Its pouring with rain here and i have no motivation to do anything.

lol @ Susis 'hiding' DHs trousers - apparently I do that too.

My DH is coming home early so i can cut his hair and get hair all over the kitchen floor . Other than that though I plan to do nowt more today

Tort - I'll lend you mine for free if you want? He's utterly charming with women (other than me!) and children (anyone's), looks good on a motorbike in his leathers, is fit (in the athletic sense, not necessarily in the Brad Pitt sense) but is chronically untidy.

I quite fancy some time without him actually!!! He moved out for a couple of months last year when we were having some trouble, and frankly it was great. No more listening out for the car coming down the drive, no more tiptoeing around him, no more demands for 'closeness' at 11pm when I've been asleep on my feet since about 9pm etc etc etc

While we are at it, does anyone want another daughter? 7 going on about 13! Stroppy little madam most of the time, utterly delightful a small amount of time.... I'll hang on to DS for the time being if that's okay, he's going through a rather sweet and cuddly phase at the moment. It won't last so he'll be up for grabs soon

TortUREoiseChamber · 05/10/2006 15:06

I kind of like it on my own most of the time!! I'd quite like a fit biker but no good being an untidy one!
Ive just made a cake. Its in the oven now!
Great more tidying up.

batinshoes · 05/10/2006 15:08

Tort - can I have some when it comes out the oven please

OP posts:
TortUREoiseChamber · 05/10/2006 15:11

Of course you can.It may be horrible though! I just took advice from MN thread to chuck in 6 flour,6 sugar and 6 butter with 3 eggs and bung in the oven.I have added a bag of choc chips to make it more interesting!
My cakes normally come out flat!

IvortheEngine · 05/10/2006 16:00

Send a bit of cake my way too, please!

Can I just say that if you ever see anyone walking around without a bra on, instead of thinking "Silly twit" as I would have before today, think "Oh, I wonder if she's had a needle stuck in her boob today and can't hack the digging-in-ness (not a real word, I know) of a bra."

Oh yes. Dh popped home from work and I couldn't tell him what I'd had done because he was afraid he'd faint and he couldn't even look! Wuss! I think he is officially up for grabs! Anyone want him?

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 05/10/2006 16:03

Ivor, that sounds painful... I had that done too, and a load of blood came out... eek.....

I am of the 'huge of nork' variety and looked very odd without a bra....

Flame, an I have some cake too please?? Have done absolutely nothing today, except for a daily houseblessing...
Looks tidy enough, but don't open door to understairs cupboard as you are likely to be attacked by falling debris....

peegeeweegeeWITCH · 05/10/2006 16:04

Sory, cake begging is addressed to Tort.... not Flame...

TortUREoiseChamber · 05/10/2006 16:19

Cake is out and smelling good.Little burnt round the edges and bottom.!

None until after dinner though.(Well thats what i had to tell the DD's!

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 05/10/2006 16:46

Ivor - Thanks hun I can't cat and can't afford to set it up at the moment but don't mind giving out this email address mummyhillandtheminihills at yahoo dot co dot uk. It's a bit of a long one but am happy for any one on here to use it. I have set up this one for use on forums etc, another for my family/mates to use and a seperate one for the bank etc.

IvortheEngine · 05/10/2006 16:56

I have e-mailed you, mummyhill. I've explained in it that I've used my normal e-mail address as dh must have set up the hidden identity one wrongly as it displays my name when I don't want it to. When you reply, perhaps you can explain to me what he's done wrong (if you're technically minded.) It would be great if I could correct it and have it as you've got it. Sorry that's so wordy!

mummyscaryhouseonthehill · 05/10/2006 17:14

Have replied thanks Ivor. will have a think about your email identity crisis. who did he set the new address up with?

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 05/10/2006 18:07

Hi all. I just read todays post and I cant remember whos ill are feeling low and whos done the most today. So its get well soon for those who are poorly and well done to those who have done well.
Its been raining here all day, got soaked this am and again this afternoon DSs went to school in day cloths and I got them changed at school. DD was the only 1 not to get wet. (yes I had the rain cover to day) If anyone seen me this morning, they would have thought I was leaving home. I had a very big big rucksack (the only 1 I have thats water proof!)on my back with spare cloths, coats and shoes for DSs.
I got nearly home when a car puted up and offered me a lift home, it was one of the mums from school. She knows I walk to school and she seen me this am at school and said how good I was in taking spare cloths. She also knows where I live and goes past me everyday.(x2) I dont know if I am right, but I thought she was taking the p**s when she offered me and dc a lift when we are nearly home and she knew that.
I have done the normal bits of FLYing. (Tidy round and hoover) and I have painted the top halfs of the 2 doors. I might do the bottoms halfs later if I can find some moer will power
Oh and we had no power lastnight untill 7:30am. I was looking on the net 1 minute and it all went dark and no power the next. 11 homes without power all lastnight and we dont know why.

TortUREoiseChamber · 05/10/2006 20:06

Cake anyone??
I had mine warm with custard! It wasn't the best cake ever but was nice.Choc chips all sunk to the bottom!
Hi HN.
That mum sounds really helpful! Looks like another wet one tomorrow.

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 05/10/2006 20:10

Hi tortoise. Yes please on the cake, and custard too please

Dont say its going to be wet again please. (bet the other mum wont give me a lift )

I have got the coats dry ready for tomorrow. Least DD stays dry

ParanoidAndroid · 05/10/2006 20:26

Yes please Tortoise, with custard if there's still some left!

Yum yum yum

jasnDISMemBERED · 05/10/2006 20:28

Ivor, I'm confused..why the needle in the breast.? Have you had a piercing, or have I missed something?

Please can I have some cake? I've got cream, but nothing to put it on.

I'm going to try and rescue downstairs before bed, as I'll get nothing done tomorrow. I only have 1.5 hours free on a Friday, and my neighbour had a baby last week, so I will be visiting her then

IvortheEngine · 05/10/2006 21:25

jasnDISMemBERED - They had to do a biopsy on the lump that didn't show up on the mammogram or radiogram but is definitely there. I kept my eyes shut (I do this for teeth fillings and giving blood and everything!) so I only knew what the nurse on my left hand side was telling me i.e. you'll feel some pulling and prodding now; a sharp click now, etc. She told me afterwards that the doc had made a nick in the skin (this was after doing the local anaestetic) and then he inserted one needle, took the sample, withdrew the needle and then two more. He knew where he was because the scanner showed him. Tbh it was less painful than the tiny filling I had recently. They said to expect painfulness and tenderness later once the anaestetic wore off, but it isn't too bad at all as long as nothing touches it and as long as I don't wear my bra. I'm not allowed to get it wet until after I see them again on Tues, so it's baths only for me til then. I think I'll treat myself to long leisurely baths, too. P.S. Piercing? Me? You've got to be kidding - I haven't even had my ears pierced. It's reputed to hurt, don't you know!

hazelnut - Sorry to hear about your day. Blooming rain. I think tomorrow is the same but better on the weekend.

mummyhill - will e-mail you now.

QuootieSpookypie · 05/10/2006 21:27
