November Slatterns/Listmakers - one year on and still taking baby steps.........

1000 replies

alwayslookingforanswers · 31/10/2009 23:39

Yes - Slatterns (now Slatterns and Listmakers) is now a year old.

Come and join us if you're a slattern, or simply like making lists for jobs you want to get done each day/week/month.

Never thought 12 months ago that a thread I started to help me get the bare minimum done at home when I was feeling shite would still be going strong 12 months later - even with me frequently AWOL in recent months.

Everyone is welcome, we're a friendly bunch.

Good idea re: present for friend, she'll have plenty of clothes.

HMHB Just incase you didn't notice my post but you are definitely entitled to an automatic amount of £100/month whenever you have a child under 1 year, so she shouldn't have been so cheeky,
I'm sorry I ever signed up for tax credits one year we're entitled to something the next we're not, then I owe them loads but they'll take from future payments, so don't get anything then all of a sudden start getting small amount again,
I haven't a clue and our accountant fills the form so they know what they're doing!

Well after much pulling of my own hair I finished the shoe/irish dancing cake and the woman was delighted
dropped cake at MIL
did banking
bought paint for chimney breast
fireplace coming on FRIDAY YEY
taxed dhs van

so
dancing today
dinner from freezer
make my mum her birthday cake
IRON

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 17/11/2009 15:31

Plum - thanks for the info.

Same here with the tax credit payment being all over the place. We got something when I was off with DS. Then I was working so we got less and then when I went full time we got nothing and we had to pay stuff back. I was going to ask her about how they work stuff out but after the sniffy attitude didn't bother. I know a few people who don't bother with it as they always end up paying it back.

However, if we do get that £100 / month it will be great. It will help pay for the heating oil since we are at home most days and the weather is being rubbish!

Might have a little nap...
