November Slatterns/Listmakers - one year on and still taking baby steps.........

1000 replies

alwayslookingforanswers · 31/10/2009 23:39

Yes - Slatterns (now Slatterns and Listmakers) is now a year old.

Come and join us if you're a slattern, or simply like making lists for jobs you want to get done each day/week/month.

Never thought 12 months ago that a thread I started to help me get the bare minimum done at home when I was feeling shite would still be going strong 12 months later - even with me frequently AWOL in recent months.

Everyone is welcome, we're a friendly bunch.

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe40nappies · 03/11/2009 09:29

JKS - I do my towels etc on the same day as the bedding. Just been on another thread and one skanky person didn't change her bedding for 6 months!

ALFA - things you have already done are the best thing to add to a list . Makes me feel very efficient!

well I haven't made it to coffee cup - but I suppose I ought to try and get dressed before my Ocado delivery arrives........it's one thing answering the door to the Asda or Tesco delivery man in your dressing gown and PJ's - another thing totally when it's Ocado

OP posts:
Buda · 03/11/2009 09:48

Sounds sore SparklyAlice. You have my sympathy - I just took the dog for a walk and fell over! Went down on hands and knees on a part of the road covered in lose stones. Lost my footing. Have stingy hands and a sore knee.

HMHB - hope you get it all sorted. Any idea how it happened?

always very of any supermarket delivery but esp Ocado!

alwayslookingforanswers · 03/11/2009 09:56

oh balls - turned up 10 minutes early so I didn't get a chance to get dressed.

Buda - online shopping necessitated by the fact that I can't do a big weekly shop with the DS's in tow (as we don't have a car so I would usually get a taxi back and can't do that with the kids). Ocado - because I got a code for 15% off an order for delivery today or tomorrow (and I was due to do a shop anyhow).

upahill · 03/11/2009 09:59

OK Here is my list for this week/month whenever!!!

Get the new carpet fitted into bedroom at the weekend.

The cd pile that I moved from the dining room into the hall to be downloaded needs to be moved on. The downloading is complete now I need a new place out of sight for the CD. Really it should be the charity shop but will probably be the attic for 2 years before the charity shop.

The pile of papers labelled 'not sure what to do withe these' that has grown on the table needs some hard hearted sosrting.

I'm going to get rid of the small little wall cupboards in my hall as they are just crap collectors.

Morning - oh its afternoon already
Hope everyone is ok. I am running with bare min mental capacity today so please bear with me. I have read the thread but can't remember what happened...am going a bit mad.

I got approximately 2 hours sleep last night due to trumping baby. She prefers farting to burping.

Sounds like someone swiped our card and got a copy of the back of the card.

It is a bit suspicious as new cards (as the old ones were out of date) were sent only last week.

It could have been a dodgy person at the chinese takeaway we used on Friday as all the purchases made on Saturday/Sunday? Frustrating as you never really know where the fraud came from so can't do much about it.

The fraudsters used our cards to make loads of online purchases until there was no money left! We will get it back though. Apparently its the shops that have to pay it back to the bank because they should be secure enough to stop this happening.

We're going to have to use cheques / our own accounts for a bit. Its going to take so long to get the cards due to the postal strikes.

Today's List
DS up and dressed done
Feed DD done
Breakfast done
DS to nursery DH done

Alice (and Buda!) - thanks for making me smile. Hope the bruising is not too bad .

JKS - if AF has arrived that means its time for a bit of vino this evening to help with pain/stress relief!
Am feeling angry at filofax pen for you - if they only knew how much hassle that pen was to get in the first place .

Always - impeccable timing by delivery man. They must do it on purpose. I have to remind myself to put boob away if feeding DD when someone turns up. Otherwise could be quite embarrassing . They've probably seen it all before though!

Right am going to trough a massive bowl of pasta and see if I feel a bit more with it.

Buda · 03/11/2009 12:26

HMHB You sound very calm about it all, but then we are very unorganised and if someone swiped all our money in our joint account, we would have no money, well dhs business account but that is obviously for business
