Took dd to see physio this morning, physio says both of her leg bones in one leg are about 0.5cm shorter than the other and thats why she is a bit knock kneed and turns her foot in. Physio said it's nothing to worry about and she is just a variation on normal Either she'll even out as she gets older, it will stay the same, or it will get worse, just have to wait and see.

Also transferred some money, had lunch and went to library while in town. Apart from that have done nothing.

Did we all have bad nights lat night? I couldn't sleep at all.

Am having a cup of tea and several a flapjack before I consider doing anything. |DC are fighting over a pepper pig sticker book so I'm ignoring them

claireybee · 20/08/2009 16:12

JKS yes it is a relief, I wasn't majorly worried but it was niggling at the back of my mind that I needed to get it looked at. Can check that off my mental to do list now.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 20/08/2009 16:34

Clairey I think it was the heat partly - it was sooo warm and muggy. I ended up going hunting for a sheet in the airing cupboard at 2am - I can't sleep with no covers at all.

Hi all, had a massively long day at work sorting agreements and doing important work type stuff as lots of people away!

To those who are sleeping badly and thinking about ttc remember that nights are full of babies moving around in your tummy, waking up at 4am because you have to go to the loo then you randomly get cramp and have to jump out of bed and leap around the bedroom.

JKS - its soul destroying when you make something wholesome for them and they turn their noses up. Don't take it personally.

Clairey - I can report that my osteopath said one of my legs looks longer than the other because my hips are slightly wonky and no one would ever know and it doesn't make any difference to me at all - Hopefully your DD will be the same.

Jobs
Gestate - 31 weeks doing
DS to nursery and back done
Ring Orange and fix broadband hopefully done
Ring to try to fix Sky tried - may need to get a man in.
Have shower and put comfy clothes on
Filing
Get DS to bed - DH doing
Pack for mini break with friend

Before October
Clear out freezer and fill with delicious ready meals
Buy lots of 'healthy' snack type stuff to eat on the run
Cancel childcare vouchers DH doing
Get out all baby stuff and clean / buy new stuff if necessary
Get a Wii fit
Get subscription to Grazia to keep me sane
Get some DVD's to watch whilst breastfeeding

Any ideas on how to keep me sane once DC2 arrives most welcome.

JustKeepSwimming · 20/08/2009 20:40

JKS - I remember the brain mulch phase. At least I know now that it passes (I hope!!!!!). You'll be back applying to MENSA in a few weeks.

Ali - I worked late last time too. Full time til 2/3 weeks before DS1 was born. Its mainly an office, sit down type job so its not too challenging. My colleagues like a laugh too which helps.

Ali - DC's wee in your bed, soooo unnecessary!

Jobs
Gestate - 31 weeks doing
DS to nursery and back done
Ring Orange and fix broadband hopefully done - testing by extended mumsnetting
Ring to try to fix Sky tried - may need to get a man in. = testing by watching films

NorksNappiesAndNowtElse · 21/08/2009 10:58

Ello

Tis Flamesparrow btw.

I am feeling vaguely more motivated today.

I am thinking that instead of a daily list, I am going to do a "things to do before explode" list.

I have 8 weeks (it is NOT coming early)

Home:

Clear lounge
Sort toys in lounge
Lounge carpet
Birth Ball - fix and inflate
Clear dining room
Rearrange dining room
Clean kitchen (not as essential tbh)
Find crib
Clear bedroom
Post maternity clothes
Washing x 100000
Sort clothes for loft (& glare at DH as that was meant to happen in MAY)

BumFluff:

Post orders
Contact suppliers
Newsletter
Pack stock into proper boxes

Children:

Do not kill
Write letter to nursery

Food:

Feed us daily
Batch cook

So, that is 19 jobs.... even if I split it into one job taking 2 1/2 days I can do it, and most of them will not need that long

Plus, as of Sept DS starts preschool 4 mornings a week, and has one WHOLE day of nursery a week.

Come tell me that that is all doable....

PLEASE?

(Oh, throw in there "name child" too please )

JustKeepSwimming · 21/08/2009 11:25

Perfectly doable Flame/Norks..... you can do it love, honest

DS2 gone back to bed, he can have an hour before we have to go and get ds1.

Fri:

  • put away all clean clothes DONE
  • plant pot plant (lavender) we were given as a gift weeks ago!
  • DS1 to holiday club gone
  • me & DS1 to friends for afternoon (DH working from home)
  • me & DH out to football in the evening (sitter booked)
