November Slatterns/Listmakers - one year on and still taking baby steps.........

1000 replies

alwayslookingforanswers · 31/10/2009 23:39

Yes - Slatterns (now Slatterns and Listmakers) is now a year old.

Come and join us if you're a slattern, or simply like making lists for jobs you want to get done each day/week/month.

Never thought 12 months ago that a thread I started to help me get the bare minimum done at home when I was feeling shite would still be going strong 12 months later - even with me frequently AWOL in recent months.

Everyone is welcome, we're a friendly bunch.

Hello! It was good Dad coming for a flying visit, but I developed the lovely stomach bug that DS had on Tuesday.
I spent most of yesterday on the sofa, and Dad came and helped out before he had to go for his train and then MIL helped with DS tea, and I managed to wait for DH to get back at 8pm before starting bedtime. Still feel knackered today though. May join you in the Spatone ladies.

Lol at washing still in the machine. I've just re-washed a load I put in on Thursday.

I shall be back with listage later.

JustKeepSparkling · 28/11/2009 18:27

Wasting - are you recovered now?

CC - wow you are steaming through that list!!!

claireybepositive · 28/11/2009 18:56

PBM yes, ds drew on my cream chair which is a simlar fabric to car seats. Vanish spray (the one for clothes) and a damp cloth. Looks like it's not doing anything for ages then suddenly it's gone. Can't get that or the red felt tip off the dining table though

Good news about the Panto!

Alice hampers sound great, a lot for you to do though!

How you feeling WME?

Did the understairs cupboard today, actually wasn't as bad as I was expecting, the massive sort I did after joining slatterns seems to have kept it a bit more under control

Also did the sideboard and filing cabinet so all areas of doom have now been sorted and packed [phew]

Still to do:
Kitchen stuff
Bathroom stuff
Clothes
Toys
Defrost freezer
Apply for benefits (form is filled in but can't actually apply til Tues)

Still to buy:
Washing up bowl & liquid
Loo brush
Toaster
Bed (this will have to wait til benefits come through, have blow up one for now)

and RETURN LIBRARY BOOKS ON MON! (shout at me about this please)

wastingaway · 28/11/2009 19:32

I've just done a list with what is going from which room and which room it is going into! Colour coded and everything! Would it be a step too far to put stickers (colour coded to match the list of course) on all the furniture etc???

Evening all

Felt like a right tit this afternoon. Went into the Library to return a book, and as i couldn't find my card, asked them if i had left it there. So they go through the cards, asking me to identify my signiture. I spot DH's card that i thought DD had lost and then my new one, but as DH's was in there means my old one is too I keep leaving the bloody things at the library.

My car broke today too, so going to have a bit of an awkward week til it's fixed. Going to try to get some stuff done tomorrow as can't go anywhere.

Tomorrow's list

To be done before going on MN:
Everyone up
Everyone dressed
Everyone breakfast
Make beds
Empty the dishwasher
Reload the dishwasher
Put washload on
Phone garage/speak to police about car being parked illegally

MN

Clean kitchen
Clean hob
Dry washing
Put 2nd load on
Put a load of clothes away mountain
Go into town and get craft supplies
Try out some sweet recipes
Do the ironing
