I seem to have gone a teeny bit mental.

Bashed myself on the head in a bizarre sofa / laptop / toddler / Applemac incident and have not been right since. Head ok now and Applemac thankfully - but I am acting a bit odd, v. low concentration span apart from on changing bags . I can only apologise for the obsessing. Hope I'm not boring you all too much.

If you are able to humor me a little longer, this is the changing bag I am considering here. It is a bit pricey but last time I had the free huggies one and it just fell to bits so I wanted something decent. This one I could use as an overnight bag afterwards [kidding oneself emoticon???].

Plumbum - cake sounding gorgeous!

CC - I will try not to disappear. Can't have baby yet. Not ready!!!!!

Flame - I tried to find PJ's for my hospital bag. I got some from M&S (grey spotty pj bottoms) but god knows if they will fit after birth. I also ended up getting some hideous practical night shirts from Mothercare which poor DH has already had to see me wearing.

Today

CWWM your very organised, I have one of those tatty little notebooks, I'm afraid too organise as then I will see how much money I need to magically appear

oops do you have dunnes over there? Or try peacocks do they do jammies? Or as you say have a couple of clean old pairs set aside

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 27/09/2009 11:03

I wanted dark strappy tops for the pjs, which is where it all went wrong.

I seem to be noticing today that whilst I spent Thursday afternoon working for the entire time putting clothes away, DH seems to have spent his time bringing the clothes upstairs and dumping paperwork on the table. It isn't even straight enough in there to hoover properly.

Tired, pissed off and tearful. not helped by my mum telling me and everyone else that they have been on edge with my emotions all week - I haven't been tearful for most of the f*cking week and her making me out to be worse than I am makes me feel even more shit when I actually do get like this

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 27/09/2009 11:04

Flame/PBM - Thanks for your honest opinions. I think that the bag is a bit 'cutesy'. Have also seen a brown one (same make) on ebay with more simple pattern (i.e. no cupcakes, hearts etc.) so might go with that - there are other similar cheaper ones. here. I might get the free one from boots anyway but like I said, last time it fell apart.

Have a good day all.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 27/09/2009 11:07

HMHB - I don't really like those Pink Lining ones. They are too flowery and cup-cakey for me, not my style. If they are your style though then go for it, I have heard good reports in terms of them lasting well, wipe clean etc.
I chose mine on the basis that it was chocolate brown like my Bugaboo and had a make-up bag inside it

Debenhams do nice PJs Flame, not too pricey and I think they have a sale on atm.

CWWM - that is so organised!

Only doing a DONE list today, still being very lazy!

DONE
Up and dressed
DS boobed changed and dressed
Breakfast x 3
Dishwasher on
Hoover downstairs
Tidy our bedroom

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 27/09/2009 11:12

PlumBumMum · 27/09/2009 11:36

Flame - sorry to hear about crap mum comment. Just what you need. Try to ignore her. Sounds like you have enough to do without worrying that you are upsetting everyone. Can you go have a coffee and a sit down - and sod them all?

Ali - Yes they are a bit flowery, that was my worry. The brown one is a bit safer - no flowers etc. But who knows what my taste will do after I have given birth .

CWWM - impressed at xmas planning. I was thinking of just buying everyone the same thing e.g. nice slippers or something as probably won't have the brain power to do anything else.

Flamesparrow · 27/09/2009 11:47

DH is back from shops (he took DC to corner shop with him) and made me tea and fed me croissants and waffles. I think I may just be a teeny bit unbalanced today.

wastingaway · 27/09/2009 12:21

Morning all!

HMHB, might be an idea to get the Boots freebie for now, and you can always get something different later, without having wasted any money.

Am I allowed to call L a monster today she just wont stop feeding.

(HUGS) Flame.

Waves to Ali and all other slatterns.

I am not organised about xmas I just hate the thought of panicking and with all the dc to buy for it is a nightmare.
I do buy relatives more or less the same thing for example I got all the teeny bopper cousins some urban decay powder stuff for 49p each from ebay yesterday .

DP has blitzed the house I have fed L and helped with homework (just found out some very interesting stuff about France ).

How old is L now CWWM?
Good going with the shopping.
We've got DS main pressies, but I was planning on knitting for DS and DN, but I'm running out of time to get started.

PlumBumMum · 27/09/2009 14:07

I am getting nowhere fast,
Flame God knows what my mum says about me, my brother has just left and I think I said about 3 words to him, but he landed in at 1.00,
when normally we would be sitting eating lunch, and my house is a tip, dh is out working,
so I really couldn't be bothered
so once brother heard me say right time to make lunch he decided to leave, I didn't even offer to make them any,
I honestly don't mind people dropping in anytime, but my family always do it at mealtimes or bedtimes,
or send me texts saying we're at your house your not in because theyve called at schoolrun time
