Boring question - how often does your washing machine go on?

As a family of 4 (2 adults, 1 toddler, 1 baby, oh and a cat) our washing machine is on every day, and every so often, twice a day. I feel like this is too much. It's expensive, not environmentally friendly and constant work (I know that goes without saying with 2 dc).
Any tips?

2 adults, 2 loads a week (10kg top loader). One load bedding, towels and any white clothes. Other load everything else. Rewear clothes for several days, although clean pants and socks every day.

2 adults 2 children (husband works away through the week) about once a day during the week on a weekend a few loads a day to wash husbands stuff from the week. Sometimes I'll not do a load each day and do a few loads over a day or two just depends but that's a rough estimate.

I live on my own and used to do two loads a week, with the cost of energy going up I've managed to get to once a week, with a load of bedding and towels every three weeks.

On a good weekend I can get all the laundry done on Sunday (with maybe one load being carried over to the Monday). I rarely then use the machine in the week. 2 adults, 2 late Primary age kids.

Family of 10 here (2 adults 4 teenagers 2 primary 1 toddler 1 baby) with uniforms, bedding, work clothes, teenagers obsession with chucking clean clothes in was I’d say probably 5-6 times a day some days.

Fortunately doing laundry is my favourite household chore!

Feels like the perpetual motion machine, it is on all the bloody time - 4 adults.
