Okay, I am clearly worrying way too much about this but there are only a few spaces left in the old thread!

(What do I think will happen if we finish without a new list? We'll just make a new one. Relax woman!)

Thanks to alicecrail for the title.

Please finish the old thread before starting on this one - there could be a prize if you are number 1000.

Hello may I join you.

My house just never seems sorted.

I have 2 kids - the youngest with severe ASD so I have jobs that have to be done repeatedly (cleaning windows, wiping leather sofas, hoovering after every meal!) I am not houseproud this is just to try and keep the mess under control.

ds is in the process of moving schools so is part time at present so I am transporting him so I have him home more (making mess)but I am off work so should have time to get sorted.

Today done
Washing
Clothes away
Ironing
Cloakroom
kitchen floor
hoover downstairs

To do
Hoover stairs/landing
Hoover bedrooms
2nd wash
dust bedrooms

On going!
Conservatory / playroom
Study

The good thing about flying though, is that you get a Mission every day.

I do like a Mission.

Not that I could ever keep up with them.
And some were frankly so grufty-sounding I didn't want to do them.

Still...

I did get half my list done this morning, but I've done bugger all apart from lunch since then.

Oh sorry hi tibni,
cocodrillo your mission today is to......(need to go back a page and look at your list)

PlumBumMum · 18/05/2009 15:48

Your mission is to make a list you don't have one!!

alicecrail · 18/05/2009 15:51

Afternoon all

cocodrillo wants a mission? Here is today's mission:
Sit down with a cup of tea and a biscuit (or in my case a nice homemade piece of apricot flapjack)

Today wasn't too bad.I left my house at 9am, went to my grandma's (got there about 10) left there at 11am went to my stepmum's friend's house (where she is staying) and nobody is there. I ring her, they are in town and their car has broke down, so can i meet them in town. Drive into town, meet them and find car has been fixed so drive back to friend's. Give DD her lunch there and have a chat (not really able to have much of a catch up) we both leave to see my mum, DD is asleep in the car by then so have to chat out on the driveway, there for 10mins. Leave Mum's, go to garage to pick up battery for fence, then drive home. Literally just got home and i'm bloody shattered!

Can't be bothered with my list anymore today, will be back with a shiny new list tomorrow

PlumBumMum · 18/05/2009 16:01

Ohh Claireybee sorry if I haven't been paying attention but whats your party?

SORT & IRON CLEAN WASHING
help dh fix fence farmerhelpinghim
Wash dishes done
lunch done
school runs done
think of something for dinner don't have much shopping in [arggh]
make cheesecake brownies
sausages, oniongravy and chips for dinner

having a quick nosey on MN then make a start on dinner and brownies

claireybee · 18/05/2009 16:08

PBM officially it's dd's third birthday. But really it's an excuse to get our mates together and drink . Our friends don't live near us so we like to have an occasion every so often- I remember her 1st birthday we went to buy booze and the checkout lady said "what are you celebrating?" and looked v shocked when we said it was a 1st birthday party!

Have done nothing on my list, it's too grey and dreary. Oh unless waiting for boiler man counts as doing something?

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 18/05/2009 16:12

Ooh alice - recipe please!

WME - I've not showered yet either, I am going to get up and do that now!!

alicecrail · 18/05/2009 16:27

Apricot Flapjacks

225g (8oz) butter
75g (3oz) sugar
2 tablespoons golden syrup
350g (12oz) porridge oats
Big handful of dried apricots chopped

preheat oven to 180c/350f/gas4

In a saucepan over a low heat, melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup until all melted and sugar dissolved.

Take pan off heat, mix in oats and apricots.

Spread mix into a greased tray, press down with spoon.

Bake in oven for 20-25mins.

Leave to cool.

Voila!
Next time i am going to spread a layer of apricot jam in between 2 layers of flapjack mix, i think that will be yummy

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 18/05/2009 16:33

Mmmm - with the jam in the middle it will be a flapjack cake. Yum! Thanks Alice, those sound delicous!

alicecrail · 18/05/2009 16:43

They are good. Very easy to make too so i think its a good recipe to do with kids - although very messy
