Yes - Slatterns (now Slatterns and Listmakers) is now a year old.

Come and join us if you're a slattern, or simply like making lists for jobs you want to get done each day/week/month.

Never thought 12 months ago that a thread I started to help me get the bare minimum done at home when I was feeling shite would still be going strong 12 months later - even with me frequently AWOL in recent months.

Everyone is welcome, we're a friendly bunch.

JKS - I would speak to the practise manager too and make a complaint. Although my brain is not working too well today. Hope it gets sorted. NHS dentists are like unicorns round here.

Well terrible night here. DD up at 2.30 then 5am then DS was really sick at about 6.00. So there is sick just about everywhere.

PIL and DH have taken DS out for a bike ride but they didn't tell me they were going ( I was upstairs feeding DD). Ah well can at least get dressed now.

Argh - DS has now been sick on sofa

Am doing washing / drying as quick as I can but everything getting covered in sick (or it seems like it). DS and DH currently having a bath.

I am trying to make sure DH, DD and myself do not get whatever DS has got but apart from cleaning lots and washing lots what else can we do?

I am planning on sending DS to nursery tomorrow. He is fine in himself. They can always send him home if he is ill again.

I shouted at DH earlier in front of PIL. Even though DS has been sick DH actually gave him some sweets! I was v tired as had been feeding DD most of the morning and up lots in the night and ranted that I couldn't trust him not to bribe him with sweets all the time etc. PIL went all quiet. I then went upstairs for a cry. Then thought 'why am I crying?'. Just feeling a bit out of control with everything and exhausted. Am fine now and DH/PIL fine so not to worry, just one of those things .

I didn't get anything done this morning, but DH took DS for a walk this afternoon, so I managed to get somewhere eventually. There's still a lot of paperwork and decluttering to do since the move, but I feel like I'm getting there.

JKS, we're going car-free. We live a 20 min walk from the town centre, I don't drive anyway and DH is finishing his day job on Friday for six weeks, so we don't really need it. We've been meaning to sell it since April and were going to buy a smaller car as it is a gas-guzzler and expensive to tax etc. but we're going to go without it as long as we can.

Oh HMHB, you poor thing! Agree with JKS, if he seems fine I'd send him in.

Alice - glad the party went well, belated Happy Birthday to DD!

We had a lovely day with SIL, her DH and our DNs on Saturday, today I've felt lousy so we have done literally nothing apart from watch films and good telly (Dr Who, new Top Gear etc!). The house is clean, but quite messy so tomorrow I need to tidy and get a few things organised.

HMHB Remember we all get stressed and I think when you have a little baby who is so dependant on you its easy to get stressed with everyone else over anything, no1 culprit here!

Plum - we are in same situation. Gorgeous area but no shops. There is the paper shop but can just get sweets/milk/papers there (no booze!). I would have to drive all the way to Chester (1 hour drive) to decent shops. Local town 20 mins away is not famed for shopping.

I would go for a nice walk to enjoy said countryside with DD but has been raining for weeks ages.

CC - you're doing well coping with kids and your mum. Looks like hard work.

I have had wierd convo with Child tax credits lady. Thought I better phone with change of circumstances, you know, got a new baby, on maternity leave etc and she was v. abrupt. 'You're not going to get anything else you know'. Blimey - I was only updating her, not begging?? - she's probably having a bad day .
