DS is fast asleep, it's all quiet and warm here. Is it wrong that I want to go back to bed and am seriously considering it?

JustBeBuffy · 27/10/2009 08:22

Go Ali GO!!!

I would, ds2 still asleep, if it was just him & me i'd be there like a shot!

RainbowDrops · 27/10/2009 08:28

Ali I would go back to bed too!! The vitamin B sounds good, I really do need more energy!!

Alibooobaandthe40phantoms · 27/10/2009 08:33

Right I'm off for a nap - yay!

Pumpkinbummum · 27/10/2009 09:01

Morning all

up early left dh to airport
dd1 is crying because her DS has a hinge crack(has had for ages but I mistakenly told her this morning that I would like to see her playing with it) She hasn't played it in months because it makes her sad that its cracked
WTF is she going to be like when she is a teenager!!!!!!!

I finished the george pig cake, very pleased can't get it on to mn for some reason

anyway better get dcs to school

cikecaka · 27/10/2009 12:17

Morning all, DD3 has me up since 4am , bloody hour going bck has really affected her. My DNiece is minding her today after toddler group as she is doing and a childcare course and needs her to base a project on. She is gone with strict instructions not to let her sleep more than an hour. Be back in a minute with my list as DS is anxious to get to the computer

plum Well done to your DS!! Your plans for a takeaway and TV sounds good.

CC The clocks changing has upset DS3 routine too, such a nightmare.

Ali We have Cbeebies on when DS3 is in his highchair, he really loves iggle piggle and gets all excited when he comes on the TV [cute]

DS 1 and 2 have gone to the park with their radio controlled cars, DS3 is napping and DD is playing with fuzzy felt, so I'm going to take the opportunity to rest on the soofa with my book.

RainbowDrops · 27/10/2009 14:18

Ali are you having dinner out?

Alibooobaandthe40phantoms · 27/10/2009 14:21

No we went out on Saturday and had a lovely dinner, my parents looked after DS. We are just going to have something nice from the supermarket that doesn't involve any cooking or much clearing up!

It is so cute when they get excited isn't it? DS loves the Shapes on Mr Maker, he dances along with them

PlumBumMum · 27/10/2009 15:33

Back in my Plumbum to show off cake no8!
Realistically if you were splashing out how much would you pay?

Plum I don't know - I mean my wedding cake cost £350 so that's the only thing I've got to base it on!

Actually, I've seen ones that Waitrose do to order and I reckon they would charge maybe £30-40 for that. I would pay you £50 and upwards depending on how many people it was for. How many will that cake do? It's hard to get the scale.

It is fab by the way - I wish you lived close to me!!

cikecaka · 27/10/2009 15:51

Plumbum,it looks fantastic, I normally pay around E30 for my birthday cakes and they wouldnt be a patch on that. Congrats to your Ds on a good parent teacher meeting and can sympathise with your over DD1 meltdown this morning, as my DD1 would be very like that!
Happy Anniversary Ali,

Ali - Happy Anniversary

Plum - we paid £30 for a Bob cake one year and it was nowhere near as good. But...I'm too tight now as the cake wasn't even that nice to eat so we just buy nice/edible ones and make something out of them.
Eg. Choc swiss rolls made into a train - from the Jane Asher Easy book
So i'm not a good judge!

Had a good trip out with DS1 but knackered now.

That was on a 16" round cakeboard, I only charged 30, but I'm afraid to add up as it prob cost nearly that,
cake board was £3 and box £2 before even starting cake, dh reckons £50,
It was all chocolate
I'm good at shouting at others at making sure they charge right, but embarrassed for myself

PlumBumMum · 27/10/2009 16:29

JKS that person ordered it based on the slightly well done left over chocolate cake I sent into school

JustBeBuffy · 27/10/2009 17:42

Well at least £40 then, though 50 sounds fair too.

are you sure that's the right spelling?

JKS was searching my posts for spelling mistake,

Yeah I know I thought that was strange but I checked twice after my friend saw my sketch and said definitely no 'e' and she was his child minder, each to their own
