I would have an indoor pool

and cinema room

and would have a huge conservatory so we could sit out and enjoy the views down the garden

and loads and loads of cupboards so I never run out of room to put anything

We have sooooooooooo much stuff/junk

We are sooooooooooooooo not minimilistic

What about you??????

I am watching CRIBBS on TMF they have formal rooms like dining rooms but they don't use them

.

I would have a kitchen big enough to have a kitchen table in it.

I would have an "adult only" living room that was ALWAYS clean and tidy.

So, I would need a children's room that they can mess up.

I would have a bedroom for each child and a bedroom for us that was big enough to have a HUGE bed so that all the kids can fit in it with us comfortably.

And, if I had that much money, I'd maybe skimp a bit on the house and have a cleaner and someone to iron my clothes (because I'm a lazy sod)

twelveyeargap · 24/03/2007 14:18

The kids are watching the Cribs thing now as well. It's so blatant that most of them have employed stylists and that none of it is their own taste.

If I had that much money, I doubt I'd choose any of those houses. Booorrriingg.

Would love to have about half a mil to spend on my own house. I wouldn't move, I'd stay in it and improve it and put a heated swimming pool in the garden and pay for a tanker to come and fill it during the drought.

hatwoman · 24/03/2007 14:20

I'd have land. and a view. preferably over water.

wildwoman · 24/03/2007 14:22

I'd have an enourmous indoor pool. And a soft play palce to wear dcs out in!

wildwoman · 24/03/2007 14:23

and accomodation for a maid, gardener, general dogsbody...

wildwoman · 24/03/2007 14:23

walk in fridge....

MarsLady · 24/03/2007 14:24

My house would have side access where the muddy boots could be left and the brollies and buggies etc could go.

My futility room would have space for all the laundry stuff and space for ironing.

There would be lots of light, lots of land and a library! The library would be all for me. It would be floor to ceiling shelving with books books books books books! Sigh............

I would have several bathrooms, but the most important bathroom would have a jacuzzi style bath and a shower and little ledges for my candles and yes..... a bookcase (obviously well designed so that the books didn't suffer steam damage) and a built in music system.

There are many things that I would put in it but that would do for starters. Bet I think of more things as the day goes by.

wildwoman · 24/03/2007 14:24

ooh! and a bedroom that las literally that, wall to wall mattress

WideWebWitch · 24/03/2007 14:24

A home cinema, definitely, with posh velvet large cinema seating for lots of people, a popcorn machine
a massive room of my own with blackout blinds, a super king size bed, and thick creamy curtains and carpets
2 ovens, a wonderful kitchen
a library, with just books, squishy sofas and a coffee machine
a beach view

MarsLady · 24/03/2007 14:26

womblingalong · 24/03/2007 14:29

A Mahoosive kitchen with space for a table, a sofa, play area & desk with Fridge drawers

Also loads of cupboards, especially lots of shoe cupboards

womblingalong · 24/03/2007 14:32

dur - dressing rooms! Also forgot a huge pantry cupboard, and a walled garden, with playhouse & outside workshop for my DH

KTeePee · 24/03/2007 14:33

A big garden and off-street parking would be top of the list (the lack of those are the only things I really dislike about our house...)

But a fantasy list would include a music room so we could have a piano and a guest annex for when family come to visit.

at the idea of a "futility" room womblingalong!

brimfull · 24/03/2007 14:36

I play SPOT THE BOOK when I watch cribs. They never have any books ..it amazes me!

Tortington · 24/03/2007 14:38

womblingalong · 24/03/2007 14:40

Me too Ggirl, they never have books, only dvd's and cd's. My dh and I used to have a checklist when watching Cribs:

walk in wardrobe - check
Fish Tank - check
Piano - check
Huge Fridge - Check
Pool - check

etc etc, they were all so formulaic, it's untrue!
