Yes - Slatterns (now Slatterns and Listmakers) is now a year old.

Come and join us if you're a slattern, or simply like making lists for jobs you want to get done each day/week/month.

Never thought 12 months ago that a thread I started to help me get the bare minimum done at home when I was feeling shite would still be going strong 12 months later - even with me frequently AWOL in recent months.

Everyone is welcome, we're a friendly bunch.

mumof2 - that sounds like an absolutely horrendous afternoon all round! Hope you are feeling better. Must have been a nightmare trying to entertain the little ones whilst in A&E.

Rainbow sorry to hear about your grandad. Hard to explain to DD about him. I have to repeat things constantly to DS who is 3 so maybe she won't grasp it for a while. Stick in there.

I know HMHB, but I like the idea of doing something for a set amount of time rather than a list that looks like it'll take ages. I'm terrible for under/overestimating how long things take.
I tried my phone CC, but I didn't hear the beep and there was no display to show how long I had left.
I'm going to time everything, so I'll get my money's worth.

Didn't go to toddler group, as I haven't been before and SIL cancelled so I didn't want to go on my own. Did some shopping, but I'll have to go Range later as I filled the pram up at Morrisons!

I totally forgot it was the 5th today, so the list needs a little revision.

JKS - run away from the dentist! Not really what you needed at the moment. I should have gone the week before I had DD but didn't make it due to false labour on and off for that week. I also can't be bothered to go back. Did the dentist/receptionist see you in tears or did you manage to leg it without them noticing.

Will the black tie do be nice? At least a chance to dress up?

yeah im fine now still got a little bit of a sore head my list is going on hold as i have to go to the hospital to pick up dp priscription as he wont be home till late he got to have an op next week so needs the medi before as its to clear him out

Wasting - we have a timer that we use in the kitchen anyway - as i always forget i've put something in the oven and charcoal it!

MumRugrat glad you are feeling better, was DP at work late yesterday? How much did you try to bribe the girls at the hosp?

Not got enough done this morning. Was planning on getting DD up, getting her dressed then giving her breakfast in the car while we did the horses. But, got DD up, dressed her, cat then crapped by the front door, and a little bit by the fridge which someone (DH) stood in and walked it round the house so lots of looking for bits of crap which made us all late. Only had time to turn horses out, not enough time to muck out, so still got that to do, but was actually 2 whole minutes early to TotRock! Then went for tea and cake with some mums and have just got back.

I have been crap and not gone swimming with DS. I went for a nap and slept for too long and then there wasn't time to get sorted and get there. So we are having a pj day and lots of cuddles instead .
Thanks for all the good luck wishes for DH. I spoke to him a bit earlier and he isn't sure it went that well but we shall wait and see. If he gets it then great but if not then it wasn't meant to be!

I'm fab at one-handed typing now. DS is 18 months old, I've had lots of practice.

Left-handed too, as I sit on the right hand side of the sofa.

For weeks he's either not napped or prammed to sleep, so it was nice and snuggly, not irritating like it used to be, all the time. I'm not going to bother trying to get him to nap in his cot at this stage, though I'd like someone else to be able to put him to bed!

Oh Clairey I hate dog poop more than anything else. I check shoes etc. constantly and I still get got, my sympathies.

Evenig all just having 5 mins while DS does the washing up .

I am rubbish at one handed typing still but L is still falling asleep on the boob sometimes but she seems to prefer pulling off for a nosey and leaving me to flash everyone .

Lol I have a filofax and a (new) list that hangs in the kitchen for us to write down shopping as needed. (we used to write on the pinboard/whiteboard but then would forget stuff as we couldn't take that shopping. so have hung up a notepad. )!

I once had those milk 'collector cup' things when the shopping was delivered, bent down to pick up a bag, and poured milk all over my top
couldn't ake eye contact afterwards so have no idea hope fervently that he didn't see if the man saw...
