Okay, I am clearly worrying way too much about this but there are only a few spaces left in the old thread!

(What do I think will happen if we finish without a new list? We'll just make a new one. Relax woman!)

Thanks to alicecrail for the title.

Please finish the old thread before starting on this one - there could be a prize if you are number 1000.

Bit late, but at me writing "here" instead of "hear". Jeez, that's what lack of sleep'll do for ya.

alicecrail · 13/05/2009 17:21

Hello slatterns and new slatterns

CC sorry to hear you're feeling poorly hope you feel better soon

Jks I think it's very inconsiderate that cwwm won't have her baby at home whilst on mn so that we can have a bit of entertainment help and encourage

I am feeling quite virtuous today, in a domestic goddess kind of way My house is looking quite tidy (if you squint anyway) and i have already made a shepherds pie to go in the oven at 5.30pm
If i could only keep it this way........

Oh dear stressed myself out today and the dear old NHS didn't help.

Fretted cos have been feeling baby move alot then last two days didn't feel anything I called the surgery where my midwife is...she is on leave, they advised me to call my drs...surgery closed on weds afternoon and they advised me to call alternative surgery or A&E... no answer at alternative surgery. A&E in the local town are for minor injuries only and told me to call larger hospital maternity ward....who told me to call Gyne ward....who cut me off...then re called and was put through to lovely midwife who said that everything is fine and sometimes this happens until 20-28 weeks pg.

After all that lot was really upset and couldn't go back to work as was in a state and actually (the shame) got my mum to call work to say I wouldn't be back.

Chilled out on the sofa and calmed down. Watched trash film until DH/DS came home.

Now cooking carbonara for tea.

HI everyone!
I hadn't skulked off, have just been crazily hectic the last few days (or is it almost a week?) oh well....bumbled about on MN but not had time nor energy to list my lists!
Won't bother with today's list as today's almost over (for me anyway - need my bed!) but will resume another day for sure!
Hope all well - happy belated birthday to your ds wasting!
Trinity I know what you mean about getting competitive with yourself! Even though I hadn't posted on slatterns for a few days, I kept thinking I really OUGHT to so as to make sure I did everything!
Catch you all tomorrow no doubt! DS3 made us some icecreamy treats this evening for tea (v sweet watching him - he's only 5) so I'm going to scour the place to see if anything left over for me to slurp!
Trillian I tried to zip through the posts I've missed but can't seem to see how your coffee shop job went? Are they okwith you not working weekends or have you knocked it on the head?

MuppetsMuggle · 13/05/2009 20:31

CC sorry to see your feeling ill - hope your feel better soon.

CWWM How you doing this evening?
I agree with the other ladies a home MN birth should be top of the list hehe

I think i've over done it today, I ache all over, and got pains in my ankles, hips and back neck hurts too.
Just running a hot bath to see if that helps, ready for tomorrows painting blitz!

wastingmyeducation · 13/05/2009 22:31

Good morning slatterns

Jks I love that cake tin, i was thinking of getting the one with ladybirds and butterflies on for DD's cake this year, they are a really good idea. I think if you do madeira cake, it keeps better than just sponge.

Seeing as my house is looking quite tidy at the moment, i am going to try really hard to not let it slip - well, maybe not for at least a week!

Everyone up
Everyone breakfast
Everyone dressed
Put washload on
Go to horses
Dry washing
Go to sewing shop/craft shop
Clean bathroom
Mop bathroom floor
De-cobweb landing (its quite bad )
Lunch
Horses, and ride. Farrier coming at 4pm
Cook dinner
Load dishwasher
Wipe kitchen down
Sweep hall/kitchen
Make purse for my Step-mum's birthday

JustKeepSwimming · 14/05/2009 07:34

MM - hope you are feeling ok today? and DON'T OVERDO it again, OK???!!

Alice - i have no idea what a Madeira cake is..... but i have made normal sponge (there is a recipe on the packaging) will they still be ok to eat tomorrow? we can always just eat these ones today, lol, and make more

HMHB - sorry you got passed around like that, grr for you. hope you are calmer today.
there are tips for 'encouraging' the baby to move that might help in the future, i can't remember them all but some are, drink some cold water, put cold bag of peas on stomach, etc.

TrillianAstra · 14/05/2009 08:56

Hi everyone. Think I will make a list for today, but it might not be a very extensive one. Welcome newbies too.

Muppets they didn't call me so I assume they've found someone who would work the weekends.

JKS you need to set up a code of some kind, tell everyone in the weeks preceeding that your codeword is peanutbutter and then get your friend to join under her own name and post about how 'peanutbutter' is doing. If she decides to join MN then she could search, btu if she's not really interested in joining and it's a one-off then she probably won't bother. Oh, and I think normal sponge will be absolutely fine for a couple of days, especially if you can get it in an airtight conatiner.

HMHB how are you today?

drink tea DONE
MN DOING
get up and dressed properly
hoover
washing up
text friend about taking her coat back
try to persuade her to take me to her posh gym
