Stealing Ali's title as just realised we're out of room, and hopefully all lost slatterns will find us!!!

OP posts:
Pumpkinbummum · 05/10/2009 19:08

Wouldn't mind so much but I remember somebody wanting to know what, Lyra, oggs, berry, or whatever you call it thread was about and the poor poster was flamed!

SpookyAlice · 05/10/2009 20:27

Erm i am very confused.....How did we come up in the first place? Just popped up out of nowhere.

Well I don't have:

  • a desire to slag other people off for doing their own thing
  • a need to poke fun at others for no good reason

...care to add any more?!

  • a desire to bring something totally random and pointless to a thread? and hurting someones feelings at the same time?
NorktasticSlasher · 05/10/2009 21:07

Sorry, the thread is just toooooo long to read through, I'll have to 'get to know' you all as we go Is this a quiche? Well, you've let me join so I suppose it can't be. Maybe. Time will tell

Anyway, don't be upset by the style thread, have you forgotten that MN is officially a nest of vipers?

Anyway, first day of listing complete, and I don't think I did too badly. After skimming the thread a bit I see I probably shouldn't have updated so often. Got a bit over enthusiastic

The only thing I haven't done is fold the nappies. It's nearly 10pm here and I frankly can't be bothered! I will empty the dishwasher before I go to bed though.

My list for tomorrow will be a work in progress for most of the day again, I suspect. DS is having a difficlt time of it ATM and he has vaccinations in the morning, I'll just have to see how things go.

Tuesday
BINS & RECYCLING OUT

Pumpkinbummum · 05/10/2009 21:07

SpooktAlice I also thought that, and went back to read through, wondered who got the post deleted though or did the poster realise it was unnecessary

NorktasticSlasher · 05/10/2009 21:08
Pumpkinbummum · 05/10/2009 21:12

No Norks update often as you like that is what sometimes gives the rest of us a kick, get a bit competitive, I've been the slacker of the group for the past couple of weeks, we've also a few missing slatterns who have abit going on in RL
SB hi if your lurking

Not too annoyed by style thread, but as you will find out there is more to us than lists,
but there is a real meaning to putting get up get dressed etc on the lists, but I'm missing flashforward so gotta go

NorktasticSlasher · 05/10/2009 21:14

'did the poster realise it was unnecessary' Said poster is so well known largely because she is, was and always will be 'unnecessary' about a lot of things.

The deletion message says 'thread deleted at posters request' or some such, when that is the case...

NorktasticSlasher · 05/10/2009 21:17

x pumpkin! DS was busy...

Pumpkinbummum · 05/10/2009 21:18

O yeah forgot that, I don't know who that poster is

and what is a inbouwkastje

right really must go watch flashforward and clean kitchen at same time

JustKeepSlayingVampires · 05/10/2009 21:19

If we are a quiche, then can we be a tasty one?!

As Pumpkin/Plum said there is a meaning to posting the 'silly' bits of a list ....

Monday:

  • bath DONE
  • early night (post-x-factor, recordedDoing)
(prob won't be that early, got lots of x-f still to go)

Tues:

  • all up & breakfasted
  • general tidy pre-cleaners
  • all dressed
  • strip beds & find clean bedding
  • ds1 to pre-sch
  • cleaners here
  • ds2 nap
  • me escape as N DS2-sits, yey!
  • collect ds1
  • lunch & tidy up
  • ds2 nap
  • ds1 & me out, yey!
  • tea
  • boys bath & bed
  • me to orchestra (sitter confirmed)

Ongoing:

  • get photos of family & hang them up
  • get on with friend's family tree GotFileOut
  • transfer all family trees over to Mac software
  • then go through 1911 census
  • organise (Started), upload & order photos of boys

  • info stuff for nanny
NorktasticSlasher · 05/10/2009 21:22

Ooops, I wasn't thinking! Well, I was but not in the language I'm supposed to be typing in It's a built-in cupboard.

I'm pretty sure you do know who the poster is if you think about it for a mo'...

NorktasticSlasher · 05/10/2009 21:24

X again! So, which bits of the lists are obligatory? Will make sure to add them!

JustKeepSlayingVampires · 05/10/2009 21:35

Norks - you've got me thinking now!!

And chill - nothing is obligatory on here, just post what you need to post, do what needs doing, etc.
Everyone does what suits them really

NorktasticSlasher · 05/10/2009 21:50

JustKeep

Oh, come on, PVish? The others were less obvious but I've been seeing her around without looking (IYSWIM) for aaaages.

EMPTY THE DISHWASHER BEFORE YOU GO TO BED, FOR ONCE, SLATTERN! DONE That'll make tomorrow morning so much easier

Pumpkinbummum · 05/10/2009 22:09

Oh thought it might be the infamous one, again another poster got flamed over politely asking who she is, and got flamed but I knew what the poster mean't everyone talks about her and recognises her and newer mners want to know who people are talking about not delve into her RL, but hey ho

as for getting up etc,
FAQ started this thread when she was going through a bad patch and couldn't think what she had done and what she had to do, so by listing everything she had done, she felt she was achieving something and the dones got greater,
so we include them on our lists so we have achieved some dones, and sometimes some of us need them so we can say you have done something today
hope I have put that right feel free to correct me

NorktasticGore · 05/10/2009 22:27

Whatever made you think I meant her? But seriously, I know there are issues and I'd never name names, but it is reaaaaaly obvious. A bit of a daft thing for her to do. maybe.

Thanks for the explanation, that does ring a bell with me actually, I think I peeked in at the time. It's a good thing to do, there have been plenty of times when I've felt that way myself.

Plum - yup that's basically it. So that considered, it's either incredibly rude, or stupid, or both to say that we're mentally ill. I feel really cross actually, and then daft for feeling cross, but this thread has been a real lifeline to me at times recently and I get a bit over-protctive of it!!

JKS - you are right about my name, I will change it

cikecaka - awwww. Don't let it upset you, laughing at cleaning threads is pretty traditional, I guess they do seem quite odd if one isn't involved. 'tis their loss They FLYers get loads of stick! MN is fab, you just need to ignore/walk away from some stuff sometimes, have you read any of the threads in MN classics? They are always good for a harmless laugh.
