oh good the freezer - ours isn't well stocked at the moment so I keep thinking I should sort through it.

Also need to ~
~mop floors
~load up new chest of drawers in dd's room (dh turned up with some last night given by some friends who have just moved house). Good timing cos dd has been in need of extra storage for a while.
~ironing
~put ironing away
~run errands for dh
~sort out some work ready to take to work tomorrow
~quick hoover downstairs
~good wipe of kitchen surfaces

Think that's it
See you all later

glitterfairyrenewed · 12/01/2007 07:49

Well I managed to shine my sink yesterday and do a little tidying but that was about it!

Today will be better. My freezer has only been stocked for three weeks and was cleaned before I did that so it is ok. May do the firdge as I didnt do it the other day and there are jars lurking at the back with goodness only knows what on. I have told my friends that i do my cleaning online now and they think it is a magic way of keeping a house tidy !

Cappuccino · 12/01/2007 07:50

okay yesterday went well

so today will be

clean out the freezer
clean out one kitchen cupboard (I've been going round the kitchen each time we're here)
put away washed nappies
load of washing done
hotspots in kitchen done
hang up new washing on airer
pay bills/ NI forms
errand day - need to find the missing Dora the Explorer video and then hand over a squillion pounds in late fees
go to Chinese food shop
buy screws

satinshoes · 12/01/2007 08:20

Hi everyone,

I did nothing yesterday except DH and I took DD1 out swimming. I'd already done the mission the day before though

It was part of my weeks plan to clear out the freezer so that's a good mission.

had a good night's sleep last night - yay! DD2 slept 12.15-3.45 (v. good) and then 4.45-7.15 and she's sleeping again. Not surpising after she was up 6 hours in the evening - eek. I'd forgotten how tiring the first couple of months of a new baby are!

Sorry nt up to what everyone else has been up to but hope you're all ok.

JustIvor · 12/01/2007 08:47

Hello to all!

Yes, Jelley, I smiled at that! I love little kids. I like doing jigsaws and playing with trainsets and stuff so that age group suits me well.

That's a good list you've got there shouldbe. I'm going to cheat a bit and copy yesterdays list as most of it either didn't get done or else needs to be done again today.

I agree satin, the first few months are so tiring. Have a good day!

The list for today:-
~ get showered and dressed
~ return some unwanted stuff
~ tidy kitchen
~ strip the beds and do the washing
~ do some ironing
~ write a couple of e-mails (I can't remember really what these were!)
~ check shoes for which ones need reheeling
~ walk the dog
~ put a new chequebook in my handbag
~ take a cheque and a skirt to a friend
~ ring Boden
Will lurk whilst I finish my cup of tea then off to get cracking!

satinshoes · 12/01/2007 08:57

Yay. I have the d/w loaded, w/m on, DD2 eating breakfast, DD1 sleeping. I've cleared out the fridge & freezer & checked the cupboards & done a Tesco order for tomorrow.

Now all I need to do is clean the fridge and mop the floor and then this zone is complete

...which leaves the rest of the house!

Jelley · 12/01/2007 09:02

satin. You are shaming me into doing some work.
So far I have fed everyone, sent dd1 to school with a neighbour, put washing machine on, and sat on mn for too long.

I will get started now.

~Washing/Drying to swop over
~Wash spare duvet cover (dd1 has the spare duvet as she is always cold in bed)

~Freezer

Will get to it while I only have one small child!

See you in a bit

JustIvor · 12/01/2007 09:16

You and me both Jelley! Right, I'm going now (once Pause for thought finishes on Radio 2) and will do as many jobs as possible before 10.30am when I'll come back and report on progress.

tortoise · 12/01/2007 09:25

Morning.
My legs hurt!
I can't think of a list so will just do some cleaning in the kitchen.

I went to bed earlier than normal last night hoping to get more sllep but DD's woke an hour earlier than normal.

shouldbedoingthehousework · 12/01/2007 09:48

only just back from the school run (on my bike tort I'll have achy legs later - it's v hilly round here) so time is ticking already - have to leave to collect ds at 11.30! Am never going to get through my list!
Also, opened utility room door to get kids coats on before school to find cat has had a very upset stomach in there over-night cat-poo everywhere ! did a quick clean-up but need to give floor in there an extra mop today (yuk!).

Better get on or before I know it it'll be almost time to go again.

satinshoes you put the rest of us to shame!

DimpledThighs · 12/01/2007 10:01

Hi all

Am back after using dd starting school as a bit of an excuse to slack off cannot believe how stressful I have found it - but today she didn't cry so I ought to get back to it!

tortoise I told you - the worst bit is when you find yourself tentatively lowering yourself down onto the loo seat! It will not be as bad after teh second go and after teh third I didn't feel a thing and it means it's working (oh - that reads back a bit rude!)

cappacino glad I am not the only one who runs up huge fines - have a mental block on a load of books that I can see from here!

satinshoes an as amazed as ever to see you here with lists! It is so hard in teh first few months so you do devserve a bit of a rest now and again (I had about a year off from housework if I remember) but of course always nice to read your posts.

Nice to see everyone again!

Me today:

-WM
-DW
-swish swipe bathroom and kitchen
-sainsburys
-fridge
-make stuff for supper
-find library books thanks capp!
-tidy round putting bits away

see you later!

satinshoes · 12/01/2007 11:07

hi everyone. you are all so kind Really though I am doing the minimum just to keep on top of things. Like to come on here and chat though

Just been into town with DDs to get DD1s feet checked. Another few weeks in her shoes thankfully as they cost a bomb. We then had a drink in cafe while DD2 has slept through it all. AND i am very pleased as first time I've been out with the 2 of them and had to walk anywhere. Normally when DH is around DD1 expects to be carried but today she held my hand all the way around town! yay. makes me wonder why I soent £50 on a buggy board that she wont use though

Keep going everyone. You're doing great!

P.S Jelley if i every have any energy before 8am, I'll start opening the threads again
