November Slatterns/Listmakers - one year on and still taking baby steps.........

1000 replies

alwayslookingforanswers · 31/10/2009 23:39

Yes - Slatterns (now Slatterns and Listmakers) is now a year old.

Come and join us if you're a slattern, or simply like making lists for jobs you want to get done each day/week/month.

Never thought 12 months ago that a thread I started to help me get the bare minimum done at home when I was feeling shite would still be going strong 12 months later - even with me frequently AWOL in recent months.

Everyone is welcome, we're a friendly bunch.

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe40nappies · 05/11/2009 22:59

Oh God - I answered the door to a delivery bloke with a boob out last year when DS was little. Fortunately I had a big cardi on and I think that it and DS between them defended my modesty.

Hi all! I'm afraid I'm going to have to quit the thread. It's so busy these days that I just can't keep up! I end up running out of time to post before I've even finished reading through

Thanks for all the help and support though

Wasting (and other interested parties) - if you'd like a copy of the Master Plan mail me at lith @ whale-mail . com and I'll send you one. Once I've finally finished the phase 2 Master Plan I'll send a copy to the Slatterns whose addresses I have (whether they like it or not ).

Thank you and goodbye

Oh Norks, this thread is here to make life easier, you certainly don't have to read all my drivel if you don't have time!

I've got an Organised Mum calendar coming. It is currently at the sorting office, that I can't get to. Yesterday was the first day in ages that we got out before lunch, so of course the postman came.

DS and DN enjoyed the fireworks last night, and weather depending, we'll be going to a larger display and bonfire tomorrow.

We've been watching Series 4 of Lost in the evenings and my brain hurts. Last episode tonight. Eeee!

Norks Everyone has already said it, you don't have to 'keep up' - just post when you want to

JKS - awwww at 'piece of quiet'

I am like the walking dead today, we had a godawful night with DS last night. Woke at 12,2,3:45 and then stayed awake until 6am . No idea why, but he is full of beans as usual while I'm slumped on the sofa. Poor DH has had to go into the office when he thought he was going to be at home today, he is knackered as well.
AF was a false start so no idea what is going on there either, I am grumpy as hell and have no chocolate!

TODAY
All up and dressed - done
Orange juice and Spatone - done
Breakfast and tidy kitchen - done
Take DH to station for 11am - done

Wine

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/11/2009 12:36

JKS - ooh yes please. Maya Gold is my favourite . At least you will get some peace at the hairdressers, I love just shutting my eyes and chilling out while they sort out my hair.

I am going to go and buy some Maya Gold actually to have later, and some other treats. It is 5 years ago exactly since DH and I first spent a sneaky night in a hotel together! We had only known each other a week and I was living with my parents at the time - we were also working together and didn't want the whole office to know! A day worth celebrating I think!

claireyBANG · 06/11/2009 13:03

claireyBANG · 06/11/2009 14:12

WME it's shit before H has been working so no probs but now it's just going to be me and the dc and noone wants us because I'll be on benefits

I have always worked hard and am not a waster. I've always planned to get a job when dc are at school and yes I could try now but the dc's lives are already going to be turned upside down so for now I just want to keep that one constant for them...I feel like if we move from the house they know and daddy isn't there anymore and suddenly they are in nursery or with a cm they'll feel completely bewildered and like neither parent wants to be with them

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/11/2009 14:17

Clairey - oh how rubbish . I've obviouslym missed something somewhere, how come you are moving?

I have been fiddling about for the last 2 hours while DS has slept, he is still down but I've just made myself a cuppa so no doubt he will be awake any moment!

claireyBANG · 06/11/2009 14:39

CWWM forgot to say I am cooking your lentil veg thing tonight. Do you reckon I could chuck some cauliflower in too or would that be wierd?

wastingaway · 06/11/2009 14:54

Oh Clairey sweetheart, I read the OP, you poor thing. You will find somewhere. Do you have to leave the house you are in now?

claireyBANG · 06/11/2009 15:09

Yep WME I couldn't afford this house.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/11/2009 15:12

Clairey you poor love - I read that post and didn't think I had anything to offer that wasn't already being said. Had no idea it was you

You talked about moving area, where were you looking to go? Can I do anything to help?

((((hugs))))

For what it's worth, you are better off out of that relationship IMO. Have you got a solicitor?
