Well after my half hour of whirlwind activity I've not really manged to get anything else done. Well, apart from running round after the DC, changing nappies, wiping snotty noses etc.

HMHB/alibabab I know what you mean about paperwork/filing. I shoved a pile in the cupbord before the playdate this morning and there's masses in the attic. 5 months worth . I had it well under control for ages

I will work my way through the thread so I get to 'know' you people a bit but I'm saving that for when the DC go to bed tonight.

Come on Alibaba, you can do it!

I'd no idea I tidied and cleaned the kitchen so often! 5 times today already Is that normal? Will need to do it at least twice more I think t'is open plan with the dining/sitting room, maybe that's why?

It's an hour later here than in the UK so getting short on time now...

OH I think I need a halloween name now!

OP posts:
norktasticninja · 05/10/2009 15:27

Ooooh, me too plum

scaryclaireyboo · 05/10/2009 15:36

Norks that does seem excessive! I normally do mine after breakfast so it's clear for the day, lunch stuff gets stacked by the sink and surfaces quickly wiped to get rid of crumbs, I sometimes wash up again when I'm cooking dinner, make dh do it after then I quickly wipe around before bed if I remember.

All up, dressed, breakfasted - DONE

Also did the internal (glass paneled) doors. Time for a cuppa?

scaryclaireyboo · 05/10/2009 15:40

And I am thinking that some things are just not worth doing when you have toddlers-the doors are already covered in handprints again. Not going to do the cupboards today, they are only in such a mess because ds lkes to rearrange them and I can't face doing something else only to have it undone straight after

norktasticslasher · 05/10/2009 15:47

is this an OK Halloween name?

Thanks clairey, I'll try and curb that then You're right, toddlers make masses of work! My main problem is finding a balance between thinking 'fark it, it'll still be there tomorrow' and efficiency verging on OCD [grr]

Gah. Forgot to add the after dinner jobs. What time do you good ladies stop doing housework in the evenings? I refuse to do anything much after 9pm unless I actually fancy it, well except look after the DC, obviously. Does that sound reasonable?

norktasticslasher · 05/10/2009 15:59

I like it Pumpkinbummum. Non-violent but totally appropriate

Do we have a daily/weekly Do it now slattern (copyright The Fish) task?

norktasticslasher · 05/10/2009 16:02

Not passing comment on the pumpkin like qualities of your bum, which I have clearly never seen, just the name

Pumpkinbummum · 05/10/2009 16:08

I htink I better go do some work, and I might make a start on thinking my Christmas name

actually I've just thought of one
