Morning slatterns

Plum - I'm glad you're feeling a bit better.

Alice - mmm dinner sounds yummy. I always end up talking about kids whenever I go anywhere too.

JKS - night nurse is lethal stuff, glad you got more sleep though!

CWWM - I'm glad he's sucking up. You just concentrate on you and the baby

The man is here doing the kitchen floor - arrived at half 8 and we were all still in our pjs . I will be so happy to have it done and the fridge back in it's proper place rather than humming like a spaceship in the dining room.

Today
Up, showered and dressed
DS up and dressed - done
Breakfast x 3
Wash nappies - done
2 other loads of washing
Lunch x 3
Put everything back into kitchen - clearly this will be DH not me.
Sort DS CTF

Clear up after dinner
Tidy round before bed

Morning everyone . DD2 won the easter bonnet competition this morning . DDs1/3 were runners up in their classes .

I have a childfree day and may go back to bed will come back and post if I do do anything .

Have a great day slatterns.

Wintersun · 02/04/2009 10:24

Good morning everyone.

Can I dump my to do list here again today?

(I'm a part-timer here as I work part time. Hope no one minds but I find it really helpful to put my list here. Working part time is terrible for the state of my house. By Wednesday its an embarassing tip!)

Laundry x2 1 done
empty dishwasher
clean kitchen
clean living room
clean bathroom
put away mountain of clothes URGENT its taking over the house
clean ds's bedroom
print out party invites and post
drop off food at ils
go shopping
buy ds2 stuff online
cook dinner

FAQinglovely · 02/04/2009 10:25

hello Winter - of course you can dump your list here - I renamed the thread slightly this time as I realised that some people who really aren't slatterns were avoiding the thread as they didn't realise it was also just a dumping ground for "to do" lists for each day

Parsleypants · 02/04/2009 12:25

Right, hello ladies, thank you for all the welcomes! I have lots to do today and ds is off school with a sore throat, argh...

Washing up and clean kitchen i.e. wipe down surfaces, clean sink with Cif
Peg out the washing
Dust whole house
Clean hamster's cage before the RSPCA raid the premises
Swiff and mop the floors
Sort out my work bag and what needs to be done for school over the holidays, i.e. lots
Go to post office
Drop £10 through friend's door for a mutual friend's joint bday present
Go shopping for boyfriend's birthday present, completely clueless and it's our first birthday together, so no pressure to get it right, obviously...

Just having a quick cup of tea before launching in to it! Hope everyone has a good day!

wastingmyeasternameopportunity · 02/04/2009 12:27

I get your point Trillian, though sometimes hoovering is fun, I like all the bits of crud and dust disappearing.
What area is your phd in? just cos I'm nosy ()

JKS, women have a lower centre of gravity which would make it easier, but we don't have to tell them that!

Alibabaandthe40bunnies · 02/04/2009 12:53

He is finished!! We have to wait for the edges to dry and then we can move everything back in.

Trillian you are quite productive this morning

Parsley - ooh exciting, how new is the boyfriend - can we help with present ideas?

PlumBumMum · 02/04/2009 13:02

TrillianEAstraEgg · 02/04/2009 13:08

at 'quite productive this morning'. Do I get a gold star? Feel like you are all professional busy mummies and I am a slacker student-type who should just get on with the three things I have to do every day (which is why I fill up my list with silliness).

JKS - where are you going out for dinner?

PBM - you bought a mooncup as a present for your friend who's just had a baby? I'm sure I must have read that wrong.

Wasting - I do quite like seeing all the stuff inside my cheapo-dyson-ripoff-hoover swirling around. I'm always at how much there was even when it doesn't look dirty.

Boyfriend present buying could be fun Parsley- how old is he, what's your budget, and does he have any special interests?

PlumBumMum · 02/04/2009 13:09

Nope moon cup for me!
TA you do make me laugh,

Alibabaandthe40bunnies · 02/04/2009 13:17

ROFL at busy professional Mummy - I am MNing in my pjs still!! In fact I must go and get dressed before DS wakes up from his nap and wants lunch.

JustKeepSwimmingInChocolate · 02/04/2009 13:28

I rather like the idea of you thinking i'm a 'professional busy Mum'

Lazyarse is more like it
