here you go - new shiny thread all ready for us when the current one fills up

OP posts:
MuppetsMuggle · 07/04/2009 19:22

I remember She-Ra, Thundercats, Raggy Dolls etc.

Thank you for the welcome.

Today i've:

Got DD and me up
Got bathed and dressed
Had cuppa T and breakfast.
Brushed our teeth
Went shopping
came back put washing on and out
Made lunch
washed and wiped
played with DD
gave DD some tea
got her into her pjs
put to bed
Started to argue with DP

Which seems to be continuing

PlumBumMum · 07/04/2009 19:33

MM hope its nothing too serious

MuppetsMuggle · 07/04/2009 19:48

Plum its over how I like things to be tidy, and he can't get to grips with it

PlumBumMum · 07/04/2009 20:01

I'm sure you'll work it out, sometimes I let things slide with dh because the arguement would outway the offence, and I know he does with me

When he does things that really niggle me I just get up and correct them there and then, but then I can be OCD about stupid things and sometimes he does it just to see if I'll realise, he is still amazed by the little things that annoy me

FAQinglovely · 07/04/2009 20:08

Plum - he did say this evening you have OCD , i just said he can't take constructive critisicm about things. I've been really good this week about not trying to have a go at him as he has been poorly, but tbh thats not really an excuse.

Hi All,

Sounds like the sofa has been calling us all today. You had a good kip FAQ! Glad you have the new sofa at last Comewhine.

I crashed out when I got in from work so basically have not done any jobs at all!!!!!!!!!! In fact a fair few done by DH - will I get chucked off the list???

Muppets - have to confess DH is more tidy than me. He does my head in when he has one of his tidying phases which involve lots of rushing round usually when I am wanting a cup of tea and a break. He doesn't have the same standards though e.g. uses dirty kitchen cloths. Oh god I'm definitely getting chucked off after that confession.

Jobs
Find some clothes that fit and get ready for work done
Get to work late done
Halfheartedly attend work done
Get DS ready for bed and into bed done
Make tea for me and DH and his mate - done by DH
Buy nappies / wipes - er done by DH (he is a teacher therefore on holiday)
Sort kitchen done
Have lie down
Relax in front of trash tv done
Early night

ToDo
Buy new book done
Get some decent maternity clothes
Get a Wii Fit

wastingmyeasternameopportunity · 07/04/2009 22:29

Turns out I can buy the yarn I need in this country mail order. Why I didn't check that before I don't know!

Anyone help with how to cook belly pork?

alicecrail · 08/04/2009 07:33

HMHB my dh is the same. I do the general day to day monotonous crap but when he's decided he will do something (would have taken at least 6 months build up) he just attacks it. For example: he had to cut dd blackout blind to size, he tried doing it up the stairs so i told him he would be better doing it in the living room so he rolls it out without moving anything off the floor!! (disaproving bunnies make me laugh!) oh, and he's crap at washing up! but i love him anyway (and our dishwasher is arriving next week

Can't be bothered with a list this early, will be back later. We are going to my friends for an easter egg hunt (could be indoors at this rate)

MuppetsMuggle · 08/04/2009 07:38

HM - Its just soo frustrating, half the time I think he does it on purpose! He doesn't even use a proper dishcloth. He has a delayed reaction or when it suits him approach to being tidy. I've been at my mums for the last 3 nights (he's ill and a miserable git) went home yesterday and stuff everywhere, being ill is no excuse. I just picked up my bag and walked out, told him to sort himself out! grrr

Flamesparrow · 08/04/2009 07:47

Get the feeling that today won't be quite as successful.

Straighten Hair

Washing (x at least 1)

alicecrail · 08/04/2009 08:21

Everyone up done

Muck out exercise horses

TA - you're taking DP's lab(rador) to the pub? interesting but i think you should maybe take another person or you'll be one of these 'village characters' always seen sitting at the bar with their dog

TrillianEAstraEgg · 08/04/2009 09:01

I love going to pubs with dogs, but actually this lab is a group of people who work in a lab(oratory)

morning everyone - did you see my post on your thread about your home charter last night???

It seems to be working (although early days obviously). He told me the truth about what time he actually woke up, very early, but he lay in his bed and read as we'd agreed, and then told me what time he'd come downstairs.

And he's followed some of the other "rules" he made himself as well

I WILL get more stuff done today. DH is picking the boys up tomorrow afternoon and having them until Sunday late afternoon - and I'd really like to be able to relax and study (in between playing for Easter Services) rather than tidy up mess.

So list for today

  • Make DS's some toast
  • Get DS's dressed
  • Have a bath
  • Dry hair and get dressed
  • Load dishwasher and put it on
  • Washing
  • Get it dried
  • Ironing
  • Put clothes away
  • Try and find all the cot blankets/sheets
  • Tidy and clean computer desk
  • Sort window sill
  • Tidy kitchen worktops and clean
  • Empty dishwasher
  • Sort filing tray
  • Lunch
  • Dinner
  • Study
  • Budget for rest of the month and next month

will no doubt add more as the day goes on
