Coin down the toilet

My 3 yo ds put a coin down the toilet. It has been there a few days now. We can't retrieve it as it is quite far back & under. I've been putting bleach in every day to see if that would help but it just looks like a permanent poo stain. Has anyone got any remedies? Has it happened to anyone else?! Please say it has 🙈

I wonder if you have a build up of limescale that the coin has welded itself into? Hard water area?

If so, pump the toilet brush like a plunger to splash as much of the u-bend water back over the bend as poss, then use a sponge to remove the remaining water.
Empty in a bottle of neat white vinegar. Use toilet roll soaked in vinegar to lay over any vertical sides/hard to soak bits.

The coin will hopefully come away with any limescale. I use a scrubby sponge & pink stuff to get rid of stubborn build up - it's both revolting & so satisfying.

Oh this is great ! I've been scrubbing away at limescale with my marigolds on but I'm going to give this a go. Thanks x

This doesn't sound as bad as the LOL doll that the kids decided to flush down ours. Reached down to pull her out but she was so wedged down, I accidentally beheaded her trying to pull her out, then the body was completely stuck. Couldn't get a grip of her spindly neck, which was now half way up the fecking u-bend, and was too embarrassed to call a plumber as on my way to get a plunger, one of the kids then took a humongous crap in said toilet, which was now also stuck... Sat there, unable to get past the headless corpse. Ended up buying a ton of drain unblocker and caustic soda, and spent days trying to melt/disintergrate her body which was now in a sea of stinking, brown, shitty water. How the feck the pipes survived this whole ordeal I'll never know, but about a week (and ten thousand flushes) later, the water was clear, it stopped rising to the rim, after every flush, and there was no sign of miss sassy pants. I assume her extremities must have dissolved away enough in the cocktail of chemicals and shite for her to push her way along on her final journey to the sewers. I felt bad, but there was no way I was getting a plumber out to see this shit show. Turns out the kids had cut her hair and drew on her face, which is why they were embarrassed and flushed her... And the head was the only part that survived to tell the tale. #silentwitness

Funniest thing I have heard in ages😂I hope you had another toilet to use in the house whilst you waiting for the blockage to clear.

Last week while doing my hair I knocked a scrunchie off the cistern which whooshed into the toilet .

Unfortunately I had bleach in there at the time , so when I fished it out it was a dirty white colour .[so is my hand but that's another story].

If OP will lend me a couple of cans of coke to pour on the scrunchie , would it restore some colour , as I'm thinking a brownish one would look ok ? 🤔
