with any feedback. Thanks

Makingchanges · 09/03/2010 10:37

Morning All

Wow Jas that is organised! - I'm lucky if I get my routine done before bedtime.

EVye and Star hope littlies are better soon. Hello to others.

Jobs to do today

  • Put down ant spray in kitchen after a 10 o'clock visit to supermarket last night
  • Look up about food testing. Really enjoyed the nutritional talk last night and he made alot of sense but he also gave us a questionnaire about gluton intolerance if you think you may be and if you ticked over 9 then it was likely you were intolerant - I ticked 17 . So i'm going to look into getting tested as its previously been mentioned that I may have intolerances
  • DD to nursery
  • Me to school
  • Hoover the stairs
  • Complete my enrolement forms for my PGCE
  • Start the reading for the assignment due in at end of week. I think i'm about 2 weeks behind
  • Meeting tonight. DH is out late with work so need to take DD with me
  • Make birthday card for DD's friends birthday at the weekend
  • Take back library books
wendyhappysmile · 09/03/2010 10:40

Morning
To do list today
Take DD and her friend to Gym Joey

swanriver · 09/03/2010 11:57

Scatty - we've missed you - wondered if you had mastered Flying completely and given up the thread...
hope your chest infection has cleared - that must have been v exhausting
the children's lives are now taking mine over completely - not sure if I like it. Maybe I do.

Today I've taken dd's class (with teachers too tg to Pizza Express Workshop thingy and made Pizzas. And eaten them.

Now I have to take ds back in exactly same direction to physio

Trying to fit something useful else in between.

Star if he can't be off in Reception when can he be off? as long as it isn't too difficult workwise for you.

Starbear · 09/03/2010 13:42

Hi all.

Thanks for missing me. It's amazing how quickly chaos descends when you stop flying . A weekly thread is a good idea.

star poor Ds seems you were right then (good instincts).

To do:
DS to gymnastics
change bedding
re boot laundry
sort out holiday club dates for Easter

wendyhappysmile · 09/03/2010 16:12

Hi scatty lovely to see you
swan LOL at your hective (non) social life! I know what you mean and I've only got 2!
Malt loaf new recipe was a flop - it was from MN so I'll have to post feedback! Otherwise list is complete - hurrah!
Chilli for tea, DD and DS weren't keen last time (very mild for them) but am persevering!
Did most of my planning earlier for my lessons for my new temporary job - I am really giddy about it! We'll see how it goes and if I enjoy it perhaps I'll have to stop being a SAHM!
jas I got up early yesterday and felt better all day for it, getting stuff done when I would normally have been languishing in bed!
Better go, just sent DS to have a quiet moment because he just hit his sister then screamed at me!

swanriver · 09/03/2010 16:41

mine like spicy sauce on everything

Wendy malt loaf recipe in my book is eggless, 3oz of extract to 8oz wholemeal,1/4 of milk, and other things of course like sugar and butter and sultanas and baking powder. Does it sound similar?
Malt loaf is strange stuff.

Enjoy the lessons!

Ruby, Tea can be found on her blog. Just look at your "favourites" (whenever you last logged on to her blog), she will be there under the old familiar name, you know the one I mean.

EVye · 09/03/2010 17:52

Hi Ruby

How many kids and what age?

With DD we did crown decorating with stick on jewels (no mess). Pin the kiss on sleeping beauty, Musical Statues (with classical music like a ball).

Also, you can 'fanfare' each guest as they arrive and lay out a red carpet.

TeaMonster has been Twitter but she's sorting lots of stuff out for her mum at the moment so has lots on.

EVye · 09/03/2010 17:55

Also these for 3-5yrs or these for 7-10 years or more 7-10 years instead of party bags

wendyhappysmile · 09/03/2010 20:02

thanks swan The silly thing is I have a malt loaf recipe that always works, this was a new recipe using all bran but it just didn't work!
Hi Ruby and EVye Those party ideas sound really cool.
See you all tomorrow

Starbear · 09/03/2010 20:10

Evening all
Yes scatty he is hasn't been himself all day & now has a dodgy bottom! I think he'll need a short walk tomorrow to get some fresh air. Maybe 20mins in the morning & 20 mins around 5pm. Being indoors all day doesn't seem health to me! But he is a cheerful chap & a sleep now!
swan How hold is your ds that goes to gymnastics?
Wendy & Jas I should take a leaf out of your books. I allow the housework to drag over the whole day! I think its because I'm suffer from internet addiction

Put old papers away done
Brushed floor of dining room done
pumpkin soup of lunch done
