I would have an indoor pool

and cinema room

and would have a huge conservatory so we could sit out and enjoy the views down the garden

and loads and loads of cupboards so I never run out of room to put anything

We have sooooooooooo much stuff/junk

We are sooooooooooooooo not minimilistic

What about you??????

I am watching CRIBBS on TMF they have formal rooms like dining rooms but they don't use them

KTeePee · 24/03/2007 14:58

What is Cribs btw?

womblingalong · 24/03/2007 15:00

I know Mars, just filled with a feeling f futility everytime I look at my ironing pile!

KTeePee Cribs is an MTV programme where rch and famous nobs show you round their interior designed houses - usually american and full of bling!

Boobsgonesouth · 24/03/2007 15:02

somewhere rural, and built on the centre of the plot - the nor, as listed here, so indoor swimming pool, I'd like a gym and a studio so that I could work out with my personal trainer , DH would have his own muisc studio, then a playroom big enough for an enormous scaletrix track, stables with ponies and then an animal area so that we wecould have lots of little cuddly things to look after , also love to develop a large vegetable plot and have chickens for fresh eggs....

woops, just woken up !!!!

hatwoman · 24/03/2007 15:40

I'd have a deck that went out over my private lake

RTKangaMummy · 24/03/2007 18:54

Anyone else?

OP posts:
Wilbur · 24/03/2007 19:07

A huge retinue of staff.

Blondilocks · 24/03/2007 19:09

I'd have thought you could have pretty much everything for that much! Would definitely build my own, would have a massive underground garage, games/club room with bar & dance floor, indoor & outdoor pool, pool house, lake, landscaped gardens, hot tub, separate "granny flat" for visitors/DD when she's older, cinema room, bowling alley... could be here forever!

Gingermonkey · 24/03/2007 19:29

I would buy Russell Simmons' house off him. He has it pretty much as I want it! (it's always on Cribs, it's amazing!).

fortyplus · 24/03/2007 19:36

I'll have...

A lake with a little wooden rowing boat
Stables
Cross Country Courses - one for the horse and one for the kids!
Indoor pool with doors that completely slide back to the open air
Gym
Maybe a tennis court?
Ball room

Not too greedy, I hope

southeastastra · 24/03/2007 20:22

i would build an estate of affordable houses and live with all my friends. and we'd keep hens and goats

NannyL · 24/03/2007 20:29

a cream 5 door aga

Flamesparrow · 24/03/2007 20:31

Pool

Sooooooooooooo much storage

A HUGE kitchen

A library (to make my diningroom clear )

A laundry (give me space to dry, not have it hung round the house etc...)

Somewhere I could have lots of pets

Ooh and grow veg

Gingermonkey · 24/03/2007 20:34

southeast, you're too nice. Now I feel guilty for living my fabulous life in my secure estate away from my friends who can't past security!!!!!!

nickytwotimes · 24/03/2007 20:36

a fecking top of the range burgalar alarm

fortyplus · 24/03/2007 20:36

southeastastra - you could build a fab estate for £20 million! What a great idea.

southeastastra · 24/03/2007 20:46

i know a small commune

we have space around here to build houses and the council has a requirement to build tons. but they choose to let developers who will build million house developments win.

then people winge about the green belt. but if people weren't so greedy we could all live together.

fortyplus · 24/03/2007 20:53

Where we are any greenfield development over 15 properties has to be 35% affordable.

fortyplus · 24/03/2007 20:56

I do confess to whinging about the Green Belt, though - I can't see the sense of building on it when there are so many brownfield sites available. I live on the edge of a fairly large town and it's great to get out into the countryside.

southeastastra · 24/03/2007 20:59

it's mad here there is so much land. but they don't seem interested in housing the community. seems they want to 'up' the area.

Mum2FunkyDude · 24/03/2007 21:09

For that amount of money I will have my own island with my own house away from them...and of course Internet connection.

bran · 24/03/2007 21:14

Was anyone at Moby's house? It looked as though he had forgotten to buy furniture. And he showed his bathroom, and there were no toiletries, not even a toothbrush, just a few face-clothes and hand towels rolled up hotel-style.

Aloveheart · 24/03/2007 21:14

A cleaner!!

bran · 24/03/2007 21:24

Actually I have lots of ideas about my perfect house. I'd like to have a bedroom suite with a foyer before you get to the bedroom. The bedroom would only have a bed and side tables and be very serene and quiet, and off the foyer dh and I would each have a bathroom and dressing room/huge walk in wardrobe. I'd like to have a hot house with tropical fruit trees and ponds with tropical fish in it. If I was in the right location I would love to have an observatory with a great big telescope and a retracting roof. I like to have lots of land, preferably mountainous or rolling hills with forests (deciduous not evergreen).

I'm really drawn to the idea of a futility room , of course I would rarely go in there as I would have staff to all that sort of stuff for me.

I really should have been born a rich Edwardian man.

Blandmum · 24/03/2007 21:26
