Hello everyone, getting a new computer tomorrow, fingers crossed so will be able to get my house back in shape , have become very slatternly!!!

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 15/09/2009 19:45

Internet keeps breaking - always at around 8-8.30pm so nightmare if I am trying to write on a thread so apologies if I disappear mid conversation.

Ali - I am also allergic to ibuprofen and aspirin, v. annoying! Can recommend lots of vitamin C.

Flame - we are really close with the due dates. I'm due on 15th Oct. Bending over is v uncomfortable at present. I feel your pain.

Had mentally busy day at work and sorting out paint for spare room. Gave presentation to people on 2 continents as well - as you do. Bit knackered now but have promised to make paella for DH. He is being great as have winged at him a fair bit today.

Random question - had to buy satin wall paint as was only kind in colour I want - will it look hideous on textured wallpaper (was also in sale).

Hi CC Hopefully see you tomorrow

[worried]HMHB I got silk for kitchen in a fit of insanity I never buy silk, its lovely but would have been nicer in matt iykwim, but yours will be lovely, Plum shuffles away quickly for someone else to lie reassure HMHB

Well Ihave sorted through the invoices for VAT rtn but I think dh is coming in now for dinner so probably won't get them finished until later in week,
ah well they are already late so will have to pay surcharge anyway,
I only started doing them because dh never had the time and was always late and I realised how much the bloomin surcharges were!![eek] Practice what I preach,
wouldn't mind but its not as if we have the money to waste (sorry rant over),
nobody else to blame but myself

CC - nice to have you back!

HMHB - It exhausts me reading about your day, goodness knows how you are coping!! You will slow down soon won't you?

JKS - my ongoing list is remaining firmly undone at the moment too, can't seem to find the motivation or time to tackle it.

Have had a lovely but tiring day today. DH has only just got home so I didn't get my usual break at bathtime. DS escaped from me and wee'd on my bed which didn't help matters. I've now got a huuuge pile of laundry to deal with. I shall stop moaning now!
I actually found some clothes for DS that I liked in Mothercare today. Realised this morning when I was getting him dressed that almost everything that fitted him is summer stuff, so that's one thing sorted.

Hello
Can't possibly catch up as too many posts but didn't want you all to think I'd abandoned you! Long absence due to illness and other shit but really need to get back into the habit of posting my lists as they do help.

Oh, except I am going to my sister's tomorrow afternoon for the weekend...erm back to list making on Monday then!

Welcome (belated!)to mumof2.

Rainbow sorry you are having rough patch with your dh.

Flame and HMHB are you nesting yet?

Hi everyone else

PlumBumMum · 16/09/2009 16:51

Hi Clairey how are you? Hope your ok!

I have done one month now onto 2nd month of VAT rtn

OP posts:
HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 16/09/2009 17:11

Plum - I tried the paint last night and it was not only 'satin' but also the wrong colour so have taken it back and now got matt [phew]. I pointed out that the test pot was in matt but you can only get that particular colour in satin and the assistant said that all the test pots were matt ??

Ali - am aware that I probably am doing a bit too much so am trying to scale down a bit. I think yesterday was the peak stressful day at work. I had work this morning then afternoon off although that has been spent taking paint back to B&Q, having lunch then picking up DS from school and looking after him. Patience wearing thin now as he has just weed (accidentally) on his school trousers which I now have to clean and dry before tomorrow.

Hi Clairey bee - glad you are feeling better, good to see you back! I would nest if I had time. Have tried to sort out baby clothes, pack hospital bag etc. but not getting far. Hopefully will be able to get things done when on maternity leave - 2 weeks to go.

Jobs
Gestate 36 weeks doing
Make dinner - awaiting asda fish pie

HMHB - that's stoopid about the paint!

Ali - I know!! I don't think they liked the poo-pants, but then what did they expect???

Hi CC

I was very worried about while you were AWOL
Peppa has namechanged to Rainbowdrops
CWWM is also missing in action,
have seen her round the board but she hasn't come back to slatterns
Smallblessings(NBM) i
s also missing but shes having abit of hard time at the mo with PND I think, if your lurking Smallblessings come back and say hello no need for a list, you know we are here anyway

Alice has namechanged to naughtyalice
There is another namechanger, called Alwayslooking but don't think she wants to be outed, you will know what I mean by "she is our leader!"

Poor JKS has had a few trips to the hospital with her ds to get his meds right(but she has wrote about that)

And Muppets is missing too

And poor Wasting had some crazy loon of a troll attack her on another thread, haven't seen her as much unless she has namechanged

And Alices sister joined us

Think thats everyone covered
I'm same old slattern bursts of energy get loads done and then leave but I WILL CHANGE MY WAYS

I did another castle cake for my cousin, everyone loved it and dh brought me to the cake shop to get me a few supplies!

and breath

OP posts:
cikecaka · 16/09/2009 21:41

Thanks for that PBM, will have to keep checking back on your message for name changes. JKS, it must be very worrying for you, really hope everything goes well for you all! Will be back in the morning with my list.
