Really don't know what is wrong with me at the moment, I feel really lethargic and it's an effort to get anything done (and then I feel worse for not havng done anything). Feel like a really shit mummy at the moment too because I hardly play with the dc, just give them the crayons or whatever then leave them to it (then get cross about all
the mess).

Am going to make more of an effort starting from TODAY. And am also going to incorporate some yoga into my day to try and make me feel better...

Have found another area of doom-under my bed. DS seems to have shoved lots of toys and bits of stuff under there so need to move it and clear out all the junk. Also need to sort through all the books-have a box and a carrier bag full in the wardrobe and a toppling tower next to the bed. Was going to do that today in the hope that a clean and tidy bedroom would help me feel more energised but I was sorting through all the clean clothes on my bed and there was a moth n them and there is now a massive moth on my bed (trapped under a wipes box). I am terrified of moths (and spiders, and cockroaches, and crane flies, and....).

So I think I'll do the sideboard instead.

Sorry am very me me me at the moment

claireybee · 05/08/2009 11:39

Gorgeous pics CWWM

Ali/WME I do OCM too (or a variation of...don't always do the steaming part just wipe straight off with hot cloth). I use almond oil with 5% castor but my skin is still really dry afterwards and I still get lots of little spots...

Ali I have some wool wraps too and I used to love them but have got out of using them now for some reason. One tip is to make sure you strip them back every few months (eg get rid of all the lanolin by soaking and washing in washing up liquid a few times) and then relanolise-otherwise they will start to stink even after airing.

claireybee · 05/08/2009 11:40

JKS hope the ab's kick in soon, and I think you are entitled to do nothng in the meantime!

cikecaka · 05/08/2009 11:53

Just been given the fright of my life, Was hanging out clothes and DD3 was talking to me, I was answering her but when I turned round, I realised she was in DD2 room upstairs and was hanging out the window talking to me , everytime I told her to go back in she laughed at me, until I pretended DS was going to get one of her babies, She moved very swiftly. I feel sick

CWWM - she is so lovely! Ooh I want a little tiny baby . Only 8 months until we are TTC for number 2!

Peppa - hope you have a good day.

WME - steady there, you'll be all done before lunch at that rate!
I have always just used DS' normal nappy at night, Bambinex bamboo, but double boosted, and still with a normal PUL wrap. We've had a lot of problems with leaks in the last month or so, so I've branched out. Got an Ella's House bumhugger night nappy, and it is fantastic. Quite slim but so absorbant (and soooo soft). I boost with a bamboo insert at the front as well as DS sleeps on his tummy, and it's that combined with the wool wrap I've been using for the last week that is my favourite combination. I have just ordered two more of the night nappy because I was so impressed. Cuddlebabes I the website I used, they do trial prices and have an advice line.

Cikecaka eek!

clairy i am sure you are a great mummy. Your children are fed, clothed and loved there is not much else they need. You are allowed to have slobby days.

I am exactly like that cwwm every night i go to bed thinking 'right, in the morning i'll do .......' and then in the morning i want to just curl up on the sofa and do bugger all.

I am just drinking a very strong coffee trying to get myself motivated to do the horses.

Oh, and must remember to phone the Hay man

Ladygooga · 05/08/2009 14:33

claireybee · 05/08/2009 14:59

Well kicked myself hard to make myself do the sideboard and then some of the paperwork needed to be filed in the filing boxes in the cupboard under the stairs so I took a deep breath and emptied it out and it is all nice and sorted now

Thanks Alice, I just feel bad that I am taking care of their basic needs and not really interacting with them during play time...They don't seem to want or need me there most of the time, they are quite happy just playing alone (and I do think that some free play is essential for development rather than me always structuring it etc) BUT I sometimes feel a bit neglectful. I'm sure lots of mums sit down and do crafty things or sing songs for hours on end but I'm not one of them!

Hi all,

Yes had nice time in Bude. Bit rainy though.

Gorgeous outside today, managed to do loads of washing.

Feeling a little ahem.. mature for the average slattern - I am 35 although I think I skipped a year when DS was born. I don't feel old and I don't think I look too bad (although I am sure that will change when DC2 comes along) - I am pumped full of pregnancy hormones at the moment which does help.

However I am currently feeling massive. Baby is kicking loads and am something like 28 weeks - I forget.

Clairey don't beat yourself up, we all go through stages like that especially now we have found mn

dd1s letter for hospital was my kick up the behind, I just thought the poor thing might not get to do much after and we haven't done anything so far

So the Zoo was brilliant went abit dull a few times but it was warm and didn't rain YEY
The gorillas came right up to the glass so the dcs loved it.

CC Sometimes I find it harder to get over the what ifs, it does make you feel sick

Still no sign of Smallblessings hope shes ok!

Right need to

see whats for dinner
empty dishwasher
maybe put a wash on
iron whats on clothes horse
Put away clean washing before it mounts up again!

alicecrail · 05/08/2009 16:55

clairy i have heard those type of parents exist, but i have yet to meet one! I like to sit down and do stuff with dd but tbh, she gets bored within 5 mins and goes off to do her own thing. I can't help thinking that the kids who have these parents that are constantly getting them to do things rather than just letting them be, must be fed up of them! You know that if your dc want you to play they will ask you.

So relax

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 05/08/2009 16:55
