Parsleypants · 02/04/2009 13:34

Right, well before I get done under the trade description act, we have a combined age of nearly 81 - he is going to be 46 and I am 35, so can I call him my boyfriend ? We've been together just over three months and it's quite serious. He loves music, any sort really but especially the stuff that reminds him of his mis-spent youth, - punk and ska etc. He's a smart dresser. Spent ages on here yesterday going through present threads to find inspriation, don't want to go down road of thrill experiences etc as don't really know him well enough to know whether he'd love or hate it, and he borrowed a friend's Porsche recently anyway for the weekend - would have done Vinopolis or similar but he has just been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes so has cut down on alcohol - when I asked him what he wanted, he said a steamer ! I can't buy him a bloody steamer, he spoils me ridiculously! Budget £100 max - was thinking really nice shirt from Hackett - or is that too boring for words?

Alibabaandthe40bunnies · 02/04/2009 13:38

Ooh he sounds nice

Does he like aftershave etc? Cufflinks if he is a smart dresser?
I know what you mean about shirts being boring, but I often buy DH one as a pressie. In fact his birthday presents 2 weeks ago were a new shirt (Boden ) and a bottle of the new Chanel aftershave which he liked.

Parsleypants · 02/04/2009 13:52

Ali, now aftershave is a good idea, he likes Chanel Allure but has some so maybe I'll get him some of the shower gel or something, thanks for the idea! With a shirt and maybe a steamer after all, they are half price in our local kitchen shop!

alicecrail · 02/04/2009 14:11
