Okay, I am clearly worrying way too much about this but there are only a few spaces left in the old thread!

(What do I think will happen if we finish without a new list? We'll just make a new one. Relax woman!)

Thanks to alicecrail for the title.

Please finish the old thread before starting on this one - there could be a prize if you are number 1000.

Anyone want to swap? Have just made tea for DS who says he doesn't want it (fish fingers and beans - which he chose). He went to the cupboard and found some crisps which I say he cannot have. If I did say he could have crisps he wouldn't eat anything else. I have now hidden the crisps outside.

DS now crying for crsips (in an especially annoying way) and there is a cold plate of beans and fish fingers on the table.

[totally exasperated emoticon]

JustKeepSwimming · 17/05/2009 18:40

HMHB - been there, done that!
offer him plain bread and butter?
i do that sometimes with ds1 so i know he's had something to eat but it's not a treat.

Today:

  • measure DS1's height for wall DONE & weight for chart for his birthday
  • tea DONE
  • boys bath and bed soon
  • finish DaVinciCode film & bed

  • pack nursery bags for tomorrow
  • pack some stuff for me & ds2 to go to london on tues
HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 17/05/2009 19:32

DS is now eating dinner for DH, in the lounge , mainly because he doesn't want to go to bed and it was a better option. On the plus side he has just spilt beans all over himself and I am giggling (internally) as DH has to sort out the mess.

I know I am pg but there is wine in the fridge. A couple of sips should sort me out.

Todo
Tidy house a bit
Get take-away (Random DH request - fine by me)
DS to bed
Get stuff ready for tomorrow

JustKeepSwimming · 17/05/2009 19:37

I'm going to have to venture up on a chair to do the lightbulbs and banners tomorrow, DH is busy busy for the next couple days.

HMHB - I suppose I've got all the tantrums to look forward to! At the minute DS is mainly fascinated by dropping food over the side of the highchair and looking where it went. Hope you have a more relaxing evening.

This week;
Book decorator for bathroom.
Make list of new storage items to buy for bathroom.
Cook big cottage pie, portion + freeze for the dc's.
Ask dad nicely to help me move huge planter in the garden.

Sort out downstairs toys and take surplus upstairs to dc's bedrooms.

Plus all the day to day stuff that I'm not yet organised enough to list yet!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 17/05/2009 22:19

MM - I missed your post earlier, sorry you are in lots of pain - but yay for your flat being finished

Welcome Meglet

alicecrail · 18/05/2009 07:41

Good morning slatterns Sounds like everyone has had a good weekend apart from the rain.

I am off to see my stepmum (well, ex stepmum, her and my dad are seperated) which i am really looking forward too, but i am slightly stressed about as she asked me to go this morning so i have arranged my day around it, but now she says can i go after 11 which messes my day up somewhat and means i only get to see her for about 2 hours (i only see her about once/twice a year). So i was trying to organise it all when she texts and says she would like to meet me somewhere else (my mum's) over lunch which means i would have to give DD her lunch in a smoky house and stay there longer than i would really like, so i am just stressed about the whole thing (sorry for the ramble )

TrillianAstra · 18/05/2009 08:30

Happy Monday everyone.

I think maybe we should stop asking if there is a baby yet, I imagine it's getting a bit annoying and CWWM is too polite to tell us

Muppets well done on getting your flat sorted out so quickly, are you thinking 'no pain no gain' or do you wish you'd taken it a bit easier?

ALice I expect your stepmum thinks that your mum's house is a good place to meet, I guess you could suggest that next time (maybe not quite so far away) you go somewhere just the two of you so that you can catch up better. Does she live far away? I think the older generation just aren't really aware of where is smoky and where is not as they are/were so used to everywhere being like it.

List for today

drink tea and MN DOING
