I would have an indoor pool

and cinema room

and would have a huge conservatory so we could sit out and enjoy the views down the garden

and loads and loads of cupboards so I never run out of room to put anything

We have sooooooooooo much stuff/junk

We are sooooooooooooooo not minimilistic

What about you??????

I am watching CRIBBS on TMF they have formal rooms like dining rooms but they don't use them

All my family and friends - but it'd need to be big enough for us to get away from each other

TeeCee · 10/04/2007 15:57

LOL. Can you tend veg and chickens?
You can have a room with pleasure!

ohhhh, I need to add something to my house, (i suddenly taking this very seriously, but this is important)

I need to have a seperate self contained granny sort of lflat attached to my house. Only it wouldn't be a granay flat it would be a daughter flat so my lovlet Lottie (who has Downb's syndrome) could live next door to me and be independent but be safe and she'd always have me just next door.
VERY IMPORATNT factor to my house. If she chose not to live there it would soemwhere for any of my kids to come and stay with their kids when they were older.

So that flat would have at least 2 bedrooms, a kitchen with seating area, a bathroom, and a little sitting room and a little gym.

A house that had all the mod cons, 4 bedrooms, a craft room, a library and a seperate bungalow for my dad. Thr bungalow would need to have a library, study, dining room, large modern kitchen, comfortable living room and a nice garden for us all to enjoy.

A decent wine cellar
A "secret" room a la Scooby Doo haunted house type thingy - you know - lean against a fireplace and everything swizzles round - and - BEHOLD - Sanctuary

Actually if I could combine the wine cellar with the secret room - Heaven !!

MiaWallace · 10/04/2007 16:12

TeeCee, your Lottie flat made me smile.

TeeCee · 10/04/2007 16:17

Hmmm, gone all thoughtful and would sacrifice everything nice in my dream house for my 'Lotties Flat', that's actually all I really want. Can live without the hammock and the wet rooma nd all the other stuff.

Would be nice to have it ALL though!

TheAngelWearsPrada · 10/04/2007 16:20

Have you seen the house on rightmove for £70m?

They have had that house on the market for years.

I'm just trying to save the 5% deposit

MadamePlatypus · 11/04/2007 23:08

The main thing about my house would be that it would be on the beach and surrounded by countryside. One big room for living in - kitchen, huge battered oak table, fireplace, lots of rugs and comfy places to sit and amazing views. I think we would probably need a very small study, but I think it would be best if this was not connected to the house - maybe in a lovely shed in the grounds? I would also like a music room. We would need a bedroom for me and DH, and a bedroom each for DS and DD, but these wouldn't need to be big. I don't think we would need ensuites, but I suppose a couple of loos would be useful. The garden would be landscaped to blend into the surrounding countryside, and would include a very long swimming pool. I don't think I have quite spent all my money yet, so I would also have a yacht.
