here you go - new shiny thread all ready for us when the current one fills up

Took a photo of big wall, can't be bothered loading it on as my camera dosen't seem to want to download just one photo[grr], although it looks nicer in photo, more lemon than yellow

Have a lovely pencil drawing I did for my GCSE of an older farmer friend warming by his range going to get that framed and hang in middle of big wall, as dh wanted my other drawing out in hall, it was too small for big wall,(was only hung there because there was already a nail there when we moved)

Very nice yellow kitchen there PBM.

I went for a driving lesson this morning (passed test years ago but wanted to practise before going out in our car).

Hello, can I join? I am a teacher who is fearsomely organised in term time but I tend to fall apart in the holidays and do bugger all! Ds is in school until Friday, I finished last Friday and since then have been been mainly sleeping and eating chocolate . The house is in a shocking state. So, things to do before I collect him later are:

Tidy kitchen which involves doing a stack of washing up, no dishwasher, argh!
Put another load of washing on (one in already)
Tidy up downstairs including my desk which is a sight to behold
Hoover whole house
Tidy my bedroom which is a disgrace and has clothes, mugs, papers etc everywhere
Change both our beds
Clean bathroom thoroughly

I want to cry!!

PBM - we still have pictures on hooks just like that! been here nearly 5 years....
also we have tons of pictures unframed that we've had for years just waiting for the time/inclination/money to frame them, then have to decide where to hang everything - figure it's a 10 year job minimum

Friend came and shared fish and chips so i didn't eat to much thankfully, now attacking kitchen & going to hang some laundry out.

• put together climbing frame we were given last year
• sort babysitter for last date DH has given me
• plan dinners out doing
• clean carpets (either 'get a man in' or hire a cleaner & diy)

Yay, I'm glad you find my lists amusing CWWM. I have to put something on them to try to make it look like I am busy even thought I am a proper slattern having no kids (I should have toones of spare time to clean my skirting boards, but somehow I don't).

Our kitchen is out of bounds, the floor primer (or something like that) is drying so we're having take away tonight - can't decide what to get though. New floor goes down tomorrow.

We've been wanting something to house all our CD's in for a while (currently in crates in the garage) and found a nice oak chest of drawers / CD cabinet in Next. DH ordered it online. We found out they tried to deliver it without letting us know so we missed it. They had totally wrong contact details for us. Now they are trying to deliver it this weekend but we are away. I rang them to see if they can deliver it another time. They now say we won't get it til after Easter.

They are mad since we don't pay them until we take receipt of the item yet it seems to be so difficult to get the item to us.

We are just disappointed we haven't got the ruddy thing since it's been ordered since Feb!

Next rant over.

For crap tv tonight recommend The Apprentice. Excellent for shouting at tv opportunities.

Halfmum halfbiscuit, did I say congrats on the pg can't be bothered going back through thread and I was just about to tell JKS to watch apprentice, I'm going to relax tonight and Jon & Kate plus 8 starts tonight again, that woman makes me want to be so organised

last 2 nights wasn't in bed before 1, so thats not helping me get better, if I still have no voice in the morn I think it will be a trip to doctors

Anyway someone has to come take my temperature as dinner is cooked, eaten and the kitchen is clean, exp clean pots sitting on drainer

Thanks for the congrats PlumBum. You sound poorly, are you taking vit C's? Works for me. My nutritionist friend says if you have a cold take up to 5-7000mgs Vit C a day and you know you have too much when your poo goes runny (nice). But it really helps the immune system as does Omega 3-6-9. I usually have 3-4 tablets of vit c a day if I am rough.

RR is reading recovery . DD gets to do it for 6 months now she has turned 6 basically a teacher trained in it reads for 30 mins every day with dd and then she fetches the book home and we do it with her too + some writing . It is really good dd2 did it last year and really came on. She is reading books meant for a 8/9 year old now so it is well worth it .

Eggs to remind me to get ds two cartons of eggs for his easter model .

Lolly sticks were painted because he did a football pitch and he used the sticks as posts for the goals .
