Okay, I am clearly worrying way too much about this but there are only a few spaces left in the old thread!

(What do I think will happen if we finish without a new list? We'll just make a new one. Relax woman!)

Thanks to alicecrail for the title.

Please finish the old thread before starting on this one - there could be a prize if you are number 1000.

So Clairey, seeing as you're our resident expert, do i leave the wet stuff out overnight? or bring it in, drape all over the kitchen and put out again tomorrow, or put it in the tumble dryer......?

i await your benevolent decision with bated breath....

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 26/05/2009 20:15

Evening ladies. I can see you've been busy again. Are we getting competitive?

JKS - check weather forecast, if dry overnight leave out. Worked for me on Sat. Although have a feeling its going to chuck it down so may as well put straight in dryer. Clarey will be along in a minute with the correct answer I'm sure.

TrillianAstra · 26/05/2009 20:38

Expanding midriff with no explanation - slightly 'gosh she's put on weight' looks.

Expanding bump with a baby inside 'awwwwww' looks.

I am making the MN lemon drizzle cake! In a loaf tin. I'm going to cut off the end so we can check that it's okay, and take the rest round to T (the one with the new baby) tomorrow afternoon.

You're sure it's not horribly rude to go round to someone who had a baby only this weekend? I know there have been threads with people wanting to just be left alone. I think I might knock on the door and run, so they get the stuff but don't get disturbed.

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 26/05/2009 22:08

I'd put a brew on for anyone who turned up with lemon drizzle cake.

Trillian - Expanding bump aww looks plus bonus enormous bosoms (where there were none before) stares from older male colleagues who are finding me quite a distraction.

Weather much to awful for any washing. 1 minutes silence for JKS's washing on the line.

List
Get out of house
Take DS to nursery
Go to work
Take stuff back to Debenhams at lunchtime
Quick food shop
Back to work
Post card to friend and order some present for her
Get anniversary card for mum.
Come home to home type carnage.

alicecrail · 27/05/2009 08:55

Good morning all (would say slatterns but some of you have been doing a bit too much to warrant that )

trillian After i had DD i was more than happy for people to come over as long as they didn't mind the mess and made me cake a cup of tea. My Grandma and aunt came over 4 days after i had her, and brought lunch with them and did the washing up - they live 40miles away! I couldn't be doing with someone dropping in who expected me to be hostess, but by the sounds of things, you would be welcome as you seem to understand how new parents feel.

So, stupidly, i went into cambridge with DH yesterday afternoon and i suffered. I was in bed by 6pm with a temperature Feel almost normal today apart from the snotty nose. (yuk)

Everyone up done
Everyone breakfast done
Everyone dressed done
Washing on done
Dry washing
Put dishwasher on
Tidy hall
Tidy kitchen
Lunch
Go to jewellery making taster session at college (maybe, if still feel ok)
Do horses (dirty beasts!)
Do weekly shop ( we normally go on a sunday, so have been living off stuff from the freezer for the last 3 days )
Cook dinner
DD bath and bed
Sewing?

wastingmyeducation · 27/05/2009 09:46

Comewhinewithme · 27/05/2009 11:28

Hello going to read through in a minute . Hope all is ok with everyone.

Had to go to drop in centre yesterday as my MW thought baby was breech (she isn't) while I was there had a sweep been having irregular CTX on and off since about midnight and had a really big show so things may be happening !!!

alicecrail · 27/05/2009 11:32

Ooh cwwm how exciting, are you sure you don't want a slatterns birthing thread??

Comewhinewithme · 27/05/2009 11:36

Right weather here crappy too and still no dryer ! So have heating on and windows open .

JKS enjoy your afternoon of chaos sounds fun.

Alice hope you feel better soon .

Anyone who wants to pop by with lemon drizzle cake after baby arrives is very welcome .

Waves to all slatterns < goes off to potter>.

Comewhinewithme · 27/05/2009 11:40

Alice I nearly cried when I had the sweep I am a total wuss I need Gas and air .

Just hope this isn't another false alarm but if it is my MW is going to book an induction at my appt next week .

alicecrail · 27/05/2009 11:47

Would definitely pop by with cake, but i don't think you are near me. Are you?

SuperWasher · 27/05/2009 13:08

Ooh do I get a shiny medal?

So glad I got all that done yesterday though because it is absolutely chucking it down here today.

Well if we're all cool with popping in, shall we have a slatterns tour?? Absolutely no tidying beforehand allowed (and then we can judge see how slatternly we all really are).

Erm today I have got us all up, popped to tescos, hoovered the sitting room, turned the sofa cushions over to hide the dirty side, washed up and had a friend round for coffee. Need to hang out nappies and cook dinner but other than that I am not going to do much so will not bother with a real list . Anyone in N somerset v welcome to come around if they bring cake

SuperWasher · 27/05/2009 13:11

JKS I would have left it out too, and then cursed myself when I woke up to rain this morning!

PlumBumMum · 27/05/2009 13:50

Oh Claireybee I do like your new name (although if you were irish we would have called you a superscrubber)

Well I had to go out and work this morning(which means do messages for dh)
and Iwas up through the night with my shoulder which triggered a migraine so I'm not really with it today, dh said get the kids to bed and then have a beer and watch football with him
Hello Apprentice is on!

And I realised I should have had the VAT return done, but thankfully I do have a lovely dh who said don't worry about it I could do it at the weekend!

And don't worry about my shoulder as its my own stupid competitive fault dh and I are trying to see who can get the youngest wii fitness age, of course he won, he got 28 ffs, I was pleased at getting 37 but yesterday my shoulder gave in and I got 59,

Only 1 schoolrun today as ds has Judo so finishes with dd1

thats all lazyday for me

PlumBumMum · 27/05/2009 13:55

PlumBumMum · 27/05/2009 13:58

Oh crap forgot that dosen't work in caps

And it would probably be Newry or Dundalk for anyone whos interested depending on where CC is

(OH God I'm in rambling mode today, and it looks like I'm the only slattern online, or I've bored you all to sleep)

TrillianAstra · 27/05/2009 14:06

Popping in on CWWM would be scary, lots of children there already! Where are you? If you're near Alice then you're near me too! (I'll need to get more lemons though)
