Oh dear have slumped and feel crap can actually feel myself nodding off.
The bloody HV has not turned up and I am seriously thinking about making beans on toast for tea .

The house is a complete pit now too and mil is coming to drop dd off and I have to tidy up because sofa is arriving later .

TrillianEAstraEgg · 07/04/2009 15:15

Sounds like you need to raise your blood sugar CWWM. Tea and a biscuit?

Here's the cut-your-own-hair link (well, one of them).

wastingmyeasternameopportunity · 07/04/2009 16:26

Plum - the Philadelphia one ...

Trillian - It's his first birthday in May. We're just having family round for either barbecue if it's nice or tea party if not. I need to decide what I'm doing about the cake and when we'll do the food shop for it etc. Can't believe he's nearly one!

Alice - the 3rd best hotel? I wonder how they worked that out?

I've got curly hair too, and have cut it in the past, but only when it was quite short. What I do is grab a section, twist it and then snip into the ends. Wouldn't do it if I had straight hair, all the mistakes would show!

Straight hair is allowed, it looks like a lot of people would like to have straight hair, you are lucky because you don't need to iron yours!

JustKeepSwimmingInChocolate · 07/04/2009 17:34

I mostly have straight hair, except for the greys which stick straight up and look obvious

TrillianEAstraEgg · 07/04/2009 17:43

I was deforsting some meat that I had bought fresh and then frozen in the plastic packaging.

So I stabbed a few holes in the lid and stuck it in the microwave on 'defrost'.

Apparently some shops feel the need to use a metal security tag thingy on £3 worth of beef. Cue black smoke, small fire, melted plastic on microwave, greasy blackness all through microwave (including in air vents).

It still actually will heat stuff, but it spews out brunt-plastic smell as you can't get intot he air vents to clean them. So we've got a new shiny silver microwave with a grill instead

PlumBumMum · 07/04/2009 17:52

Flamesparrow · 07/04/2009 18:08

It has taken since OCTOBER to grow a decent length, and even now won't go without straightening.

wastingmyeasternameopportunity · 07/04/2009 18:22

Well TA I felt really old last week, ds asked me did I watch something on Jetix when Iwas a little girl and I was like there was

just 4 channels
kids tv everyday at 12noon and then after school thats it
saturday morning

he was

but had a wee trip down memory lane showing him and dd all the programs I watched, was so pleased when I found mooncat as nobody ever seems to remember that, (I was starting to think I had made it up)

Anyway he thought He-man was just the coolest thing ever, was even more impressed that he was called Prince Adam, I had completely forgot
